The embalming machine is a Port aboy for and is also used and available today as well as the chemicals use filmed. Nice and respectable job of documenting.

You were 2 brave men!! I'd never go in there. I don't think Zak Bagans would go in there either. The coal mine exploration creeped me out because my Dad was a coal miner, but this one is very creepy too!!
Just so everyone knows, the cat is not trapped inside the house. There's an open basement window and there's 3 or 4 other feral cats around the property. They come and go as they please.
Great to know. The way the Grandkids or whomever vacated when it went under foreclosure seemed to split in a really big hurry. Bet, their Grandparents weren't real thrilled when they fell behind on their payments and lost their home and business for so many many years. Probably the orbs floating around. But, then you'd think after the Grandparents owning that place for so many years, it would have been already paid off. Oh, no they (grandkids) may have gotten a loan on the place and could not pay it back and then the deceased Grandparents REALLY got angry. Orbs???? Guess, I'll never know. Just thinking out loud.
As for the embalming machine, that model is called a Port A Boy it's still in use at the funeral home I work for. The instruments were forceps, canulas and trocars. Surprised they left those in there. The slop sink looks old and outdated. That's the sink at the foot of the table. The water faucets are used with the trocar to extract fluids from the internal organs.
That bar is awesome! I've never seen one in a funeral home before. The embalming room was crazy, I can't believe they just left all the equipment there like they were still using it. Kind of creepy but cool.

The actual equipment looks 50+ years old, but the kids' toys look much more recent. The carpeting appears to be from the '50s, the cheap paneling from the '60s-'70s.

My grandparents bought an old funeral home about forty years ago. They are now passed on. Extremely freaky old house still stands today. No longer in the family.

19:48 that is a sample burial vault. Most funeral homes have them on display and it is worth around 100-200 Bucks on eBay. Their not made for cremains just for display purposes, however, you can use it for whatever u please. The actual size vault the casket goes into it.

I would of been creeped out in the basement seeing all that equipment but whoever ends up getting the property will have some nice $ in their hands as collectors will pay a pretty penny for it!! I am creeped out by this video! My body has a weir feeling about this place! I use to explore the rich manisons in our Adam's District! A lot movies stars and boxers lived in the homes and their family would just leave anything that was not of value! They would creep me out see there pictures and awards everywhere left behind! All the house has large basements (only one house spooked me) and attics! Most of them have been torn down since 60's! Beautiful well built! Crenshaw - Adams area in California I go back sometimes to see what's left! Thank you for this very intriguing video!

That "little casket" is actually a Sales display for the Wilburt Vault Co. The display was in our casket display room so family could see it and hear about its features. The purpose was to contain a casket and afford it extra protection. ( grew up in the Funeral business)
I have to say the surprise appearance of the Kitty Cat threw me for a loop too!! JPVideos the only thing missing was having a conversation with the local realtor to find out if the place is for sale and get a little more info on the previous owners! Thanks very much!
The trocars look like there from the 70s I enjoy your videos while I'm at work here at the funeral home haha I showed my boss he said you have no idea how many times this happens to family run funeral homes. All those vintage things are unbelievable. That ceramic Christmas tree is worth a fortune. I saw a small one at Christmas time selling for $60.00. The clothes and furniture, wow! Thanks for sharing! Again an awesome video.

Yes, I was going to point that out in my comment (which I didn't make yet) ....head rests...just think, we will all have our heads on one of those one day, except if cremated, but not sure....
@19:39 that is actually a sample vault, a scaled down version of what the casket goes into so that the ground doesn't settle, thats why old graves usually dip in the center is because of the coffin or casket breaking down and collapsing.
Yep, didn't think that funeral homes had "samples" but I thought it was an urn....but I think you are right, maybe to show the families who don't understand what a "vault" is....there is all diff. kinds of vaults, too...PS my reply starts with the word "yep"..there are a few words prior to that about filming, etc. I can't delete them either!! Creeping me out!!
@@gailsharkness9909 I collect items related to the funeral industry, these are usually in the same area where the caskets are displayed. When I set up my dads funeral last year they had about 6 different sample vaults lined up on a shelf between various urns and casket quarters.
This all looks very 1960's as far as the paneling and decor. Very cool to see a mortuary that was also a family home. In the past, most of them were probably like that. I knew a few students in grad school ( late 70's) with me who lived in the apartments located in mortuaries. . They got a deal because they answered the phones in the evenings, etc.

