I was there around 1988 as a 11yr on football tour, have some amazing memories, especially the pool areas with the slides, cable cars, chalets, big breakfast hall. It was the first bit of independence I ever had away from my parents.

Fairplay for taking the time to make this in a time when cameras wernt as common as these days. U had so much fun, no mobile fones, butlins looked a better night out.... bittersweet

Funny they still had the Galaxy witches hat ride still even bk then it's a shame they haven't still got that mini roller coster today. Still look abit drab bk then though accommodation wasn't as nice be fun to go bk in time and try it But I think I still prefer today's Butlins though

I worked as a butlins photographer from 1986 until 1991. It was Saturday night every night.
We had a great time , best time for a young single bloke.
I worked at Butlins Minehead from 88-90 inclusive including as venu manager at the Beachcomber and Wessex Room. Great seeing the 'Sheds' again.
