A tip for all the helldivers below level 20 wanting to deal with chargers i found that the expendable anti-tank stratagem weapon to be my best friend, if i ever saw a charger i would call it down and shoot both of them at its leg and it just killed it instantly
Bile spewers (especially the armored ones) are some of my favourite enemies to fight because it helps me train my ability to cook grenades. If you manage to cook a HE nade just right so it blows up behind or above them it's just so satisfying to see them immediately screech and lie dead afterwards. Also if you're bringing a grenade launcher, a direct hit to them will kill them in about 2 hits
The disposable anti tank rockets are also good for dealing with chargers low level. 1 hit to the leg will destroy the armour and you can call those things in every minute.
One interesting tip is that supply stratagems actually track moving targets so you can throw one directly onto a charger or bile Titan and the pod will come down right on top of them.
As someone who joined just in time to help with Swift Disassembly, and has been throwing everything he has at the current commiebot problem, this is a useful video. I know I’ll end up fighting the bugs eventually.
For bile spewers, grenade launcher is the best way combined with a supply pack. Incredible for horde clearing as well with the exception of chargers and bile titans.
Love the grenade launcher, so good at horde clear. I know it can't deal with chargers well, but I saw some guy saying grenade launcher shots will hit a bile titans face and eventually kill it. Do u have any experience with this? Im almost certain nades would bounce off its head.
Love the video, thanks for the content! One thing that I feel is useful for new divers, 1 expendable rocket will remove a chargers leg armor so you can shoot it right afterwards. Expendable rocket unlocks super early.
I find that the Single-Use Anti-tank is extremely effective against chargers. The rocket destroys the front leg armor in a single shot, then you immediately switch to your primary and mag dumb into his leg. Important things to note: -When you blow off one of their legs, they’ll do a small charge at you so be ready to dodge. -Single-Use Anti-Tank drops in pairs, so you get 2 dead chargers with each drop as long as you don’t fuck up your aim. -It’s cooldown and deployment time is pretty short, so I’ve been essentially just dropping a pair of them the moment I see a charger, and by the time I need another one the cooldown is either almost done or completely ready. -MAKE SURE YOU GOT GOOD AIM. If you miss your one or two shots, your shit out of luck for the next 80 seconds. Best way to make them stationary is to let them charge, dodge, turn around and shoot their leg as they start to rev up their next charge.
this has some fairly usefull info, a little bit more too, is that shooting the bile titans belly and destroying it will stop a titan being able to use the vomit attack.
18:19 It will only take 2 regular railgun shots in it's open mouth. Just let it come close enough to start it's spitting attack. As the railgun shots stun it, you won't get hit. 2 shots and it's dead.
Concerning Eagle Strike deploy directions: Pretty sure there is some sort of smart-targeting going on, as at least the Strafing Run for sure likes to rather go from the beacon location and into the direction it was thrown in, which is also the direction of the enemies most of the time, so that might be the reason instead of a rigid vector. Additionally, obviously the bomb and the rocket pods don't have a vector at all.
Okay, for helldivers at low level, run the expendable anti-tank. In the absolute worst case scenario where you’re being swarmed, you can kill up to 3 chargers by dropping the stratagem on one and getting headshots on the other two. The best way to stick the drop on them is to land the stratagem right between their head and leg if you’re in front of them.
The EAT-17 will one shot head shot chargers on the lower levels and 2 shot head shot them on higher levels and you get 2 per deployment. It doesn't mean you can use it to deal with a herd of chargers, but if you're at those lower/mid levels and are constantly harassed by one, you should get the EAT-17. If you miss, you're still able to break the leg armor, but the EAT-17 is often overlooked because it's expendable. The reason it's marginally better for the job than the Recoilless Rifle is that you can do that by yourself. Running through to EAT's is a lot faster than firing the RR and reloading by yourself. That's a moot point if you got someone willing to reload for you, but the point still stands that beyond the railgun, the EAT-17 is the best easiest option for chargers currently. Easiest meaning you don't have to grind too far up in levels and you don't have to be a wizard to land a stratagem in the correct spot at the correct time.