I live in a old funeral home it still has the embleming room in the basement with all the embleming equipment but every night I here foot steps people talking and the door that goes down to the basement/embleming room will be wide open every morning nothing has harmed me just foot steps talking and stuff being moved around in the embleming room
Wow, awesome video! I don’t think I I could go in an abandoned funeral home, much too creepy for me. The embalming room was really creepy . I loved the ceramic Christmas tree and the stained glass windows. What I can’t understand is why would people simply leave all their belongings behind? Clothes, toys, personal items, it makes no sense! Do you have any idea of why they left everything? It just seems strange as though they just walked out, taking nothing with them. The antique pie tables I absolutely would love to have! It’s things like that that makes me wonder how they could just leave that stuff behind. And not to mention their parents and grandparents belongings, why didn’t mean anything to them? Just plain weird and creepy. Poor cat, I wonder if he could find his way out? Thank you for this spooky find, I did enjoy seeing everything there even though it was sad to think that nothing meant anything to them. Just plain sad!

I think whoever lived there left because they were scared out of their minds. At the beginning orbs floating in the morgue. Then some more in that second room. That place definitely had spirits. I got creeped out, my body felt odd, not right, just watching this video. Never happened to me before. Weird feeling. :/
Saw quite a few what looked like orbs. First just one then several in the morgue at 5:57. Love the old surgical tools. Obviously, no reason to sterilize them. A few more orbs a bit afterwards. Heck, I got a very creepy vibe just watching that video. I pray somehow that poor kitty escapes. I already saw one video where a cat became so imancipated when it was left behind it laid on it's owners bed and passed away. Leaving nothing but it's corpse on the bed. Probably waiting for the owner to return. It broke my heart. What an absolutely sad and very, very creepy video. It's not often orbs are seen. Your video had quite a few floating around. This place is filled with emotional intelligence . and mold everywhere . The antiques awesome you don't see the old ten drawer dresser anymore. The morge now that is a trip everything is still available for service. It's like Grama died so let's go back to our other lives in a nother State. Shame everything is left behind to Rot.
“$hitt¥ way to wrap up! Hahahaha! Ok so before the cat I initially thought someone was in that bed. My heart jumped and then the cat took off and I damn near died! And whoever theived the place place has to be younger or they would have known to gather up all those Hess trucks! Smh. Kids know nothing. The only thing that really really creeped me out was the fact that if you lived in a funeral home as your personal residence where you actually prepared the bodies you would have smelled embalming fluid throughout your home regardless of how well sealed the prep room was. That stuff gets into your clothes your skin and it hangs around. Anytime I did training in the cadaver lab, I smelled it on myself the rest of the day. I would not have enjoyed being part of that family living there. Regardless, so so super cool to find!!
Just curious if you were a mortician?? I'm in the medical field, saw an autopsy at a VA Hospital when I was in training. There are many videos of embalming, preparing the dead, & cremation on TH-cam. It's sick, but there are. I've watched them, too.

Years ago there was an annual state conference that partnered with a local hospital to put various labs on for hands-on clinicals. I always went to the cadavers. It’s where I learned just how warped path all a just really are. When one of them pulled a heart out of your chest and he hail Mary’ef it to me, and I caught it inthe chest, looked at this doc and said ,yo dude! And he said back to me, hey have a heart. 🤦🏻♀️

If this were close to where I live, I'd think about finding a way to buy that property. I love all those antiques, as well as the antique funeral home equipment. I have to wonder how they were able to get large pieces of furniture up to the second floor with the stairwells being so narrow.
My mom had that exact ceramic Christmas tree but gave it away later in her life. It was beautiful when lit up. I wish she would have given it to me.....

That cat needs to be anonymously reported & trapped & taken to a loving shelter, not euthanized...Animals are usually afraid of spirits if the place is haunted. That's 100% proven.

Both for holding neck & also blocks or stirrups are also used for holding arms in place on prep table.

Carrie Boyer it’s not. It was a sample of what a large vault (grave liner) would look like. It wasn’t meant to hold cremated remains or a baby.
I have seen quite a few of your videos now. This is the creepiest so far. Clearly there was something here that you made you really uneasy and very keen to finish your film and get out. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to buy this place and live in it: But you say that this is what happened.

Caught a few orbs in the embalming room. I couldn't figure out why it was so creepy watching this video until you mentioned how quiet it was. That for me was a big part of it!! It was very quiet!!

