I like to play real candlepin and duckpin bowling in my house, and im not gonna lie its a back breaking hobby/job but its actually a lot of fun. I have to move fast like a real pinboy. This looks a lot of fun

if you guys built that, it seems to work amazingly very jealous
I know im way late and all; but looking over your design, if you use wire cord to attach to the top of the pins (each one), and feed that through a hole into a clamping system, each time the pins are dropped, you just lower the bar, and pull on the wire cord, to pickup and line up the pins, then just release the cords where the pins wernt dropped... to do the 2nd shot.
Well. The thing is then the pins would have “limitations”. Without the strings the pin action is as realistic as possible. With the stings then some pins wouldn’t be able to roll as far or fly as far. I don’t know. That’s my guess. But thanks for the comment!

You can pick up the pins that are on the deck by pushing the plate for and then pull in the back when it grabs the pins and then sweep the ded wood and set them back down and push the plate forward hope this helps

Be cool tp set up a "moustrap" catch for the sweep to come down after the ball hits the backstop and release the lock...its so awesome the way it is too though.
Im building one of these for my bassement. It will have a string pinsetter because I dont want to have to go to the back each time I throw a ball.
How did it turn out? Good I hope. Watching these videos make me so sad that I don't have one of these
What if the strings tangle
Same, I plan on doing a full size backyard lane. Problem is getting plywood and not have to sell a kidney. The lane the father/son from Oklahoma built is amazing, and their pinsetter and ball return seems to work well.

You should try to make a ball/pin seperator so the ball dosent hit your hand because i saw the ball almost hit your hand
Ok let me make some laugh out of this pinsetter. The ufo is pinsetter and the sweeper is, I won’t tell and the ball is one of those balls u can go into. UFO:comes down to the earth but then forgets something so the alien brings the ufo back to his planet. Sweeper: GOTTA SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP.ball: weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Dude, your so quick your look like the real A-2 pinsetter good thing your dad build it rather build the AMF pinsetter or Brunswick GS pinsetter cause the setting table is complicated so as the sweep on AMF

There’s a tray underneath the pins that has holes in it. Those holes line up with the tubes that hold the pins. He pulls the tray out slightly (you can see this) so the holes aren’t lined up with the tubes which holds the pins up and then when he wants to drop the pins he pushes the tray back in realigning the holes and the tubes to drop the pin

You can just do this push the sweep the lower the setting table then pick up the pins buy pulling the tray the sweep any remaining pins then lower the setting table again push te tray and thats it

Here is a skill first wait for the ball to roll then put the sweep down pick up the pins sweep put down the pins then load the pins in the pin setter really fast

Hey you need a new bowling rake to make it bigger to sweep the pins into the gutter
We eventually fixed that. But I don’t use the sweep anymore.