If youre using 500kg bombs, especially on longer call in times, shooting a titan with a rail gun to stun can help. Also keeping a titan alive can be handy, as it'll friendly fire the chargers and hordes with acid, so sometimes keeping it alive for a bit is useful, also it can even kill another titan if youre lucky enough.
Hunters are really cool and the AI is really impressive. When you are trying to kill hive nests and toss grenades down the hole, hunters will actively try to block you from throwing a grenade in by constantly staying between you and the hole and side strafing with you if you try to get another angle. At least this is what I’ve noticed and it cost me a life on difficulty 8 since I couldn’t clear the hole for this exact reason.
Recoilless Rifle and Disposable Anti-Tank are both good low level ways to deal with Chargers. One shot from either strips the armor on a leg. While leveling to 20, I carried a Recoilless Rifle and would pop their front leg as they charged then get out my shotgun and finish them with a few shots. Only works to about level 5 missions solo because there’s too many chargers to reload fast enough at level 6+ missions.
Hitting two hits right in their face with the autocannon drops them, but you do need to line up those two shots, either from the little mailbox slot on the front, or the big went things on the back
Guessing you probably know this, but Bile Titans have an additional weak spot hidden in their mouth, which you can only shoot just before/during their bile-puke attack. When their mouth is open you can send firepower straight down their throat. You have to be looking at them while they're facing at you directly, but if you're solo this is pretty much a guarantee. It seems to be much more damaging, I was in a full team game where (as far as I could tell) the only other damage was teammates firing at its poison sacs with primary fire, after which it died to a single EAT17 rocket that went right in. Can't confirm that there was no other damage dealt to it aside from that, but I don't think anyone else hit it with any armor-piercing weapons/stratagems, so it seems the EAT dealt way more damage than usual..
For the charger, the Orbital Precision Strike beacon will stick to his legs, but will bounce off his carapace. If you can toss it on them and get the hell away from it, bye charger.
The orbital rail cannon is amazing for a single charger. Much less so for swarms of chargers. The Arc throwers works Alton requires several good shots. And also comes with its friendly fire risk. But if you get I front of everyone you’re good.
Honestly I think the best eagle stratagem is the airstrike, it "can" kill chargers and titans if you get alittle bit lucky / set up the strafe right (what I have been doing is looking at my feed and turning 90 degrees so the bombing run will go straight down in a line and if you do that vs chargers or bile titans you can actually kill them with it, its alittle bit rng on if you kill them or not but the fact you can with it AND its an amazing wave clearing and bug nest killing machine (its better on killing the robot factors then the bug nests but still good) Honestly the airstrike is so much better atm then the 500kg, 500kg has such a small aoe for how it looks (you think it would kill everything in the blast but so many times things survive in the visual blast)
For Chargers: you can also simply flamethrower them. They are extremely weak to it, and you can get the flamethrower almost immediately so it’s viable for any level.
Dealing with a Charger while below lv20. Recoilless rifle to the front leg to strip off armor and one mag (of the Knight smg for example) to the exposed leg and it usually collapses mid charge before reaching you. Reload and repeat
You can one shot the charger's leg armor with a recoilless rifle or EAT and then dump your mag into it. Though it isn't as effective as the railgun due to their ammo capacity/timer when there's a lot of them (and also having 1 chance to do it). But it feels so badass when you've got the hang of it.
My most hated mobs are the hunters especially when they team up and take turns essentially stun locking you. Trying to reload? One hits you, knocking you out of your animation. Trying to dive away to get some distance after that bug is recovering from its attack animation? Don't worry, another hunter will take its turn and launch itself and hit you while you're down. Trying to get up and run after your stamina is recovered? Well, the first hunter is done recovering so it's their turn now. Oh and there's typically more than one. You still haven't reload AND there's acid involved now? That's too bad for you, buddy. 😂 I'd honestly take on chargers more than a horde of hunters up close nowadays. The rail gun strat to the leg + primary/small arms fire kill takes down chargers no problem.