Those "stirrups"? They're actually head rests, for the dearly departed, to make embalming easier
Yes, I was going to point that out in my comment (which I didn't make yet) ....head rests...just think, we will all have our heads on one of those one day, except if cremated, but not sure....
There was already a head rest on the embalming table. These looked much smaller like for ankles.

@19:39 that is actually a sample vault, a scaled down version of what the casket goes into so that the ground doesn't settle, thats why old graves usually dip in the center is because of the coffin or casket breaking down and collapsing.
Yep, didn't think that funeral homes had "samples" but I thought it was an urn....but I think you are right, maybe to show the families who don't understand what a "vault" is....there is all diff. kinds of vaults, too...PS my reply starts with the word "yep"..there are a few words prior to that about filming, etc. I can't delete them either!! Creeping me out!!
@@gailsharkness9909 I collect items related to the funeral industry, these are usually in the same area where the caskets are displayed. When I set up my dads funeral last year they had about 6 different sample vaults lined up on a shelf between various urns and casket quarters.
This all looks very 1960's as far as the paneling and decor. Very cool to see a mortuary that was also a family home. In the past, most of them were probably like that. I knew a few students in grad school ( late 70's) with me who lived in the apartments located in mortuaries.
. They got a deal because they answered the phones in the evenings, etc.

I live in a old funeral home it still has the embleming room in the basement with all the embleming equipment but every night I here foot steps people talking and the door that goes down to the basement/embleming room will be wide open every morning nothing has harmed me just foot steps talking and stuff being moved around in the embleming room

Wow, awesome video! I don’t think I I could go in an abandoned funeral home, much too creepy for me. The embalming room was really creepy . I loved the ceramic Christmas tree and the stained glass windows. What I can’t understand is why would people simply leave all their belongings behind? Clothes, toys, personal items, it makes no sense! Do you have any idea of why they left everything? It just seems strange as though they just walked out, taking nothing with them. The antique pie tables I absolutely would love to have! It’s things like that that makes me wonder how they could just leave that stuff behind. And not to mention their parents and grandparents belongings, why didn’t mean anything to them? Just plain weird and creepy. Poor cat, I wonder if he could find his way out? Thank you for this spooky find, I did enjoy seeing everything there even though it was sad to think that nothing meant anything to them. Just plain sad!

I think whoever lived there left because they were scared out of their minds. At the beginning orbs floating in the morgue. Then some more in that second room. That place definitely had spirits. I got creeped out, my body felt odd, not right, just watching this video. Never happened to me before. Weird feeling. :/

Saw quite a few what looked like orbs. First just one then several in the morgue at 5:57. Love the old surgical tools. Obviously, no reason to sterilize them. A few more orbs a bit afterwards. Heck, I got a very creepy vibe just watching that video. I pray somehow that poor kitty escapes. I already saw one video where a cat became so imancipated when it was left behind it laid on it's owners bed and passed away. Leaving nothing but it's corpse on the bed. Probably waiting for the owner to return. It broke my heart. What an absolutely sad and very, very creepy video. It's not often orbs are seen. Your video had quite a few floating around. And whoever theived the place place has to be younger or they would have known to gather up all those Hess trucks! Smh. Kids know nothing. The only thing that really really creeped me out was the fact that if you lived in a funeral home as your personal residence where you actually prepared the bodies you would have smelled embalming fluid throughout your home regardless of how well sealed the prep room was. That stuff gets into your clothes your skin and it hangs around. Anytime I did training in the cadaver lab, I smelled it on myself the rest of the day. I would not have enjoyed being part of that family living there. Regardless, so so super cool to find!!
Just curious if you were a mortician?? I'm in the medical field, saw an autopsy at a VA Hospital when I was in training. There are many videos of embalming, preparing the dead, & cremation on TH-cam. It's sick, but there are. I've watched them, too.

Years ago there was an annual state conference that partnered with a local hospital to put various labs on for hands-on clinicals. I always went to the cadavers. It’s where I learned just how warped path all a just really are. When one of them pulled a heart out of your chest and he hail Mary’ef it to me, and I caught it inthe chest, looked at this doc and said ,yo dude! And he said back to me, hey have a heart. 🤦🏻♀️

That cat needs to be anonymously reported & trapped & taken to a loving shelter, not euthanized...Animals are usually afraid of spirits if the place is haunted. That's 100% proven.
