I think that the majority of cars have working blinkers in GTA 5. I play on singple player and there's a mod that actually adds key binds to use blinkers
8:20 the Grangers interior is actually almost a 1:1 of its real life truck. The interior photo you used for the real truck is the current gen tahoe/suburban whereas the Granger is based on the previous gen. If you look at the 2020 and previous models the interiors spot on. Crazy how they go to such detail on some cars and just completely neglect others. Like the wheels and fenders things. So simple and that would do a lot for a lot of cars. Nice video btw

You're right on the spoilers, mostly. Some cars have a downforce value pre valued, adding a spoiler won't affect anything. Some cars have down force value and can have a wing for added traction. R* has been getting sneaky with "spoilers" as some body parts on options will act as a spoiler upgrade thats not an actual spoiler. Edit: Some cars have a factory wing/spoiler that usually doesn't do anything, some even with a active spoiler. It won't count as it having one selected. Off topic: Off road tires have a 0 clip value, meaning it goes over bumps better while racing.
The active default spoilers not doing anything beneficial to performance is such a shame because whenever you add one, it kind of just sticks on top of the active wing, and the wing will still go up and down lol.
@@v_Falls_v Yep, the progen t20 was actually broken for a long time, but r* later fixed it giving it proper down force on its spoiler. I believe that the Nero's active aero does nothing, along with some other cars. However, some newer cars have active aero spoilers as a selectable option in the lsc, giving it the traction bonus while having the active aero. As I said before, some cars don't have spoiler options, but sometimes roof options and side panels will act as a spoiler upgrade. I believe the fagaloa has a rear visor upgrade that provides traction for example.
Hey there, car mod maker here to explain the boring, technical reasons behind some of the stuff featured in this video: - Any audio for a car is contained in one file, and a car has the sound activated via one line of code inside of a file called 'vehicles.meta' There are a couple different doorshut sounds that rockstar uses, the Bodhi uses the more industrial/old sound - In relation to the Astron, all vehicle collisions are set up using a separate mesh to what you actually see, and interiors do not have its own collision. - Bumper Collisions are sometimes coded to interact with the ground, this was introduced during the lowrider DLC for the lowriders, however the Faction is the only car that is not a lowrider that has this flag - Spoilers have a modifier in the 'carcols.meta' file that adds downforce when a spoiler is added. There is a flag that is added to most offered vehicles that disables this, as this category is used for beds, roof racks or window panels on some cars - Roofs dont have separate collisions on convertible cars, as it is all lumped into the mesh 'chassis (col)' - The reasons why the the panels fall off of the trophy truck (and other vehicles with extras) is because 'extras' (the name for mesh that can be turned off and on for traffic vehicles, but is also used for some tuning bits) were designed to fall off if the vehicle is in a curtain collision. If an extra does not have a (col) mesh, it bugs out and can fall off in either massive or small collisions, and that is what is happening here - All cars have a texture called 'script_rt_dails_(insert 1 of 22 vehicles), and only some of them have the little icon that turns on - The flaps on the blower are its separate meshes inside of the hierarchy, and rotate around any set axis. This can also be used to make stuff like tractor flaps with some engineering - (speculation after analysing models) Rockstar has a set number of assets that need to be used in a car to be sent though to the approval, and the pedal set is one of them. It could also be laziness on rockstars behalf, which is also very viable - Petrol Cars have a node called 'Overheat', which controls where the smoke and fire comes out when a car is damaged. This is removed from the electric cars - Although it is very possible to make the wheels move out (with mods and scripts like VStancer) rockstar decides not to do this. It is possible this is being left to be in GTA 6 - It is insanely easy to chance what wheels are driven via a bias modifier in the 'Handling.meta' - Modern DLC cars are backports from GTA 6 (they are in GTA 6, but are put in GTA 5 for content). These cars have higher polycounts, and are more resembling of real life cars and interiors
it's kinda funny how GTA 5 doesn't have turn signals for the player, but Saints Row The Third and 4 have them. it's not a "make or break" detail, but interesting how a much less detailed game has this feature
Speedometer info, few cars had heat / radiator meter & it works, information about damage on the car. 3:20 not only spoiler, all part modified from original will change car behavior, simple but great detail, choosing performance or style.
I like honking at slow driving NPCs and getting them to road rage. They will speed up, take off driving erratically or even come after you and can start shooting at you. Also there are some neat dialogue responses from the drivers when you honk at them.
you can actually get way move vehicles to spawn if you dont get lesters pretty sure its: personal, Agatha, thruster from avenger, Dax, Franklin, Agent 14, sparrow, service vehicle, pegasus, etc.. i tested it some time ago and there are so many vehicles u can call up now u can almost have a whole ass vehicle/car meet by urself 😂

