This type of issue happens with pretty much all cubes that are "cheap" sooner or later. I never bought the guhan but it happened with my MF3RS3M( The older 2019 Version) and Yuxin Little Magic. A similar issue happened with the Meilong where it is just extremely flimsy and tensioning it doesn't do anything. In the MF3RS3M, the cylindrical part broke in ALL 6 Sides
Well, maybe today, but not so many years ago we were all rocking 10 buck ZanChis and nothing happened. Mine is going strong today.

This exact same issue happened to me TWICE! My first one broke after 10 days, so I sent it back for a replacement, just for the new one to also break after two weeks. I hope Dayan can fix the issue, because it's the first cube I've really felt suits me.
I'm going to make a video explaining how to prevent the center pieces from breaking. This can also happen on the Gan RS, I know from personal experience.

The GAN XS has this problem with the magnets snapping off. It happened to me twice and I needed to buy replacement pieces. I hope the cube doesn't break again! :) Great video!

The Centre Piece Is Breaking Because of:
You Know This Cube Is Very Light And The Light And Thin Plastic Makes It Light So Over Time This Thin Plastic Wears Out And It Just Breaks So You Can Buy QiYi Ms, Rs3m, Or YuXin Little Magic Magnetic

I measured the thickness of the base of the centerpiece (bottom of the spring), and its only 0.4mm, so I 3d printed a 0.4mm thickness PLA ring that fits on that bottom area, superglued it to all 6 centers.. not the thickness of that particular area is 0.8mm, assembled everything back. I just did it last week, lets see how it lasts.

I have a old rs3 and I can't forget how frustrated I am back then because the feel really changed dramatically and I couldn't get any normal times with it. I say every budget cubes have a very major drawback either after months or a year of constant use, which I'm sure I haven't experienced yet in my current main that is a flagship even after years of use
Actually, my GTS2 M suffered a similar problem. That was the end of my GTS2 being my main from what I can say...

the red side of every cube has some problem.
my rs3m has a popping problem on the red side, and my friends who are very experienced with cube hardware have no idea why.
I wonder what Brody thinks about the RS3 M 2020 3x3 speed cube, don't know if he will make a video on that or not.
Even the orange side on my RS3M has that problem. :( I lubed it & it got better so I still use it.

I'm extremely curious if you could fix this problem in advance by building up the area around that center cap post with super glue or some other resin. basically reinforcing the plastic
that might work, but it would have to be a proactive solution, right? I doubt that would work to fix the center pieces that I've already broken.
@@BrodytheCuber oh definitely. it's more of an idea of caution for someone who gets it new. or, the real solution is for them to strengthen that component for the v5 lmao

Does the Guhong v4 come with washers inside centers? If not, adding 6 washers to your cube should fix this issue permanently.
So you're saying it's just the spring grinding through the plastic?
@@higgledypiggledycubledy8899 that could be it. I had to replace some washers on my old zhanchi cube bc they were worn out. Plastic is more prone to this so it's likely

This exact thing happened to me about a week ago. I tried fixing it with a glue and it worked for about a day and then the core broke completly and it is not possible to repair. But I love the cube and it is not very expensive, so I will probably buy it again
Edit: Oh, so I saw the video and now I'm not so sure if I will buy it again. I mean it is VERY good, but I don't know if I want to...
Why bother buying something when you know there is a possibility that it would break?
Just buy the RS3 M 2020 (3x3) instead.
@@shaunzhang733 I mean that is a fair point, but the thing this cube is really good, even better that The Valk Elite M or the GAN X (which I both have) I would say. So it doesn't make sence for me to buy RS3 M 2020.
I really like your feelings about this, but have you tried putting washers at the end of the spring preventing the spring break through?

if it's the screw loostening on its own, SCR has a tutorial on how to fix, search how to fix screws losing on their own.
Ty for considering this I was going to get this cube as a begginer since I like glide feeling cube but if I break my cube or it breaks, I can't replace it. since u point this out I'm grateful and I'm gonna consider buying a different cube.

I haven’t really understood exactly wich part of the center pice had problems but maybe you can be prevent this from happening by doing some kind of mod to the pice or you can put washers in that place.

My Dayan Tengyun V2 had four out of six of its adjustment mechanisms break, and now it's loose just like yours. Replacement parts on the way... :/ Shame because it's my favorite cube.

I have a dayan guhong v4 that is broken like the thumbnail.
I fixed the center by replacing it with the GAN 356 RS center.
There is some relatiom with how you use it. Brody broke it in a month but Brian sun (s slice god) broke it in a week. I too have the guhong v4 for 2 weeks now, no problems YET, but I can't use it without thinking about it breaking. So even though I like this cube, I barely use it : /

I had the exact same problem. 5/6 centers have broken for me as well.
1 year edit: Just ordered a new guhong v4 after mine sat broken in its box for the better part of 8 months or so. They''ve added washers underneath the springs of the puzzle to try and help with the breaking issue I think. I will come back and update this comment if it breaks again.

@@zaydqazi364 No, that happened to the RS3 not RS3M 2020. The RS3M 2020 has a different problem which I'm surprised nobody has addressed before but I already fixed it.

@@zaydqazi364 The screws loosen themselves when turning the layers. If you've never disassembled the core it might not happen.
Yes, rs3m has a problem of stripped cores in a lot of them
I actually thought my rs3m got this but i found out that i got a big lock up and it just made the tensions extremely loose
The way ifixed my guhong v4 is i just replaced all 4 core pieces with a cheap 5 dollar cube that is the same size, so the pieces fit perfectly.before, i was breaking the center piece atleast once a week sfter 2 months i figured it oit and has not broken in months, def should try. Atleast to fix the guhong, but make sure you use the same spring and tensionong nail thing, or else it wont feel like the guhong anymore lol

Something similar happened to me with my RS3M 2020. The orange face on my cube kept loosening after a while. I kept tightening it back to stock tension as best as I could, but later exploded completely one day, even the screw came off with the center piece despite it being on sorta tight tensions. Turned out the blue and orange faces were stripped on the core somehow. I didn't even know TheCubicle had a replacement policy. But even then, had I known, I doubt I would have kept using the cube after being replaced. It kinda left me with a bad taste in my mouth and don't use my RS3M 2020 now despite replacing the core. I really tried to move past it but kept holding back with the cube in fear it was gonna explode again. I left a review in TheCubicle before it exploded on me completely, and I saw like 2 other reviews from 100 at the time at TheCubicle expressing similar problems, but none recently.

I was hoping only the Guhong V4 had this issue but it turns out even my V3’s red screw post broke. This problem is Dayan products in general it seems.
I'm curious, what if you used the center piece of a similar cube? out of the many many 3x3s out there, there must be at least one that works as an okay replacement (and it wouldn't break).

Just buy an RS3m. It's only $9 and it's amazing. Been solving on it for months and it's still great. Never lubed it or anything, though I did add the stronger magnets from speedcubeshop
