This, I really wish people would get over this little hurdle, but humans love taking sides so I guess that's asking too much. I do recognize where the stigma came from, most early dubs were not good with few reaching above amateurish. Regardless that was in the past and there are just as many solid entries as there are horror shows in modern releases. It's all dependent on the project in question and (usually) how much funding it got in the localization. I usually listen to subs but even so I can recognize the art of dubbings quality has increased dramatically in the last decade, but the practice has received a shadow it'll never escape now.
Yuri Lowenthal as Ocarina of Time Link, Johnny Yong Bosch as Twilight Princess Link, Todd Haberkorn as A Link to the Past Link, an' Bryce Papenbrook as Oracle of Seasons an' Oracle of Ages Link. The Link in Ocarina of Time had a 7 year gap (like the Lukes from Tales of the Abyss, Suzaku from Code Geass, AND Simon from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann). The Link in Twilight Princess was both a human AND a wolf (like Kiba from Wolf's Rain).
The Texas based voice actors were practically for free, a lot of them have to hold down a job to make money. The La voice actors make enough to get by because they get cartoon and video game gigs. Alot of upcoming dubs actually have some first time and lesser known voice actors
Luca da Silva More money's able to be made by selling autographs at conventions. Voice-first animation pays union scale and residuals. . anime is a low hourly, mostly non union and pay no residuals. No residuals for video games, too, I'm told. Costs a lot to live in LA. . so it's all a gamble.
Personally for me I enjoy both the Original Japanese and English Dubbed the majority of the time. But when I start watching a new series I always start with the English Dubbed. Now I Love the Original Japanese but I just feel I can get more of bond between me and the characters when they speak a language I understand. Also growing up and watching anime all the SHOWS I saw first before the japanese were always English dubbed. Also I have to say it really depends on the situation as well. For example some shows are dubbed horribly and cheesy and are really censored down because they are being MARKETED for children. Ex One Piece by 4kids andMonster Rancher. But some shows start having crappy/cheesy dubbing and then begin to overcome it. Hell I’m a huge fan of Dragonball Z but when Funi first started dubbing it in the Ginyu and Frieza saga, some lines made you go “what the fuck?”. The Naruto dub was the same way. The first episodes were ehh but when they got to Shippuden and the Ninja Storm games they really pulled it together. And some shows are cheesy and different experiences from the japanese but Ill love them for Nostalgia. Ex. Pokemon and Digimon. But hey I love both for what they are and I can enjoy either anytime of day
JaxBlade Agreed dude. I know so many weeaboo haters who think they are superior to people when they dont even understand japanese. I hate thos bums -_- I also love both but I have to admit i do enjoy a well done dub slightly more.

I literally shouted when they revealed Johnny as number 1! I love him so much. I'm a little sad they didn't mention his role as the number one troll, Izaya Orihara, though.
Absolutely hate her as kid/teen Gohan. I grew up with the orignal Nadolny DBZ sound. I actually got used to a few other changes for Kai, but I stopped watching for that squealy annoying voice.
Vic and Todd are my faves~ And can you blame me? Vic has voiced the son of SATAN for god's sake, and Todd... He voices Natsu. NATSU. Do I have to say anything else? xD
Really lol chicken beard is so talented idk how she can voice act and scream like luffy can she’s so talented and voice acts for the most famous anime ever.
By the son of Satan do u mean Rin okumura? Because he doesn’t voice Rin, Bryce Papenbrook does...but ya, Vic, Todd, j. Micheal, Coleen, Bryce and cherami are a few of my FAV voice actors!😭😭😭
They're great VA's but they don't trump these guys and they were more going for iconic actors too... which is why I don't understand why Bryce wasn't on here
Atharv Koushal Nobody else could pull of that level of stupid and switch gears into the absurd melodrama and outright unfairness of Steins;Gate. Perfect choice.
Vic Mignonga, Todd Haberkorn, Maxey Whitehead, Laura Bailey and Chuck Huber (as well as Roy and Rizas voice actors that I forgot the mnames of and am too lazy to rewind the video for XD) all in the same place is just- Its so beautiful!!