The Faction is bugged since the day it was added, it also acts like a "bumpercar" when u hit other cars with it. The only attempt RockStar tried to fix the car failed badly, so they left it as it is ever since. Shame, do to it has nice visual upgrades.
@7:30 you can tell if a car is FWD or RWD by doing a burn out.. much easier to tell as the non-drive wheels won't spin.. AWD or 4x4's will only use rear wheels for burnouts tho.. As for the "personal" vehicles you can have out simultaneously, there are more.. The most I've seen at one time was done by my Steam friend "ShelLuser." 1) Terrobyte 2) CEO vehicle 3) Personal Vehicle 4) Pegasus Vehicle (or in your case, Lester's car) 5) Angela Baker Casino Vehicle 6) Franklin's Agency SUV 7) Tony's NC vehicle 8) Imani's bike I'm curious if the acid lab and/or acid delivery bike can be added to this list as well..
To tell which drivetrain a car has, you just rev it up with handbrake+throttle, release a handbrake and see which wheels make skid marks, simple as that And also, Acid lab and Terrorbyte can NOT be spawned at the same time, though didn't test the delivery bike
I still have the hearse that spawned in at the hospital route. took over 2 hours for it to spawn it made it my pledge not to sell it. But also remember the time where if you set a vehicle on fire with a mini gun. You didn’t have to pay for the MMI and they did
About the turning signs, it will blink a sign on the panel aswell, there's scrips that actually make it work for the player, probably was meant to be implemented when the game was released, but for some reason, Rockstar decided to not do that
small random fact as well, most of the electric vehicles can do either a front or a rear burnout, usually r2 and r1 will do front and of course the usual r2 and l2 for rear burnout
The blowerone is kinda weird because they were remodeled once they were made functional for the newer muscle cars but rockstar decided not to add the piece that actually gives the blower throttle response by attaching to the throttle line that usually goes to the carberators
You can have 4 cars at once, but you can also have a sparrow, delivery bike, and avenger thruster active at the same time. you can also have a service vehicle, like the MOC cab, making at least 8 active vehicles
I'd be interested in knowing about all the car modifications that affect their performance - like the spoiler that you mentioned. I've heard neon underside lights drop the car closer to the ground and improves handling. Do canards also help for example? Does armour add weight and slow a car down. Is yellow really the fastest colour etc
Well I can tell you right know, neon lights do not drop the car lower or improve handling, canards do not help handling, armor does not add weight to slow you down, I doubt yellow is the fastest color lol. I will say though off-road tires do improve handling only slightly.

See if a car has FWD, RWD or AWD is easier done by making a burnout. Gas+brake makes spin the rear or front tyres. If not sure about AWD, putting the nose against a wall, then hit the gas, and see which tyres are spinning. Electric vehicles are even different in that since you can burn rear or front tyres seperately: gas+brake = burnout rear wheels, handbrake+gas is burnout front wheels.
5:13 I didn’t know this, so when I got my trophy truck and was driving it for the first time I found this to be the funniest thing ever edit: gta plus members can have 5 cars at any one time becuase the vinewood car club lets them request one of the cars from there (but not as a personal vehicle)
I will improve or add some to some of your facts. All muscle cars can wheelie, but the weevil that is in compacts can also wheelie, it is the only non-muscle car that can wheelie. Adding a spoiler to your car gives you more grip even if the spoiler option is "no spoiler" (only if it is the non stock option) In the interior of a npc's car you can see the low beams, high beams and the turn signals. Cars that have blowers interact with how much throtle you give to it, but there are old cars with the same blowers but they do nothig, an example for this is the Blade.
I think it's a homage to the lovebug Herbie, which did a lot of wheelies in the series of movies. The Weevil has also some liveries and customisation to look like the favorite tv beetle car. There's no way adding a livery, or custom parts like spoilers or different fenders, bumpers and others to affect performance in such a way, so R* simply made the stock Weevil perform like that as a homage to the tv car and for people to customise it after that iconic car with the matching performance.
7:30 faster way is to park nose first into something like a wall and just gas it, it will spin back or front or all tires. some awd cars have a small ABS like feature that wont show it at first but will go once they lose traction
To see if a car is fwd, rwd, or awd i drive it against a solid object but on some awd car all 4 wheels sometimes wont spin bc of the different power bias to certain wheels which is pretty cool. Also not sure if the picador can do a wheelie even though its a muscle car because its awd.
these tips are dope, for checking if a car is RWD AWD or FWD theres a lot easier way to tell, all u have to do is be up against a building or something u cant push lol and just start flooring it, it will only spin the wheels of what type of wheel drive the car is!
Just as a fun fact, for the three paddles, and the manual shifter, that “third pedal” is actually just a metal piece to rest your foot on from what I can tell. My car has that exact thing and it is a tiptronic transmission meaning that it’s got paddle shifters but it is an automatic but there’s three metal slats just like that car.
Its easier to figure out what wheel drive your car is if you just put your front bumper up to something and drive straight. Depending of what wheels move (front or back) will determine which wheel drive your car is
The interior picture of a Tahoe you put on screen is of the 20' and up, which is why it doesn't match the older tahoe dashboard (2014-2019) is absolutely identical to the granger 3600.
6:12 bro lots of new Porsche (pfister) irl have paddle shifter not stick shift manual 😭 Ik my old celica had paddle shift as well. It has manual because the car still needs to know you put it in manual before you use the clutch and paddle shifters.

