Zoe Bell is such a badass…and fun to hang with actually. I met her at an after-party for the Taurus Stunt Awards back in 2010 at Paramount Studios. I’m an Aussie and she’s a Kiwi so we drank up that night, fun times.
I love this movie, as well as its Grindhouse counterpart “Planet Terror”! I really hope you also react to that as well!! They were released at the same time & are *slightly* connected, with Death Proof happening first. “Planet Terror” has a STACKED cast, which also includes Bruce Willis. They weren’t the most popular movies when released but I really REALLY enjoy them both lol
I got to go to a midnight release showing of Grindhouse back-to-back during a visit to El Paso TX - really felt like I was in the right place at the right time
Saw this as a double feature with planet terror. Really great theater experience. With planet terror everyone really got into it and the fake ads were awesome
I think chronologically Death Proof takes place first but I remember when my dad and I went to see this in the theater, Planet Terror was the first in the double feature
I just love this movie so much, this and Planet Terror (which you NEED to watch ASAP because it's connected to this one). Apparently Tarantino wrote the lead role on the second half specifically FOR Zoe Bell after being stunned by her stunt work in Kill Bill. He told her he'd call in a stuntwoman to do her stunts for her but she insisted on doing them herself. And AFAIK all the stunts were actual stunts, no CGI or other camera-trickery.
Yea Zöe really did all that out on the hood at speed. I remember when this came out it was a double feature, planet terror first then death proof right after…Saw it opening night.
Vanishing Point is amazing. I did a doc about it. Its not so much "Action" as it is a think piece. It carries a very deep meaning about it where its just one man wanting to get to one place as fast as he can and nobody is gonna stop him till he finds peace.
I remember a lot of (mostly guys) complaining about how Stuntman Mike died. Thing is, it's the most realistic part of the movie - real world serial killers and psychopaths are generally not very good at taking the kind of pain they inflict on others - they're often narcissists, and can't accept that _they're_ the ones being hurt.
I remember catching the last part of the movie once my first time I loved every second of it especially the part when the three beat the hell out of Kurt Russell every punch felt real and absolutely brutal
@@scarv7664 it makes sense, we don´t really see how he acted after the first time he kills the other girls, we just see how they die and have no reaction shot from him, because for that moment, the movie is from his point of view. On the other half, the other girls don´t die and get to fight back, so the movie is from their point of view, where this guy aint no cold killer, but a dumbass that thinks he can do whatever and face no consequences, so we can se him getting hurt and reacting as a normal person to the injuries inflicted on him, we as the audience wanna see him dead, because this seond part is aobut sweet revenge.
This is truly one of my favorite Tarantino films. Definitely underrated and I really hope more people get to discover it and see what a gem of a film it is. From an awesome soundtrack, to the horror, to Kurt Russell’s hilarious and menacing performance, an excellent and engaging cast, an absolute insane car chase scene and Zoe Bell’s fearless stunt work that to this day is the best I’ve ever seen. And that final scene is fucking empowering.
I laughed tears watching Samantha's face! Disbelief, disgust, horror, fascination, excitement! Thank you, this was an awesome, hilarious reaction 😂 Great little movie.
I used to live down the street from a drive-in when I was a kid and could see movies from my roof. This movie captures the drive-in feel so well...I've never understood why it's considered unpopular. It's one of my favs
I kinda forgot that the two movies got their own separate releases for DVD and in my mind I still had them attached to each other as two parts of one movie called Grindhouse. Had me questioning the part in their intro where they say that their trip through Tarantino's movies will be focusing on things that were 100% his and skipping over projects with partial involvement such as Four Rooms. In my mind Grindhouse fits more into that second category.
Zoe Bell was the stunt double for Uma Thurman in the "Kill Bill" films, and did stunt work for Tarantino in other ones as well. This was the first film (I believe) where she actually got to play a full role (as herself, basically) along with doing those dramatic car hood stunts. That last 30 minutes was really worth the price of admission, and was a throwback to some great '70s car-chase films like "Vanishing Point."
honestly, one of the most anxious, edge of your seat movies out there. i remember seeing this in the theater, heart racing, nails digging into my palms. absolute fantastic movie!
