    I just got a LS2 Challenger. Love the helmet but hate how they designed the locking mechanism on the shield. It takes both hands to open it and it's difficult with gloves on. Other than that it is a fantastic helmet.

      I'm in-between the challenger and citation 2. I like the rear active vents of the challenger and has more vents, but the ece 22.06 of the citation 2. Will there be a challenger 2?

    No Brasil esse modelo também é chamado de Vector II (FF811).

      Está correto. É bastante comum que as versões europeias dos capacetes tenham nomes diferentes.

    Hi, thank you for doing this review. The features seem great. Any chance you could demo how a sena 50s can be installed on the side as I feel that the drop down visor might obstruct its installation. All my friends in my riding group have a Sena, so installing a Cardo is not possible. Appreciate your help.

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey There - Mounting a Sena 50c on the Citation II will not be in issue. You'll be able to attach the clip mount behind the sun shade slider. If you watch our video on the 50c you'll notice we're using a HJC RPHA 70st which also has a slider in the same location. Check out our video here - th-cam.com/video/3kau63MVlwY/w-d-xo.html

    Conflicting information out there. The Vector II in the european catalogue says that it is a long oval. The US catalogue says that the Citation II is an intermediate oval. They apparently are the same helmet so which description is correct?

    • @danteMdie
      @danteMdie ปีที่แล้ว

      It's intermediate oval. The helmet does have lots of shell sizes, so i think it will be harder for online shopping. I tried an M size and it does feel bigger than usual

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The Speed Addicts Team discussed the head shape of the new Citation II with LS2. Here's what they had to say. In short they claim a shape somewhere between intermediate oval and long oval. Hope this helps!
      "We consider the Arrow helmets and the Challenger series to be long oval helmets. The Citation II is a completely new head form and is a hybrid of or our previous intermediate and long oval head forms. Riders who like the fit of the Challenger, Arrow or Citation I will notice slightly shorter front to back dimensions, but not to a point of any discomfort. Due to this fact we consider it a middle ground in our helmet line, the intermediate oval head shape.
      As always, we highly recommend trying helmets on, as not all helmets fit all people the same. The description is always a starting point, and even though it says intermediate oval it may fit a longer oval head very well. All the feedback we have had so far is that the helmet is very comfortable, and the new Morph padding is great."

    I just received my Citation ii, and from you all no less 😉I've been eyeing this one for a while. I'm just curious if it can be fitted with LS2's Cardo 4x. LS2 doesn't explicitly advertise that it's compatible, but I've seen examples of it being installed in the Vector ii, and they're both FF811. Am I missing something, or is the EPS / compartment different between the two models?

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The LS2 4X will not work with the Citation II. However, you can install any other Cardo unit on this helmet.

    can anyone speak on wind noise/ whistle? how good is it compared to the LS2 challenger?

    • @SpeedAddictsTV
      @SpeedAddictsTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it is usually is very tricky for helmets to eliminate noise from the wind, the road and your own bike. Most helmets that do so to one degree or another rely on expensive technologies and materials, while its not the quietest helmet on the market its definitely not the loudest. If you a quiet ride is your number one priority I'd suggest looking into Schuberth. thanks for watching!

      Hey JM - Here are Speed Addicts we never sold the original Citation / Vector so we can't comment on that guy. What we can tell you is the new Citation II is a brand new from ground up. In our testing we have not noticed a problem with chin strap location. This helmet has been well received in general, with a high sell through and low return percentage. • @nathantovey1774
      @nathantovey1774 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Jros, the Citation II is a long oval--per LS2's own website. For some reason when you look it up as the Citation II, the "US" website doesn't speak to the shape. However when you look it up as the Vector II on the global site (not sure why they call it a different name in different countries, but it was the same with the original Citation) it clearly calls it out as a long oval. I'm going to try to post the link.