To be fair for the car at 6:25, I notice the M gear. Some newer cars have an option to switch to manual mode and drive your automatic car like a manual. This car seems to replicate that, thus the clutch peddle & “M” gear.
I did mention in the vid that I probably chose a bad car for my point lol, some cars have automatic shifters with no M mode, probably should have chose a different car.

You can call Ms baker for car ,securo serv for car,personal car, pegasus car, and franklin for car suv and you can use them at the same time idk about others so that means you can use 5 cars at the same time

Not all cars react with the blower. Also if you take the front bumper off of an f1 car it will flip backwards Also the granger interior looks even closer to the previous model suburban
The last one is wrong I did this once and let me make a lost of what I had: -Personal vehicle -Pegasus vehicle -Ceo vehicle -Calling tony for a vehicle -Calling franklin for the company suv -Calling agent 47 or something for a vehicle -Calling a girl that can find you a motorcycle nearby -Calling the assistant or miss casino (cant remember wich one) for the limo service So that's already 8 personal vehicles and Im 100% sure im forgetting a few too
You can actually get much more vehicles out at the same time uf you call up all the special vehicles that come with the kosatka, avenger and so on aswell as like 3 or 4 dudes in the phone book that also deliver cars like Dax etc
6:49 a Electric car will still smoke and for the mid/rear mounted engine cars and shoot it or damage it enough the car will still smoke out of the front and if someone says anything about radiators they are mounted closer to the right side of the vehicle and much smaller then a front mounted engine
The blower one is only partially true and partially false. The older vehicles that have the blower aren’t animated, like the Sabers and Dukes, but newer vehicles do have animated blowers, like the Gauntlet Hellfire and Imperator. It seems like the older vehicles that have blowers that aren’t animated might have been due to engine limitations of the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Driver 1 & 2 for thr PS1 has the turn signal feature where if you went slowly and turned the signals will work. Funny how R* can't or won't implement this.
If you're talking strictly about card, yes you can only have 4, but any vehicles at one time, you can actually have 5, Personal, Ceo, Pegasus, Service Moonpool, and service vehicle itself

The indicator issue has an easy answer. Most of the player base is console so with that, The controller button layout has been maxed to then have to controls for 2 more inputs added after 10 years yep not going to happen

The bodhi definitely gives me Land Rover vibes, the headlights and the 2 small circular taillights on each side as well.

The interior is actually a mix of both the older gen F-Series trucks/Expedition and older gen Suburban/Yukon interior

To tell which drivetrain a car has, you just rev it up with handbrake+throttle, release a handbrake and see which wheels make skid marks, simple as that
And also, Acid lab and Terrorbyte can NOT be spawned at the same time, though didn't test the delivery bike

About the turning signs, it will blink a sign on the panel aswell, there's scrips that actually make it work for the player, probably was meant to be implemented when the game was released, but for some reason, Rockstar decided to not do that

small random fact as well, most of the electric vehicles can do either a front or a rear burnout, usually r2 and r1 will do front and of course the usual r2 and l2 for rear burnout

The blowerone is kinda weird because they were remodeled once they were made functional for the newer muscle cars but rockstar decided not to add the piece that actually gives the blower throttle response by attaching to the throttle line that usually goes to the carberators

You can have 4 cars at once, but you can also have a sparrow, delivery bike, and avenger thruster active at the same time. you can also have a service vehicle, like the MOC cab, making at least 8 active vehicles

I'd be interested in knowing about all the car modifications that affect their performance - like the spoiler that you mentioned. I've heard neon underside lights drop the car closer to the ground and improves handling. Do canards also help for example? Does armour add weight and slow a car down. Is yellow really the fastest colour etc
Well I can tell you right know, neon lights do not drop the car lower or improve handling, canards do not help handling, armor does not add weight to slow you down, I doubt yellow is the fastest color lol. I will say though off-road tires do improve handling only slightly.