Thanks for reacting to this, there’s not many reactions to this movie and it’s probably my favorite of Tarantino’s movies. Zoe Bell was awesome in this, I knew of her from her days as Xena Warrior Princess stunt double and then Uma Therman’s stunt double in Kill Bill. I just saw The Baytown Outlaws which she is in also. A fun action loaded movie to check out for sure👍🏽
Same. Watching this in my university years surrounded by people of similar age and taste, laughing and cheering at both movies and the bonkers trailers. Not much compares. Maybe Infinity War and Endgame. And recently Everything, Everywhere All At Once had the audience howling and in the palm of it's hand.
same! I had just started working at a theater about a month before it came out so I got to see it several times in theaters for free, so much damn fun.
@@aBoyHasNoName87 the differences between the theatrical cut and the stand-alone version is the lap dance scene is only a few seconds long in the theatrical cut, and the entire scene at the gas station with the second set of girls is gone. it cuts from the hospital to them in the car talking about who they’re dating. there are a couple of lines that are different or missing but those are the two major changes.
This is one of those reactions where I'm rubbing my hands together with glee waiting for it to take a turn or two you aren't expecting, and it did not disappoint, thanks guys. XD
I hadn’t seen this in soooo long and I was rolling laughing when they chased him down and he said “I’m sorry!!!” Lmao my little brother and I seen this forever ago and that part and them getting their revenge still makes us roll laughing. They Are BadAss for getting him back lol
This movie is brilliant. It’s part of a two part feature called: Grindhouse. Old 70’s exploitation films hence the grainy footage, random edit’s and scratches on the print. It’s so freaking intense how it starts off as a mundane girls day to one of the most insanely shot action flicks. The car sequences are intense and excellent.
Definitely add "Vanishing Point" and "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry" to the list. ""Gone in 60 Seconds" the original is also very good. These movies are favorites of mine and Tarantino loves them as well, obviously. The Charger Kurt Russell is driving in the second part is the same model from Dirty-Crazy and the Challenger the girls take out is exactly the same as the Vanishing Point car. Also, the Yellow Mustang is the same as the original Eleanor from 60 Seconds. Thanks Guys.
I'm probably in the minority, but I actually enjoyed the non action dialogue scenes as much as the actions scenes. I thought the conversations were fun and interesting and felt like genuine conversations these characters would have. Quentin is one of the only directors/writers who knows how to write interesting and realistic dialogue to whatever setting or story he's telling. I never once felt bored listening to the conversations between the characters. I know some people don't like the movie because they feel like it was too much talking and not enough action, but I loved it. This one of my favorite movies.
the vibes felt kinda off for the first group but once we got into the second group i loved every second of their interactions. i know the movie works because of this weird structure it has but i almost wish we only had the first group for the entire movie just so we could have seen more of them (also we never saw what happened to lee :/ )
Zoe was so great in this. The stunt work is out of this world. But I love the whole flick, such a low key kickass premise, perfectly executed, great film.
This is my favorite Tarantino film, but I think it suffers greatly from being separated from Planet Terror; that film is so fast-paced and wacky and fun and bombastic that the VERY slow burn of THIS film is a massive change in pacing and tone, that allows it to build to such a wonderful crescendo - seeing it in theaters as a double feature, most of the audience stood up and cheered at the end, I don’t think you can get that kind of catharsis without watching them back-to-back. I wrote this comment before watching the video; excited to see what you think!
Not just one of my favorite Tarantino films, but actually one of my favorite films of all time. This film is very underrated. Hell even Tarantino said it’s one of his least favorites. Don’t matter, I still love this film.