Hive guards are no problem if you have the Liberator Penetrator. It pens the head armor, so just give a few bursts to the dome, and it pops. Hunters are by far the enemy I hate the most. Stalkers are worse but less abundant and are usually focused down pretty quickly.
Another method for chargers and I think the intended way to fight them is to just go prone, they’ll charge over you and you can shoot them in their weak point and basically any weapon can get a quick kill
As a gaming mechanic, since the nursing spewers aren't much of a problem to deal with, I suggest their fog should have a buffing effect towards their fellow terminids like an increase in damage or increase in defense by about 30%. Hence they're nursing the smaller nids to become stronger. And the buff ends at the warrior category. Hive guards and above shouldn't be affected by the buff anymore since they've reached full maturity.
there is a charger variant called the elite (or brute? i forgot) charger, with scarier, bladed looking armor. unsure what the actual stat difference is between the two, as i’ve only seen three in about 70 hours.
It's the behemoth and only shows up on objective chargers on difficulty... 4 I'd like to say? Might be 3. But yeah, I think it's a normal charger statwise but idk, I only ran into one early on and run 5's at the lowest usually. Also Arc Throwers kill chargers and Titans. If slowly.
Scavengers will either take your health down to 3/4 sometimes or 1/2 in one hit (only if you’re wearing light armor for running around looking for Samples)
Chargers die in1 shot to the head from expendable AT or recoilless rifles so that is the best bet for up to "challenging" difficulty where you only have a few at a time. And Shooting the "Bile Titans" tail off seems to disable it's ability to spray acid.
For CHARGERS - throw stratagems on them. Marker will stick and capsule will deal heavy damage to it. There is even an achivment for killing it with supply drop.
Ya as the charger follows you and drops orbital or eagle strike on your head as well. I wouldn't use unless your not detected and have the initiative. Maybe get lucky if you can dodge an attack as he runs past throw one at your feet and run in opposit direction.
A Rail cannon orbital strike will almost 1 shot a BT and is just about guaranteed to hit. That said, I always overcharge and it doesn't take that much longer but does save ammo. But I think you can also knock off it's armor, though I'm not sure where or if it's worth doing. That said, you can definitely avoid fighting them at least all the way up to Impossible if they're not the target. It's just that once they see you they are difficult to lose. The stealth armor helps, and so does smoke, sometimes, though I wouldn't use it. Mushrooms exploding though? Yep. Also, you can make the chargers kill the weaker bugs by charging through them.
I came up against my first bile titan yesterday and was freaking out, put an orbital laser on it and spammed autocannon shots, I killed it in like 5 seconds with adrenaline coursing through my body 😂😂😂
You can blow off both sides of chargers body armor and kill it instantly also. I think it takes 2 shots per side just behind their front legs, center mass
Does the color of the terminid changes anything? I found with my firends a blue variant of the bile spewer with some blue scavenger accompanied her spawned randomly during a mission, i haven't found anything about it online, i've seen the orange and the green variant, although i don't know if it changes something in the characteristics of the creature, but i haven't seen anything about this blue variant
Not sure if this is hard fact, but in my experience the scavengers seem to have a much higher chance than other bugs of calling a breach, so much so that a random patrol has called a breach within 5 seconds on occasion because 1 random scavenger didnt die with the others. Maybe not a problem on low difficulties but is worth noting for when stuff like titans is the norm
the problem i have with shields for Arachnids is that they will swarm you. If you know how to run then the Dog Rover is the best and it will save you ammo. I personally feel like the shield is good for the Automatons.
anti material rifle can destroy the head of any bile spewer in one hit. if you are accurate, you can clear hordes of them with ease with a fairly low level unlock weapon.