@@mikesheehan5946 Broughy1332 has a video that explains all customizations that affect handling, in the video he states that neon lights actually does make a difference in terms of handling (whether thats lower cog or more grip i dont remember) other weird stuff include each different canard and bumper for open wheel cars changes the downforce of the car, and i cant actually remember the car maybe the devest8? but depending on where u are on the map, determines how hard u can corner

See if a car has FWD, RWD or AWD is easier done by making a burnout. Gas+brake makes spin the rear or front tyres. If not sure about AWD, putting the nose against a wall, then hit the gas, and see which tyres are spinning.
Electric vehicles are even different in that since you can burn rear or front tyres seperately: gas+brake = burnout rear wheels, handbrake+gas is burnout front wheels.

All muscle cars can wheelie, but the weevil that is in compacts can also wheelie, it is the only non-muscle car that can wheelie.
Adding a spoiler to your car gives you more grip even if the spoiler option is "no spoiler" (only if it is the non stock option)
In the interior of a npc's car you can see the low beams, high beams and the turn signals.
Cars that have blowers interact with how much throtle you give to it, but there are old cars with the same blowers but they do nothig, an example for this is the Blade.
The picador cannot wheely when fully upgraded and is all wheel drive the vehicle is in the muscle’s class

2:18 the weevil can wheelie too for some reason, this was a thing even before the weevil custom existed.
I think it's a homage to the lovebug Herbie, which did a lot of wheelies in the series of movies. The Weevil has also some liveries and customisation to look like the favorite tv beetle car. There's no way adding a livery, or custom parts like spoilers or different fenders, bumpers and others to affect performance in such a way, so R* simply made the stock Weevil perform like that as a homage to the tv car and for people to customise it after that iconic car with the matching performance.

7:30 faster way is to park nose first into something like a wall and just gas it, it will spin back or front or all tires. some awd cars have a small ABS like feature that wont show it at first but will go once they lose traction
To see if a car is fwd, rwd, or awd i drive it against a solid object but on some awd car all 4 wheels sometimes wont spin bc of the different power bias to certain wheels which is pretty cool. Also not sure if the picador can do a wheelie even though its a muscle car because its awd.

these tips are dope, for checking if a car is RWD AWD or FWD theres a lot easier way to tell, all u have to do is be up against a building or something u cant push lol and just start flooring it, it will only spin the wheels of what type of wheel drive the car is!
You can also do that but I found that doing it the way I showed is better because you can see if an AWD car is rear wheel or front wheel biased.

1:58 Pretty much all car even new one have functional blinker but the only way to use them is to use mods
Just as a fun fact, for the three paddles, and the manual shifter, that “third pedal” is actually just a metal piece to rest your foot on from what I can tell. My car has that exact thing and it is a tiptronic transmission meaning that it’s got paddle shifters but it is an automatic but there’s three metal slats just like that car.

Its easier to figure out what wheel drive your car is if you just put your front bumper up to something and drive straight. Depending of what wheels move (front or back) will determine which wheel drive your car is
or just hold brake and gas although I believe awd cars always spin the rear even though they shouldn't burnout at all even with linelocks
The issue with the faction on the kerbs has always really annoyed me, I love driving it but you really can’t hit any bumps at all in it.
The interior picture of a Tahoe you put on screen is of the 20' and up, which is why it doesn't match the older tahoe dashboard (2014-2019) is absolutely identical to the granger 3600.

To be fair for the car at 6:25, I notice the M gear. Some newer cars have an option to switch to manual mode and drive your automatic car like a manual. This car seems to replicate that, thus the clutch peddle & “M” gear.
I did mention in the vid that I probably chose a bad car for my point lol, some cars have automatic shifters with no M mode, probably should have chose a different car.
only car with a working clutch paddle and auto mode is koenigsegg cc850 and it hasnt even been sold yet if im not wrong,auto cars doesnt have clutches

Nah new porches irl have a paddle shifters. Lots of other cars do too. My old 2001 Celica had auto, and manual mode with paddle shifters and a clutch.

6:49 a Electric car will still smoke and for the mid/rear mounted engine cars and shoot it or damage it enough the car will still smoke out of the front and if someone says anything about radiators they are mounted closer to the right side of the vehicle and much smaller then a front mounted engine
The blower one is only partially true and partially false. The older vehicles that have the blower aren’t animated, like the Sabers and Dukes, but newer vehicles do have animated blowers, like the Gauntlet Hellfire and Imperator. It seems like the older vehicles that have blowers that aren’t animated might have been due to engine limitations of the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Easier way to know if the car is fwd/awd/rwd go against a wall and accelerate only the driving wheels will spin.
The bf weevil is the only car to my knowledge that isn’t a muscle car but can do a wheelie

you can tell if a car has a windshield by if there is a see through glass panel in front of the drivers face or not.
Driver 1 & 2 for thr PS1 has the turn signal feature where if you went slowly and turned the signals will work. Funny how R* can't or won't implement this.

The indicator issue has an easy answer. Most of the player base is console so with that, The controller button layout has been maxed to then have to controls for 2 more inputs added after 10 years yep not going to happen