A lesser known Kurt Russell movie is "Breakdown", came out in 1997, great action mystery. If you really want to see Kurt in his younger days "Now you see him now you don't", Dexter Riley series. Cheesy Disney, but fun to watch.
GRINDHOUSE as a whole experience is the film that made me decide to pursue filmmaking. 3 times in theaters. Definitely check out the full cut or at least planet terror and the fake trailers
Back when Death Proof came out in 2007 it was apart of a double feature called Grindhouse, the other film is Planet Terror. This was my introduction to Kurt Russell, this movie got me to go back and watch his classic other work. Great reaction guys 👍♥️
Death Proof was the second half of Grindhouse, following Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror. The rubber duck as the hood ornament on the Chevy Nova that Stuntman Mike crashes head-on into the girls is a tribute to the 1977 movie Convoy where the main character Kris Kristofferson is a trucker who's handle is "Rubber Duck" because he's got the same hood ornament on the hood of his semi truck.
Tarantino stands alone in that he hasn’t made a bad movie. There is no bad Tarantino film. The only thing you can do is compare his films to his other films. There’s no other director with such a spotless record.
This movie is an absolute thrill! Definitely an underrated Kurt Russell performance. It took me 3 or 4 watches before I was able to really appreciate this movie even through it's not perfect, It's still really rad. Great reaction! 💯
This movie is a masterclass in suspense, at least in the form of tension. The first time I saw this, what struck me was how scared I was for the fate of the second group of girls after the first. The change up at the end from basically horror to comedy was such a relief of tension that I was left giddy. I will never forget that. I've never experienced that in another movie.
I don't know if you realised that the guy in the red shirt in the first bar scene was director Eli Roth? I hope you check out some of his movies in future, Hostel especially!
@@LarryFleetwood8675 I actually love Hostel part 2. Part 3 was a bit sillier, but I still had fun with it. And yes, Samantha would definitely have her hands over her eyes lol
I loooooove this movie. The old school 70s vibe, the masterclass that is the dialogue, the sloooow burn, the plot turn when the girls take control. I understand if Tarantino thinks of it as his weakest film but in a way it's supposed to be as it's supposed to be aping the Roger Corman kind of make-a-movie-as-fast-and-cheap-as-you-can style of filmmaking but he still didn't slouch on any important aspect of it really. A blast of a drive-in B movie.
This is one of my favorite Tarantino movies. It is just so crazy and cathartic. Although I do prefer the version from Grindhouse, as it is a bit shorter and moves more briskly towards the third act.
Growing up going to the drive in in the 70s this movie is perfect for that time , Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, Gator, White Lightning , Convoy etc , great time to head t the drive in weekly, thanks again!
this movie is criminally underrated imo. It cops a lot of flak for being just talking and very little story, but those are always the best parts of QT to me and i really like this one.
The phrase Kurt Russell says to get his dance was also used in the Charles Bronson film "Telefon". In that movie , Donald Pleasence says it to activate Russian sleeper agents. I wonder if Tarantino was a fan of that movie to use the phrase?
Just waiting for "The Hateful Eight" which is on your journey. "Jackie Brown" is my favorite, "Eight" is my second fave. Can't wait till you both react to it.
This entire movie basically exists to show off Zoe Bell. Sam Raimi had her double for Lucy Lawless in Xena: Warrior Princess then she did anything Uma Thurman couldn't do in Kill Bill and Tarantino had been working on the concept of a slasher film using a stunt driver. It was a perfect storm. So he cast Zoe in her first leading role as an actor because he wanted to show there was no CG and he could shoot from any angle and you'd see it was Zoe. She's done stunts in any movie he's done since and moved up to stunt coordinator for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. She's amazing. Obviously.
Definitely an under appreciated Tarantino movie. I saw this in theaters and it's the first movie I've seen where the audience actually applauded. Great reaction guys. You need to add Planet Terror to your list. Planet Terror and Death Proof were a Grindhouse double feature in theaters.
So glad you're reacting to underrated QT movies like Jackie Brown or this one. People mostly pay attention to his most acclaimed work, like Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill, but they are all must see.
