  • Fred Rouse is the only recorded African American to have been lynched in Tarrant County. His grandson and several non-profits seek healing by sharing his story.

    I understand where this story is coming from but finding this out in modern times is devastating. I would feel upset too. There were thousands that went through this cruel punishment. The sad part is it still happens in a different form today.

      No they are still lynching African American people. Here there you hear about a black person being found by hanging. And then lie and say it was by suicide. They supposedly Hung theirselves on tree.

      @@couldntcareless805 for what I remember reading there where about 30 guys “white” striking for better wages at a meat plant. The owners decided to bring in people to work while there was a strike outside. An altercation happened. He shot two guys then they pinched him.

    It’s really horrible that all these atrocities happened to the black slaves but does anyone talk about what’s happening to other ethnic peoples in this country and around the world.