Actually, I've seen some video, that if you destroy the belly part of the bile titan, then its HP is reduced roughly by half, so it's definitely not useless.
instead of using the railgun you can use the "single-use-rocket" or however it is called it unlocks very early, it deals massive damage, you can get 2 shots out of it and one shot is allready enough to take the armor off of the leg of a charger, you can take down robotships with one shot as well and it also kills titans with 2 shots to the face, people are sleeping on this one i guess... also if you are learning the game and die all the time this is even better because you can just call it in again in a minute or so ;-)
Arc thrower > railgun any day of the week. Better fire rate Horde clearing Bile titan in 4 shots Consistency comes from practice but you can catch the hang of it pretty quick
Notes: get railgun before attempting suicide and above. I used expendable up to suicide, but now Im getting overwhelmed by the amount of armoured terminids even with the cooldown reduction from samples. Flamethrower is lackluster from what I can tell (may have been nerfed) and autocannon is slow and inconsistent often bouncing off charger legs.
I think the hell pod only one-hit the Bile Titans if you hit the head or other weak spot on the higher difficulty. I had more then one time hitting the Bile Titans with the hell pod, and it will show a hit mark(a hole on the back armor) but not killing it Also the Autocannon Sentry can be very useful if you are only facing a Bile Titans without other small enemy. Because of the hight difference, it will shoot the unarmored part and kill it very fast In some case, given enough distance, Autocannon Sentry could solo kill a Bile Titans
Funniest thingnive seen with charges is two of them.chaseing my buddy around till they came from different directions he dipped out of the way and they head bashed eachother.
i find the spear launcher kind of effective against the titans. I even one shot one of them because the misslie hit the head. And if it hits the back or the sides, my buddy with a railgun just needed one shot into that spot and he was done. Its inconsistent but very quick if it works
Ive actually mannaged to 1 shot bile titans with an overcharge railgun at the perfect angle when standing on a large rock at its head (best to test it on a defensive mission for yourself)
3:39 If you only mean the eagle AIR strike, sure. But since you're just saying strike, potentiall, meaning other eagle strategems as well, I'll correct you a bit. 4 of them land like you described, then there's 3 that will go into the direction you threw. I forget the names, but the cheapest one that just shoots a couple bullets in a line goes the direction you threw the strategem in. Oh and also, no it's NOT always left to right. It can be right to left as well and is seemingly random. Maybe it has to do with the position of my spaceship in the sky, as some strategems depend on that for the angle they come down. But just saying, it's not always left to right.
I thought it was so interesting you say you remember to focus on the right leg of the crusher bc i do the exact same thing but with the left leg. I wonder why we have different preferences

Need to edit the title to reflect that this is not all enemies, only the Terminids. (EDIT: EDIT)
Maybe this post edit but it says uktimate guide terminid
Maybe look at the end of the title

@@agedgouda8809 Aye, uses up a lot of grenades though. There are far better and more economic options!
that stalker lair was giving you some trouble huh? great vid lol
Important things to note:
-When you blow off one of their legs, they’ll do a small charge at you so be ready to dodge.
Best way to make them stationary is to let them charge, dodge, turn around and shoot their leg as they start to rev up their next charge.
incredible like a game that appeared me in an ad now a youtuber that i'm suscribed makes a video about that
It’s almost as if there’s an algorithm.. 😂
Crazy how this video is helping me make a future video I have planned lmaoo
this has some fairly usefull info, a little bit more too, is that shooting the bile titans belly and destroying it will stop a titan being able to use the vomit attack.
18:19 It will only take 2 regular railgun shots in it's open mouth. Just let it come close enough to start it's spitting attack. As the railgun shots stun it, you won't get hit. 2 shots and it's dead.
That’s why it was 2 shots sometimes…! Thx.
serious ??
