Here is another quote from Sarah Tracy that really resonated with me: - “Whenever someone is suffering or upset, embodied conversations are much better than mediated conversations. That’s because a lot of times we don’t know what to say, but even a facial expression or a hand on a shoulder, or a pat on the back, or a hug is going to show that we are with the other person that we acknowledge their suffering. If somebody is upset or angry we can show that, “oh gosh, I got it,” like “goodness I got that your angry.””

I have not been on social media for 10 yrs due to occupation. Also, I got rid of my television a year ago. My life has never been more happy and constructive educationally, biblically, coaching, and I stay in contact through phone/email etc.

Thank you for this very informative educational interview! Here is one of my favorite quotes from Sarah Tracy: - “Research shows that people use the emojis for negative emotions hardly at all compared to the positive emotions and so one of the downsides of that too is we really don’t see when other people are suffering, and we are most likely to reach out and connect to someone when we see that they are suffering. So it’s almost like the suffering becomes invisible and that fuels the disconnection between people.”
