Pain is a great reflection to what has happened in our own world with nuclear war. he in a way describes what happened perfectly... and what we can expect to happen again. once the world only knows what happened through history books it will repeat the same mistake, and so the cycle goes on.

This speech is so awesome, but the context it's delivered in is sort of unfortunate. Pain here isn't even talking just as a villain. He's more like a philosopher almost, a warrior who's walked a different path. The goal of his speech, the progression of it, is him simply asking Naruto "What would you do about x? What makes this thing bad? Why is this thing okay but this thing isn't okay? What gives?" He's asking Naruto very basic and fundamental questions about the broader world around him, the shinobi world. And Naruto, the main character, simply has no answer. Being a Kage has been his dream for YEARS, as long as he can remember, yet he'd never stopped to ask himself why he wanted it, or even what responsibility that would entail. Never not once had he thought of the overtly political world he'd be in, or about the weight he would be bearing. It's almost like it was the first time he'd ever even heard of The Hidden Rain, like he didn't know at all until Pain mentioned it, and he was completely and wholly ignorant of basic elements of shinobi history. It would've been so powerful if Naruto had an answer, even a grasping at straws answer, but he just doesn't! And it's a shame because Naruto in Part 1 questioned lots of elements about the legitimacy of the shinobi system (damn wasn't his speech to Zabuza awesome?). But the moment he's facing another ninja who has questions of his own, facing another grown man who's got convictions and dreams of his own, he almost can't even muster an answer, any answer. I wish it was really more of a dialog, not just Pain having what is almost a one sided discussion.
sorry to say this since I have been watching your reaction for a long time now, however I feel like u are just forcing through the episodes now without a care. through the whole arc you have not really given a fair reaction to possibly the best arc in the show, but just fast paced through the show, like it dose not matter anymore, which is fair from your point of view. However from my own stand point, I like to watch reaction for the plot twist and action in the show, which I feel like you do not react to anymore, but you only watch the show because you are supposed too, but not enjoying it anymore...