Concerning Eagle Strike deploy directions: Pretty sure there is some sort of smart-targeting going on, as at least the Strafing Run for sure likes to rather go from the beacon location and into the direction it was thrown in, which is also the direction of the enemies most of the time, so that might be the reason instead of a rigid vector. Additionally, obviously the bomb and the rocket pods don't have a vector at all.
The strafing run is alone in going from the beacon -> forward.
Most of them are perpendicular to the thrower wherever it lands.
The first time i saw a titan i said: what the fuck is that and went ▶️▶️🔼 and it disapeared.
The rail gun stuns the bile titan??
@@agedgouda8809 an unsafe shot to the head will stun. Idk about the safe mode.
@@marxmanw3877 both will stun.
When he did all that work to dodge the charger, and then he pulled the trigger and had to reload, I felt that
Hunters are really cool and the AI is really impressive.
There are also enemies that will bat your grenade back at you if they get the chance!
Thanks man. I'll be waiting for that Automaton video, those hulks are painful. Level 19 so Ive almost got that railgun. Peace
Hitting two hits right in their face with the autocannon drops them, but you do need to line up those two shots, either from the little mailbox slot on the front, or the big went things on the back
One overcharged rail gun hit to the visor and they're gone
The anti-material rifle is actually pretty good against the heavy automaton units. 3-4 shots on the weakspot will kill them.
@@Gekk-rx7nv Thanks guys, Im getting it now. trying to solo Lv6 diff, so many enemies. Peace 😎
Did you say 'EAT this' as you shot it in the mouth?
Good stepping stone for chargers is the Arc Thrower at lvl 15 takes 8-10 shots from any direction
For the charger, the Orbital Precision Strike beacon will stick to his legs, but will bounce off his carapace. If you can toss it on them and get the hell away from it, bye charger.
"Make a mental note to only shoot the right leg" *shows clip of charger with left leg armor blown off*
The orbital rail cannon is amazing for a single charger. Much less so for swarms of chargers.
The Arc throwers works Alton requires several good shots. And also comes with its friendly fire risk.
But if you get I front of everyone you’re good.
An in game bestiary would be great, the terminal across the armory would be perfect
Honestly I think the best eagle stratagem is the airstrike, it "can" kill chargers and titans if you get alittle bit lucky / set up the strafe right (what I have been doing is looking at my feed and turning 90 degrees so the bombing run will go straight down in a line and if you do that vs chargers or bile titans you can actually kill them with it, its alittle bit rng on if you kill them or not but the fact you can with it AND its an amazing wave clearing and bug nest killing machine (its better on killing the robot factors then the bug nests but still good)
Honestly the airstrike is so much better atm then the 500kg, 500kg has such a small aoe for how it looks (you think it would kill everything in the blast but so many times things survive in the visual blast)
I feel one thing that needs to be mentioned is that scavengers can call in breaches if you don’t kill them quickly outside of a breach
Great video but dude 2:43 what in gods living earth is that DIRECTION INPUT SPEED sheeeeeeeesh!
hes locked in
My most hated mobs are the hunters especially when they team up and take turns essentially stun locking you.
Supply drops are really good for chargers at early game. If you hit one with the stratagem it’s guaranteed to hit it
A tip, the "warrior " is slow and easy to kill, but don't let it fool you, IF it gets close to you, it hits stupidly hard.
3:41 Basically the eagle strike and napalm drops its pay load perpendicular to where you toss the marker.
there is a charger variant called the elite (or brute? i forgot) charger, with scarier, bladed looking armor. unsure what the actual stat difference is between the two, as i’ve only seen three in about 70 hours.
Might need a updated version now
Chargers die in1 shot to the head from expendable AT or recoilless rifles so that is the best bet for up to "challenging" difficulty where you only have a few at a time. And Shooting the "Bile Titans" tail off seems to disable it's ability to spray acid.
"Always shoot the charger's right leg." As he shoots it's left leg. -_- Still a great guide
fun fact the unarmored version of the bile spitters seem to be able to heal local insects as well.