If you guys didn't know. The end car stunts were done 100% for real. No CGI. Tarantino wanted to make them like they used to. So when you see her on the hood of the car. She really is there.
Yes, it's kind of crazy and sad that real events have to be explained to viewers today because everybody's so used to practically everything being CGI now.
6:56 sums up this film pretty well. This is certainly the talkiest of all the Tarantino films. Gets tiring in parts to be honest. Best part is in the second half with Zoe Bell and the girls versus Stuntman Mike. That sequence was just damn good. Eli Roth in the red shirt in the first half plays such a convincing douchebag in this. Sidenote, his fake trailer for Thanksgiving for the Grindhouse double feature was awesome and still needs to get made into a full length film IMO much like Machete did.
There's tons of FUCKING FANTASTIC old school car chase classics you should see! One of them being the original "Gone In 60 Seconds" (1974) which features a 1973 Mustang Mach ll. The girls' car driven in to see the 1970 Challenger from "Vanishing Point" (1971). All of the movies she mentioned in the restaurant, while doing the rotation from "Reservoir Dogs" (1992)
In the theater, Tarantino actually replaced the lap dance with a "scene missing" card. Various objects were thrown at the screen by people other than me, but I sympathized.
@@Yggdrasil42 yeah, I saw it in Texas, where traumatisingly graphic depictions of violence against women are A-Okay, but sexual imagery might cause society to collapse 🙄
There's also a 2004 documentary called "Double Dare", showing Zoe Bell being a stunt woman in New Zealand for the tv show "Zena" and how she's then trying herself in Hollywood after being out of action for over a year due to an injury and living together with veteran stunt woman Jeannie Epper who sort of mentors her and tries to get her into work while she herself struggles to get stunt jobs. Then they show how she meets Tarantino to audition for Kill Bill as a stunt performer and the ecstatic reaction when she gets the gig, there's also some BTS stuff from Kill Bill showing Zoe doubling for Uma Thurman.
Ooh, you really should watch Vanishing Point! It’s a great movie, a real classic. Possibly the best car movie ever made, but also more than that…a portrait of the era it was made in
As someone who first saw Vanishing Point at a drive-in while sitting behind the wheel of a 429 cu muscle car. My girlfriend was pissed at me for the way I was driving on the way home.
Natural Born Killers isn't really a Tarantino film, he has a story credit but he said he shouldn't have recieved that. His script was completely rewritten, only the title and some character names stayed.
24:11 That is an awesome catch. If you look over Kim's shoulder you will see some blur from the special split lens. That's a trick he used in Reservoir Dogs too. Near and far in focus simultaneously. Its called a split diopter lens, and it makes for some shots with very cool depth of field
I love this movie. I don't think it's Tarrantino's lowest tier movie. For me, I'd rank it above both Kill Bill's, just because it gives me vibes of his first three films. Kurt Russell is great as always. Plus, I love how it becomes an homage to the car chase thrillers of the 70's by the third act. Great reaction.
One of the best car chase scenes I think I've seen in a long time is the last one sad that they have to wreck such a beautiful cars but a really good scene still
Also, can we agree that Tarantino is low-key an expert at making female empowerment films without being obnoxious or preachy? Take note, modern Hollywood!
@Maurice Lee - yeah and he gets the message through, by... a seemingly simple and yet deep/complex stories. Sold to us in a very visual ways in some cases. It you look at the list of the movies that have inspired him, as sometimes even he is even referencing some of them in a subtle way in his movies = then all that make sense. So is his intersts in comics, and various stories/shows from Japan and so on... And even his friendship with Robert Rodriguez. But saying the above, I don't think he claimed to be an expert at this ("making female empowerment films"). I don't think that this is his main goal at this point, as the stories are much more complex than seeing everything from that point of view only. There are few others better, older movies and characters in this case, that we can easily reference. Note: much respect here, @Maurice Lee. I don't mean to offend anybody here! Just offering some additional points/comments to the discusion. All in all, I agree with you :)
I couldn’t agree more. People don’t realize how natural he is at creating real women characters who are strong. It never feels like he’s forcing ideas on you.
