I understand what you were going for, but there were quite a lot of things Turbo could have done to both still be a famous figure. Including becoming an internet legend. Given what Turbo had done to the other racing game, he could just have hung around. Always zooming just out of reach, hopping game to game, and going “Turbo-tastic!”. There is no doubt that one day, he could have a remake of his game purely because of someone’s memories about some weird character that always appeared in all the arcade games they played where this weird dude in a racing kart would appear and say “Turbo-tastic!”.
But i wonder so many things during the movie, how did Turbo disguise himself as King candy? Did he ever learned programming an coding? How did he even get that design? Was king candy an actual character that was scrapped but the creators of the game kept his code within the game so Turbo was able to become him?

It would give us a clue about how he's turbo, and the possibility that in the 80's he visited Tappers bar game to drink after winning and enjoying his life... or maybe he drank to douse the guilt of unplugging his rival game and himself... Or maybe he thinks too much about the secrets he is keeping, so he drinks and has all these spare napkins. What do you think, Max?
Turbotime was released in 1987 but turbo didn’t become homeless until the game become Outdated.. so he couldn’t have been homeless for 10 years unless the game was outdated the same year it came out.. if that makes sense
My mate used the Konami code at that one point. It's in pretty much all Konami games since the 80s. It would allow the player to use all kinds of goofy goober cheats.
I think your point about the programmers making Turbo that way is completely incorrect. By that logic the movie doesn't happen because Ralph's entire thing would be "Unga bunga! Break building!" and that would be that. As the famous scene notes, he is a bad guy, but not a BAD guy. Turbo was in a racing game. The objective is to come in first, but that doesn't always happen. Not every kid who plays is going to win, especially in an arcade. As such, Turbo should know how to handle taking 2nd, or 3rd, or last. But he couldn't handle that, and tried to steal or sabotage is competition. I don't think it was out of desperation. I think he was the hero of his game, the good guy. But he wasn't a GOOD guy.
Turbo got his AND the new racing game unplugged because kids in the arcade played other games. He then proceeded to repeat the exact same mistake with sugar rush. He removed every citizens memory against their will. He had a choice and he decided to double down. There were literally interventions for people like him shown at the beginning of the movie. He had options and he didn’t pick them. He deserved to be eaten by a bug and then cooked in soda. Sure you could argue that his programming made him desire to be the best, but Calhoun’s programming made her dismiss the idea of love because of her tragic backstory. If she can change for the better then there’s no excuse for Turbo.
Your argument of him being ‘coded that way’ loses ground when you bring up Ralph. You point out that Ralph was coded to be bad but he CHOOSES to be better. There’s even a support group. Turbo had decades to be better and live as a side character or optional non-main character driver. Turbo isn’t a sympathetic character since he’s so self serving and will do anything to keep his status as ‘the best racer’. He didn’t kill Ralph that one time out of any kindness, it was because it would’ve been far too suspicious if he did.
I think it’s the other way around. If turbo would’ve never taken over Roadblasters he would’ve lived for a few more years. Also, turbo was already twisted from the start. This is shown when Turbo pushes aside the turbo-twins to show off his trophy.
The problem "hes just coded to be that way" is that character personalities in the Wreck It Ralph universe dont necassairly line up with their games. Bad Anon is full of game villains, yet not a single one does anything like what Turbo did.
If I were the one who made that Sugar Rush game and saw the "King Candy" character, it would have been the biggest head-tilt, cock-eyed, double-taking WTF ever.

"weird code"? "Taper's Napkin?" Sir... that weird code is the Konami Code and that napkin was from a game called 'Tapper'
Fun fact:the code king Kandy entered was the kunami code
It’s sorta funny that the code King Candy put in the controller is the Unami code
The music I was just listening to matches this video a little(I beg everyone to not ask what it was)
I thought it was kick buttowski
My own Theory is that turbo actually actually murdered King Candy original and impersonating him
Your argument of him being ‘coded that way’ loses ground when you bring up Ralph. He didn’t kill Ralph that one time out of any kindness, it was because it would’ve been far too suspicious if he did.
this dude is the personification of devil's advocate
The weird code is actually a cheat code that was often seen in early video games.
"Finds a nintendo controller and puts in a code" *The konami code*
Boy turbo crazy as hell
I’ve been waiting for someone to make a theory about this
"i'M tUrBo, tHe gReAteSt rAcEr eVEr"
Turbotastic!
Turbo is a definition of a virus princess Penelope is the definition of a glitch
