He’s good even very good and strong defensively but this kind of players like him , dest or semedo need spaces to exploit the full potential but as u know in la liga the defensive lines are well organized and rarely leave as much spaces as we see in England or even in the bundesliga so like those predecessors he can flop. it will be difficult to replace Dani Alves for this position but I hope we will eventually find.

As a Leverkusen fan, used to be absolutely atrocious in his season here, but has been very decent his second season, the pace masks some dodgy positioning and maybe a slight lack of physicality, but he commits to challenges and has good timing and is very precise with it. Had some dangerous counterattacks on that side against us though because of him playing so incredibly high up the pitch, but that is what our coaches game plan is like, overall his defending is alright though