@@RoyKoopaling - True that. Plenty of other older movies covered that quite good too: Alien, Aliens, whole Resident Evil series of movies with Milla Jovovitch, Tomb Rider (the older ones with Angelina Jolie), Erin Brockovich, Terminator 1 & 2, Michelle Yeow as You Shu Lien (in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon)... List is long. Now, in most movies - it feels a bit likey they are forcing those issues, instead of simply showing us a good story where a woman is simply a strong character - based on the story itself. Without forcing us to listen any comments about it during the movie, or any additional political correctness and so on.
The movie is a throwback to 70s trashy drive in thrillers. So is its companion movie, Planet Terror. The latter is Robert Rodriguez, but Tarantino has a bit role and there is a reference to Death Proof. It's set in the same film universe.
Michael parks plays Sheriff Earl McGraw. Not only did the character appear in Kill Bill, he appears in Dusk Till Dawn (opening scene) and Planet Terror as well.
This was part of a “drive-in movie” double feature and the other film was WAY better! Robert Rodriguez directed the other film called “Planet Terror.” It just might be the best “B” movie ever made!
Planet Terror is more fun and over-the-top, but I like how Death Proof feels like a legit "grindhouse" movie from that era. Planet Terror is like a modern idea of what a B movie was like, whereas with Death Proof you could almost imagine that it was actually a lost movie from the 70s.
I was waiting for this one . Your reactions and comments for "Death Proof" are terrific . I enjoyed this soooo much! Although "Death Proof" is not high on most Tarantino's fans list to watch.... this is one fan that Absolutely Loves "Death Proof" . Watching this in your channel was exactly what I was hoping for.... given the slow burn of this film it still has so much Bang to keep me invested . It is great that Sam really likes "Death Proof" and TRB enjoyed this just as much.... I enjoyed listening to you both after the movie describing different scenes . That jukebox was impressive.... the way "Death Proof" is filmed so differently than most films with the grainy footage and sudden skip scenes is something that I like most about this movie . For me the grainy and skip scenes through a good portion of this movie made it feel very authentic with a rustic vibe.... like I was watching a T.V. afternoon movie like they played back in the "70's" . I honestly have only great things to say about this and I am happy that you both got a kick out of this film . Thank you for all that you add to your channel . I look forward to many more .

THe spinoff from Grindhouse was pretty good as well - Machete & Machete Kills
Planet Terror was first.
The whole sequence of her on the hood of the car is absolutley amazing, one of my favourite Tarantino movie scenes
Zoe Bell was one of the main "Freighter People" off of LOST.
Vanishing Point is amazing. I did a doc about it. Its not so much "Action" as it is a think piece. It carries a very deep meaning about it where its just one man wanting to get to one place as fast as he can and nobody is gonna stop him till he finds peace.
The original NOT the remake!
Indeed, great movie.
I have no idea why anyone wouldn’t like mikes death. It’s incredible😭 also why would guys specifically not like it. That’s kinda wierd.
No i think that's stupid. He survives cars crashes, got scars everywhere, and crying for a little injury ?
@@scarv7664 well the whole movie was weird lmao the ending was hilarious
Fun fact: this is one of two Quentin Tarantino films where Kurt Russell plays a stunt man, the other is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Same character in the QuentinVerse?
@@eddiebranden1 Nope, two different characters.

Every single Tarantino film shows or mentions food. The nachos are by far one of the most mouthwatering examples.
When the movie first came out, It was part of a double feature, called "Grindhouse". It was "Death Proof" and "Planet Terror".
The dialog between the ladies in both groups was fantastic. Was entertained from start to finish.
Ahhh you guys should have watched Grindhouse in its entirety! One of the greatest theater going experiences I've ever had, without question!
