I found the mum's reaction so deeply moving. I think so often when survivors tell their family or friends about what happened, their loved ones are so frightened by the fact that it happened that they choose to block it out because if they can ignore it, it didn't happen. The mum's face contorting from tearful and scared for her daughter into shame and rage is just so real. She wants to cry, but if she does, she's admitting that her baby has been hurt in a way she cannot fathom, so she takes it out on her instead.
Very likely the mother has been through the same... She is still in shock for her own and she is helpless. Denying and silence only brings more víctims.
This was very moving. Especially the depiction of bystanders symbolised as monsters because they don’t help despite seeing the obvious atrocity was amazing. Came here from a reel. Glad I did!
The mum's face contorting into Picasso's Screaming Woman and she morphs into a monster bc why on earth would you blame your child for getting taken advantage of. it also showcases the two reactions from society that makes victims of abuse decline accepting or seeking help; the dad who ignores like the train passengers or the mother who blames the victim. when i first saw the scene of the shadowy figure sitting next to the boy, it reminded me of Ghost Face and Chihiro riding the train; but the difference in the kids' postures - one being relaxed while the second is shrinking - immediately raised red flags
The scene with the mother really impacted me. Im not sure if this is what youre saying, but i felt as though the reactions of those who find out how you were harmed can be just as scary and suffocating as the event itself. I love this film.
@@camille_bardaud can you work in glitch production and make a show called bird war it’s about lil furball bunnies having a violent war against the mutation birds to order them to wipe them out
It’s chilling because this is such a real depiction. I hope you all got the help you needed. As you’ve all already become the phoenix that rises to say no by making this video.
As an sa child survivor this was so hard to watch but at the same time so raw and beautiful. I do believe it’s our duty to make sure children don’t go through the same thing we did and especially, to protect children in harms way from systematic oppressions and harms. With what’s going on in the world, we must look out for all children and try to use our voice to protect all, regardless of color, race, gender. We must be the new generation that can help detect possible harms to the innocent.
This was such amazing storytelling. From the use of imagery to the use of sound. The ‘Non’ was so immensely poignant and gave me chills. Keep doing what you are doing, art like this is crucial to change. ❤
Wow, that was very well animated. I like how every adult who committed a bad deed became a shadow. And the way child molestation is shown, I simply have no words 1:40
My thoughts about the story is : the dark thing represents the bad in the world, the child represents our inner self who is scared of things, who is running away from them. "The absued becomes the absuer." Can be seen here, by the thing consuming the innner child. The world where the child was sitting representes peace of the inner self which was disturbed by the bad doing of the world, which was everywhere around the child. Period represents adunthood, at first the child was scared to grow up but as time pass a new adult version of her came which is repersented by the bird, it represents our mature self which flied away form the darkness, but it can't be at peace untill it's inner child is healed and saved from the darkness. And at late when she saved the child it represented that she is healed and will not pass the abuse anymore, when she saved the child she was heavily breathing which represented that she is afraid but taking step is necessary which she took. Overall the story was great.
Honestly this short film needs to have more views and likes. This is a very powerful short film. It’s sad that kids look for help, but instead get the cold shoulder. That is why they turn into monsters as well. Some mothers even blame the child for what happens to them. They’re jealous and hate the child because how dare they be touched by the one they love. It’s disgusting. More people should look out for others especially if we see something isn’t right. We as victims, can see other victims in need especially because there are signs. Look for them.
Your work is breathtakingly tragic and beautiful. The color and symbolism you used told this terrible story of abuse, neglect, trauma, and action. I was in tears everytime I watched it, feeling the emotion you put into this. Please continue to pursue artwork and animation. ❤
Growing up experiencing something like this, I used to always carry a hatred towards other boys and men in general. I would turn to manga characters or celebrities to idolize instead. But as I grew older, I learned that not all boys and men are bad, but I just need to be very careful and pick out good men to surround myself with. I developed a tendency to be wary of other people because you can never know if someone can turn out to be a "monster" like the ones in this film. I used to think I wish I could befriend others freely, but now I've learned to know that it's a blessing to know to look out for myself because not everyone has my best interest. I try to teach young kids around me about the potential danger and to always be there for them when needed. It's a sad world we live in but those who've been through it would wish to protect others from experiencing the same thing. Love to us all ❤️
wow, this really hits the heart. It's very sad to think that many children have had and have to go through situations like this, it's very painful. Honestly this made me cry... it has a very good message. 🩷
Thank you for all your kind comments 🤍

Came here from a reel bc I saw a teaser and wanted to check out the whole thing. It’s so beyond beautiful and moving
Thanks so much 🙏 is it possible to share the reel with me please? I'm curious ಠಿ_ಠಿ
I saw this on Instagram and came to watch the full version! 10/10 very inspiring the creator should be so proud

the scene of her rising like a phoenix from the ashes of her trauma 😭💖
All the adults in her life failed her; she couldn’t bear to be the same type of adult. ❤
What’s up with the view count? This is way too good to be swept under the rug like this.
Thank you so much ! My school posted the video at the same time and collected the views eheh

Sadly society is trying to normalize robbing children of their innocence. Thats why something as powerfull as this video lacks views.

At the end, you can even tell how hard she was fighting her own traumas in order to protect that child

Great animation. It spreads awareness bout how multiple victims are treated past the bad incident even though it doesn't seem plausible
