I love the bride. The accessories also remind of 90s barbie. Pj is a yes! Brunette hair with brown eyes 🤩. Teresa dress looks very outdated. There are so many Latina celebrities today who dress impeccably on the red carpet to be inspired by…and we ended up with that 😢
Even though I am close in age to original Barbie, I recall my first Teresa doll in the 90's still own her Purple Bikini with silver threads! Oh I was hoping for that Teresa face with some up to the minute fashion and accessories! Thank God for some of the Barbie movie dolls, Ken extra fly, and the Gorgeous tall Brunette from Barbie looks this year! My favorite doll is a brunette Sassy to pose and dress, from 10 to 15 yrs ago, had to pay up for her on EBAY worth it! Love your content, knowledge and personality!
Maybe Mattel , made another 80s iconic dolls on repro collection, Tropical and Crystal, and Magic Moves or Dreamglow Barbies....in fact, Tropical Miko is very lovely and remembered doll, with very large black hair, and pollinesian style...greetings from Chile...
Christie is a stunner and so is the PJ repro (though no camera) while I think the Silkstone repro of Midge is a bit of a let down. I would have preferred the OOAK Midge but it is what it is. The Teresa is odd - I see so little in her that reminds me of the original doll and she looks more like a belated birthstone Barbie edition. Thanks for the heads-up.
Hello - Very astute observation referencing across the decades demonstrating comparative analysis at an academic level. Fashion Kayla was done in the early 90s for those who would like a camera. Ryan with Margot at the presentations seems to channel the Pet Lovin outfits worn by Ken in the previous outfits available back then which were all pastel but stylish. The repro Teresa would obviously look like she should when taken out of the box. She appears to be a nod to the Dolls of the World Spanish with a modern twist, although somewhat Quinceanera but also up-to-date. I would say give her a chance, especially with the lovely face-mold which features the slightly square jaw-line more in keeping with her ethnicity. Was very much looking forward to the stunning Midge. Alas, a one-of-a-kind. Lucky collector who finally wins her in some auction bid. It just reminds us of her importance in Barbie's history and love her the more. Thank you. Happy collecting!
teresa was def dissapointing, and as a latino I'm extra sad cause latinas are known to be a lil extra and we looove teresa since she was kinda the only representation we had in the past, when did model muse dolls become so boring looking? also the earring magic ken on the thumbnail made me think we were getting a repro or something that would be cool!!