Same. Watching this in my university years surrounded by people of similar age and taste, laughing and cheering at both movies and the bonkers trailers. Not much compares. Maybe Infinity War and Endgame. And recently Everything, Everywhere All At Once had the audience howling and in the palm of it's hand.
Yep
I only ever saw this standalone version of Death Proof. Wasn't the one shown as part of the Grindhouse double feature like 10-20 minutes shorter?
I love Grindhouse, I remember watching both death proof and planet terror in 2007 I loved it!
Badass movie theater experience
This is one of those reactions where I'm rubbing my hands together with glee waiting for it to take a turn or two you aren't expecting, and it did not disappoint, thanks guys. XD
I hadn’t seen this in soooo long and I was rolling laughing when they chased him down and he said “I’m sorry!!!” Lmao my little brother and I seen this forever ago and that part and them getting their revenge still makes us roll laughing. They Are BadAss for getting him back lol
No matter how many times I watch this, the "girlie" screams at the end always get me! 😂😂😂🤩
Love the style of the film.
This is my favorite Tarantino film. The ending is pure genius. Looking forward to your upcoming Fargo video!!
Death Proof is actually one of my favorite Tarantino movies. Very underrated in my book.
I wrote this comment before watching the video; excited to see what you think!
my theatre cheered too!!!
Breakdown is brilliant, bit of a chase movie in itself.
GRINDHOUSE as a whole experience is the film that made me decide to pursue filmmaking. 3 times in theaters. Definitely check out the full cut or at least planet terror and the fake trailers
Made any progress?
13:31 - "CGI?" "Nope - REAL cars smashing into REAL cars."
Back when Death Proof came out in 2007 it was apart of a double feature called Grindhouse, the other film is Planet Terror.
This was my introduction to Kurt Russell, this movie got me to go back and watch his classic other work. Great reaction guys 👍♥️
Zoe Bell was Uma Thurman's Stunt Double in Kill Bill and Lucy Lawless' stunt Double on Xena, Warror Princess
That´s the beauty of this movie, it´s simplicity. My favorite Tarantino movie.
Thanks tbr and samantha.
Thank you Shane!
The part where Kurt Russle asks if the girl is going left or right was an incredible scene, and the lap dance alone makes this movie worth a view.
Oh god, I cannot wait. I remember watching this double feature for the first time and I had NO IDEA WHAT I WAS GETTING INTO. Let's go!
There’s a deleted scene with the full lap dance , it’s quite mesmerizing xd
One of my favorite films, I still get chills during the final chase scene. Zoë Bell is absolutely incredible.
One of my favorite Tarantino movies. The mood and car chase are fantastic!
I don't know if you realised that the guy in the red shirt in the first bar scene was director Eli Roth? I hope you check out some of his movies in future, Hostel especially!
Samantha will be covering her eyes for much of that one, it's still worth checking out and its sequel's fine too though not quite as good.
@@LarryFleetwood8675 I actually love Hostel part 2. Part 3 was a bit sillier, but I still had fun with it. And yes, Samantha would definitely have her hands over her eyes lol
@@80skidgrownup00 I think at least storywise, Hostel 2 is better than the first film which is more goofy.
Zoe Bell was Uma Thurman's stunt double for all the fight scenes in Kill Bill as well
This is one of my favorite Tarantino movies.
That is Sidney Poitier real daughter that played in this movie. Her name is spell Sydney Poitier
The phrase Kurt Russell says to get his dance was also used in the Charles Bronson film "Telefon". In that movie , Donald Pleasence says it to activate Russian sleeper agents. I wonder if Tarantino was a fan of that movie to use the phrase?
Probably. Tarantino has seen a ton of obscure or lesser known movies.
It's a famous poem named Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost. Both movies are just referencing the poem.
Used in The Soprano's, too.
Just waiting for "The Hateful Eight" which is on your journey.
"Jackie Brown" is my favorite, "Eight" is my second fave.
