I agree 100% Grew up with an Oliver and a White plow. Borrowing the neighbors JD plow because I haven’t bought another White yet!

1970 my boss's father started with a jd model 620 row crop an 830 a 7520 and a 6030 and a 2640 I'm 34 years old and I knew them all this video took me into 70 thank you big tractor this video is great thanks big tractor

I am the 3rd head of a cereal farm of 1200 or 1300 hectares in Alsace in France and that was the equipment with which my boss's father started and unfortunately we have separate meaning except the only survivor was our 2640 and the others we end up in the scrapyard and I have a farmer friend who recovered them and repaired hearing his old tractor roar it's a great moment of pleasure I love it and once again thank you Tom

I thank you very much Tom for your comment and your support towards the difficult jobs that we have because even as cereal farmers (I am the 3rd boss) our job is not just sitting in a tractor there are a lot of other things we do
when I hear the sound of its old engines roaring it takes me back to my childhood it was a real sound
this year I am going to Canada for silage with my boss to help a friend I will drive a jd 7810 us and new holland fp 240 2 row forage harvester and this friend will be at the wheel of the jd 8245r and new holland fp 240 3 row forage harvester and my friend will childhood with whom I work on his cereal farm he will be responsible for emptying the wagons with the father of this family in Canada on the blowers to bring the silage back to the silo

I grew up doing the plowing on our farm..we’ve got a lot more clay in our NW Ohio ground than you do..only our sandy knobs turned over as nice as yours…I would come home every day from school, take 2 five gallon cans of diesel to the field, dump them into our 190XT and plow till dark…can’t do that anymore…😉…it’s a miracle that I have hearing yet…that XT had the factory straight pipe…Allis must have figured the turbo was enough muffler…I would hear that running when I went to bed! BTW, I probably helped build that KB grain cart…I weld at the Unververth/KBC plant in Delphos Ohio!
@@Earnhogg Thay is so cool. My Dad plowed with a JD 4010 and 4 bottom Oliver hydraulic reset plow. I rode on the fender for hours. I worked with a friend for years, started with 2 5/bottom IH plows, moved up to 2 9 bottom IH plows, then a 10. Probably plowed over 2,000 acres each year, now maybe he plows 100 of sod and strip tills the rest like we do. Thanks for watching
Funny how our major form of tillage when we were growing up is now a novelty that you only see in videos like yours and plowing demonstrations…I went to a couple of those in our area last summer…some friends of mine had their antique tractors out turning dirt…used to seem like plowing took forever when it was your job with only one tractor but you get a dozen or so plowing in the same field it doesn’t take very long!

Nice job! Rarely see anyone moldboard plow here in the Red River Valley these days. Even the small farms are several thousand acres.
We are medium size I would say. Sure was fun to play with the tractors and plows.
