god bless you ma'am. I wish you a peaceful and beutiful life. I hope to be as lively and explore music if I hopefully reach your age. I'm 19 but my grandpa and grandma are always stuck on songs of their time, they never want to explore todays music. Bless you ma'am have a good day!
Love how he keeps bringing back the reference to 'billowing', how it means one thing from the campfire, and makes him nervous when its the kid's cigarettes. This is one of the few albums I've heard in a while where I don't skip any of the songs. Just beautiful poetry and simple but melodic song writing. Music has been needing something like this.
I just took an epic road trip to the southwest and Kevin Morby, especially this song, provided the perfect soundtrack. On our way back we went thru Kansas and to the exact spot this video was filmed. Castle Rock. Such a beautiful place. We were the only two people there and relived the video. Amazing place.
This song is an incredible poem, and the music video is the perfect accompaniment. I can't stop watching it, the connection between the two of them is beautiful.
Seeing Kevin Morby live at Union Transfer in Philly yesterday was an absolute dream. I've never felt such a soul connection to an artist's music the way I do his. I only knew him from the Babies and only recently discovered his solo work 🤯. I went to see his concert immediately. Kevin Morby's voice and lyrics have been there for me in both the dark and the light times and I am so grateful for that experience to see him. His voice is unique, lyrics are beautiful. And when he plays live, it seems that his ego takes a back seat. It's all about the music and the (big magical!) vibe..... Don't mean to gush here but the love and appreciation are real!!! 😊💖✨. Happy to see other big fans as well :)
Love that whuupp sound from whatever instrument. I've never heard anything like it in a song. So very original! I wish he had worked it in a few times.
Outstanding. I went to the same high school as kevin and his songs bring me back to my roots somehow. I left KC a long time ago but his music always makes me remember.
So happy for this dude. I used to see him live with his band The Babies 10+years ago. His vocals here bring me back. If you like Kevin check out "Get Lost" and "Alligator"

So excited for his show tmrw night in Woodstock! First time seeing him live! Feel so close to this song and video after playing it repeatedly on a recent southwest roadtrip and going to the exact spot it was filmed which is called Castle Rock in Kansas. Woohoo
I like Kevin Morby. His songs are interesting (tempo changes, abrupt pauses, etc.), his lyrics are oddly particular ("every first Wednesday"), and his visuals starkly American (everything seen here). This makes for really unique yet still universally relevant themes. Sometimes his performativity is overdone and I can't follow, but that's OK. He's going for something. All of these things are embodied in this song and video. Looking forward to the rest of the record.
Maron brought me here! This Morby situation all week on IG live was something. Is that how he ended up on the show?? Great exposure cause I had no idea who he was and this is the first song I listened to and it’s right up my alley.
Amazing video and song. First time hearing you and love your sound. My son sent it to me because he recognized the location of the video. My home town and we often spent time out at Cattle Rock.
Also, you should listen to the version of this song on his "four track demo" (from a night at the little Los Angeles)... it's a little bit more slowed down and stripped down, but packs just as much, if not more, raw emotion.
Saw you perform this live with Elizabeth Moen last week. You could hear a pin drop during her verse. Absolutely beautiful live performance you put together.

Oh meu Deus, oh eu acho
E ondula
E o céu tinha mil anos
Sempre mantive o tempo no bolso de trás
Homem nenhum, porra, veio levar minha alma
Feche a porta e tranque-a
Pensei ter visto a Jessi, aí comecei a me sentir orgulhoso
Fique calmo, fique calmo e me dê sua palma
Fique calmo, fique calmo e me dê sua palma
Você ouviu as notícias?
Anthony está morto, e pobre Richard também
Eles ondulam, eles ondulam, e isso me deixa nervoso
Perfect timing