Can't wait till you both react to it.
Since they've seen both Basterds and Django, I guess Hateful 8 will be next on the list. That'll be a fun one.
Tarantino has implied that this was an allegory for the way Harvey Weinstein treated women and he gave the women a chance to avenge themselves.
At 8:25 you can see the white tank top Kurt Russel wears in Big Trouble in Little China hanging on the wall.
😍😍😍seriously? You did it? Thanks youuuuu💓💓💓
Jungle Julia is Sydney Tamiia Poitier, daughter of the late, legendary actor Sidney Poitier.
Keep up the great work guys! You'll have 100k subscribers any day now!
Thanks for the support!
Zoe Bell was cast because she was a real stunt woman and they wanted it to look real - she was Uma Thurman’s stunt person in Kill Bill 1 and 2.
This is one of my favorite movies. I wish it got more love. Very underrated
Terantino aways described this as a slasher flick but instead of a knife he uses a car. This is both my favorite Terantino film and soundtrack.
Deathproof doesn't get the love it deserves.
I can't believe you guys are watching this! Awesome!
Various objects were thrown at the screen by people other than me, but I sympathized.
same with the sex scene in Planet Terror, right?
Not in The Netherlands. We're not prudes. ;)
@@Yggdrasil42 yeah, I saw it in Texas, where traumatisingly graphic depictions of violence against women are A-Okay, but sexual imagery might cause society to collapse 🙄
@@Yggdrasil42 Tarantino is definitely not that. He was just being a troll to early audiences.
@@magpieMOB I don't recall. Planet Terror was second in the double feature and quite a step down in pacing and script, though still fun.
@@billbabcock1833 Nice!
Natural Born Killers isn't really a Tarantino film, he has a story credit but he said he shouldn't have recieved that. His script was completely rewritten, only the title and some character names stayed.
Great reaction, dudes. Ya'll gotta do Planet Terror to go along with this one.
Great reaction.
kurt russell...i miss the movies with this guy.great actor!
One of the best car chase scenes I think I've seen in a long time is the last one sad that they have to wreck such a beautiful cars but a really good scene still
Grindhouse was really cool to see in cinema, it was just so unique and special really a cool experience in a theater.
Absolutely. It’s amazing what you can do when you actually just think women are people and aren’t obnoxiously trying to spread an ideology.
@@RoyKoopaling - True that. Plenty of other older movies covered that quite good too:
Alien, Aliens, whole Resident Evil series of movies with Milla Jovovitch, Tomb Rider (the older ones with Angelina Jolie), Erin Brockovich, Terminator 1 & 2, Michelle Yeow as You Shu Lien (in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon)... List is long.
Now, in most movies - it feels a bit likey they are forcing those issues, instead of simply showing us a good story where a woman is simply a strong character - based on the story itself. Without forcing us to listen any comments about it during the movie, or any additional political correctness and so on.

That was fun. Glad you both enjoyed it. I really like this movie
The movie is a throwback to 70s trashy drive in thrillers. So is its companion movie, Planet Terror. The latter is Robert Rodriguez, but Tarantino has a bit role and there is a reference to Death Proof. It's set in the same film universe.
Death, Taxes, Tarantino and his love for feet. The true cinematic universe here for cinephiles.
Michael parks plays Sheriff Earl McGraw. Not only did the character appear in Kill Bill, he appears in Dusk Till Dawn (opening scene) and Planet Terror as well.
I really hope that yall finish off this Grindhouse double feature and react to Planet Terror! You won't regret it!
One of the most satisfying endings of any movie ever.
This was part of a “drive-in movie” double feature and the other film was WAY better! Robert Rodriguez directed the other film called “Planet Terror.” It just might be the best “B” movie ever made!
WAY BETTER! I'm a huge Tarantino fan but as I get older I'm thinking I like Robert Rodriguez better.. much better;)
@@catterwall9595 Couldn't have said it better myself! Love Death Proof for that exact reason.