THat's why it's called nursing spitter i guess
Keep in mind, the recoil less can one hit a charger with a headshot, fairly easy to do,but it does take some time to reload.
good video, cant wait until illuminate come into play
The Hunters will try and get behind you and attack you from behind just like the Stalker but the Pouncer will just straight up attack you head on
For CHARGERS - throw stratagems on them.
@@Raven5431 drop blue ones. Supply drop is the best. But you can drop any weapon or backpack.
@@GADver no issues with bounces? I'll have to try some support dropping guess.
Best tip for dealing with all enemy types. Reduce the opponents health value to zero before they reduce your health value to zero
The anti-tank disposable rocket also works for destroying the charger's leg armor I use it a lot right now because I'm still level 15.
My go to tip is the Auto Cannon in his weak spot and clear nests and sometimes bigger horde Enemies until i unlock the Railgun
Its funny when you’re soloing two chargers and a titan then another charger decides to get you from your blind spot
Destroying a titans belly disables it's spit attack. Useful for lower levels
the problem i have with shields for Arachnids is that they will swarm you. If you know how to run then the Dog Rover is the best and it will save you ammo. I personally feel like the shield is good for the Automatons.
I was actually surprised when I managed to kill a bile titan with two shots from a recoilless rifle to it’s head.
anti material rifle can destroy the head of any bile spewer in one hit. if you are accurate, you can clear hordes of them with ease with a fairly low level unlock weapon.
I like using the spear against bile titans, usually takes one or two shots from great range
Better fire rate
Horde clearing
Bile titan in 4 shots
Consistency comes from practice but you can catch the hang of it pretty quick
10:37 you can also just follow them back to the nest once they start running away.
A bug type I have seen that you didn't cover is the bile warrior it is the same as a normal warrior it glows green and explodes after death.
Whats that grey helmet you're wearing in most of the clips? Looks cool!
*10:41** would’ve PISSED ME OFF SOO MUCH throwing so many grenades into that nest and they don’t even detonate* 🤣
I had more then one time hitting the Bile Titans with the hell pod, and it will show a hit mark(a hole on the back armor) but not killing it
Also the Autocannon Sentry can be very useful if you are only facing a Bile Titans without other small enemy. Because of the hight difference, it will shoot the unarmored part and kill it very fast
In some case, given enough distance, Autocannon Sentry could solo kill a Bile Titans
There so adorable. These bugs are adorable
I dont think I heard any mention of the armored variant of the charger, is it not well documented or something?
Funniest thingnive seen with charges is two of them.chaseing my buddy around till they came from different directions he dipped out of the way and they head bashed eachother.
also with chargers if you really need you can just throw a resuply on it and it will land on it no matter where it runs
i find the spear launcher kind of effective against the titans. I even one shot one of them because the misslie hit the head. And if it hits the back or the sides, my buddy with a railgun just needed one shot into that spot and he was done. Its inconsistent but very quick if it works
15:06 the anxiety consumed me.
Ive actually mannaged to 1 shot bile titans with an overcharge railgun at the perfect angle when standing on a large rock at its head (best to test it on a defensive mission for yourself)
3:39
If you only mean the eagle AIR strike, sure.
Nade launcher is still good against armored bile spewer
Though taking nade launcher meaning you have nothing to deal with Charger except orbital/eagle
Need a video on your general set up. Are you KBM or Controller, youve made a lot of really precise moves.
it shows keyboard keys on his screen so i assume kbm😊
This game needs to let us get access to hell bombs as actually call ins. Closest thing is the 500kg eagle but imagine “hell bomb eagle”
In conclusion: Railgun is gonna be your bby girl after you hit level 20
I thought it was so interesting you say you remember to focus on the right leg of the crusher bc i do the exact same thing but with the left leg. I wonder why we have different preferences
For chargers I’ll usually shoot it with an anti tank or recoiless rifle to break off the armor and finish it off with my primary gun
… I’m not lvl 20 yet
