How to you get the clearance lights to go on well parked or driveing
I have a 2015 2500 ltz. My passenger side mirror will start to fold in but stop short. It will fold out completely. How can I fix this?
these can be purchased on ebay for 2007-2013 models....only you have to custom wire them for the leds to work.
how do you custom wire them?

Any complaints about these mirrors not extending far enough like the old ones. I could see fine on the sides and somewhat behind my fifth wheel in my 2013 Duramax, not so with the 2018 Duramax. Found out where there use to be telescoping 4" it's now just about 2.5".
Keep your truck man. These new trucks are heaping piles of shit. Cost cutting measures taken everywhere you look. No more height adjustable seat belts, what a joke. 20k dollar cars have them. No more power adjustable pedals on any trim. The steering column is also not powered, the old one wasnt either but you'd think they would've added features this time around.

out. Put it in reverse and they come on. You can leave the switch on
while you are driving...however when you put it in park the lights will
come on even with the key off.
When I am backing up and think I need them, I just turn them on with the cargo light switch and then turn them off.
I like the new mirrors, but have a question regarding the rear assist LED lights. My father purchased a 2015 SLT 2500 HD and was supposed to come with the new tow mirrors installed, it instead was fitted with the standard mirrors like on a 1500 pick-up. The dealer replaced the mirrors an older set of mirrors, not realizing that there was an ambient air sensor in the new ones that was required for everything to work properly, and so they then replaced them with the ones as seen in the video. The only thing is, we can't seem to figure out how to get the LED lights to turn on. I had read that they should come on in reverse, then I read that if you had the cargo light on and put it in reverse they would be enabled, but this has not been the case. I am wondering if there is any checklist/troubleshooting guide to easily identify the issue. The dealer was obviously not aware of the mirror function and the truck is out on vacation :). Any help would be appreciated.
Sheldon Harrish Hi Sheldon, without actually seeing the truck, unfortunately there's not a lot of advice we can offer. Your best bet is to call the service department of the dealership that sold you the truck.

+Sheldon Harrish Just had these mirrors installed on my 2015 GMC Sierra 1500! Love them! They require an additional harness for each side. They are huge and very involved. The rear facing lights are illuminated when the cargo lights are on. They turn off when in drive though! Also, some are manual folding.

They do not power fold. You can get those but they are even pricier! Mine required computer programming as well, so you may need dealer to install. Good luck!
you can add these mirrors to your truck with my takeoffs zero miles with wire harnesses you need power mirror option in 6our truck to make it plug n play
If I have regular power folding mirrors on an LTZ is there any reason why the folding towing mirrors can't be directly swapped? I was told that there is a computer code that doesn't match my VIN and the swap wouldn't work.
PLEASE HELP! i have a 2015 chevy Sliverado 1500 LTZ. I am planning on getting these mirrors for it. I need know if I need to get a wiring harness so that the mirrors can have the power fold option or if i get them will they fit on the stock harness. i also need to know where to order from. The mirrors must be power folding.

I have the 2016 LTZ with these mirrors and cant seem to get the mirrors to fold with the key fob...any ideas?
+Red I believe there is a setting with the menu on the centre radio screen that you need to enable. I think under Comfort and Convenience. For my 2014 Sierra SLE All Terrain, I don't don't get that option even though I have power fold mirrors, I have to do it with the door switch. I think the SLE gets the menu option. The dealer told me there are no flash updates for me to get the keyfob option to work. Hopefully yours works.
Great technology. It works also with a remote key.its brilliant option how awesome is for me,and is butter than ford trailer mirror.

Hi Jaxon, unfortunately these mirrors are only available factory-installed on a new truck. There is no Genuine Chevrolet Accessories equivalent. There are probably some 3rd party aftermarket trailering mirrors that you could get, but they may not include all the functionalities of the factory-installed mirrors.

I just bought a 2015 Silverado 1500 with standard mirrors. Can I upgrade to the new trailer mirrors and get all the functionality out of it?
+GINA SMITH Thanks for your question! No official GM upgrade is available. There are probably some 3rd party aftermarket trailering mirrors that you could get installed, but they may not include all the functionalities of the factory-installed mirrors that come on the bigger trucks.

you can get them for 200$ on eBay. just bought a set for my 2001. A little extra wiring but still have all functionality

Why can't I find these mirrors on your website?
These mirrors are a factory-installed option on Silverados with tow packages. Unfortunately, there are no aftermarket mirrors that offer the same functionality as the factory-installed ones.

You honestly prefer your excursion over your Suburban?! Wow. Once I started driving Suburbans and Yikon XLs, I javent looked back. Nothing like them on the road and imo they are the best full sized SUV you can buy..hands down. Just my 2 cent.