I genuinely cant stop laughing dude! X'D And they are definetly amazing! I listened to Vic argue his faith and now, I fucking hate religion, religious people are fine and can think what they want, but I am a girl of science and evidence, yet listening to Vic argue I was like "Fucking preach it!" Lolz
RAZA 9428 Because of possible allegations of harassment and misconduct at the workplace (particularly Funimation and Rooster Teeth) and at some conventions. Whether it's true or not hasn't been outright confirmed, but many fans are immediately assuming Vic did nothing wrong and don't want to accept the possibility that their idol may have done something wrong. I may not be on the side of "Kick", but I am also not on the side of "Stand", because everything needs to be sorted out first.
@@TMX1138 yeah both sides supporters have been doing foul things in the last couple of months. And I had a netural stance as well until I decided to check out all the recent developments with the case and based off what I've seen, I now believe Vic to be innocent based off all the information that has come out.
L Not everything on the Internet may be true though. Disgruntled fans that make these rants could also be lying, too, just to have their idol gain blind loyalty and blind support. Just saying.
TotallyTaco and let's not forget Steve Blum's most recent role as Acnologia edit: sorry, it was J. Michael Tatum that voices Acnologia, not Steve Blum; but Blum does voice Starscream in Transformers Prime
Has he done anything besides Dragonball? Mojo said they were listing actors who had wide variety of characters. I can't think of anything else Sean has done.
***** youre getting overly defensive here, this is why people hate the anime community, because of hardened keyboard warriors like yourself. I presented MY opinion! now, shut up! get a grip! & piss off!
I mainly watch dubs, as I prefer to understand what people are saying without the need for subtitles, but there were a couple of cases where voice acting was just horrible. For example, I hated the Hellsing dub (though Ultimate was much better), with Crispin Freeman being the only actor who, in my opinion, did well.
Sky Charbonnier Crispin Is my fav VA and got me into English voice actors when I saw my third anime (not Bleach yea thanks Viz XD) The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzamiya, his Kyon nailed it.
I especially liked him in the Xenosaga video games, where he voiced Albedo Piazzolla. An unhinged and immortal murderer, often laughing maniacally with many of his scenes having unsettling pedophiliac undertones, Albedo was also a tragic figure whose already fragile mental health was shattered by some events in his early teens and the realization that his eternal life would mean he would eventually lose all of his loved ones. Crispin Freeman really hit the right notes with this role. He also voiced Albedo's brother Gaignun, who is a calm, gentle businessman. His acting range is quite impressive.

Because they are weeaboo's. At any rate, it's fine to have an opinion. But flaunting them all over the place when they know full well that they will conflict with other's opinions is downright immature.
Ironically... because they don't know Japanese... They don't know what good Japanese voice acting is compared to bad Japanese voice acting. They think it's all amazing no matter how bad it is considered by an actual Japanese native. That blended in with the fact that quite a few hard core anime fans take their love for anime too far and idolize Japan.
Here's my version of this video's Honourable Mentions: Yuri Lowenthal Luci Christian Laura Bailey Greg Ayres Brittney Karbowski Michelle Ruff Stephanie Sheh Sean Schemmel Jason Liebrecht Kyle Hebert Sonny Strait Brina Palencia Kari Wahlgren
I've always loved Greg Ayres, especially on Ouran with Todd Haberkorn. It was probably a lot of work trying to sync up their voices perfectly. It shows a lot of dedication.
I remember Robbie Daymond only making a recent debut.(Akechi and Hubert and all) but awesome VA. I definitely remember Prompto alongside Noct on FFXV too
@@MartRen9828 You NEED to get the Trials of Apollo series on audiobook; he does the narration for those as the sun god Apollo/Lester Papadopoulos...and OMG he's AWESOME in that!
In light of things that have happened, and the amount of new amazing voice actors that have come out since, we should really be given a new update of this!
Wow... a Watchmojo Top 10 Anime list that was actually good... ...though I was hoping Matthew Mercer and Jameison Price would've been on this list somewhere.
Eh, it's not the website, but the voters. The staffers do probably have experience with anime, movies, tv, and video games. But the process of creating a top 10 is decided by voters.
+Steven Choza to be fair, while Jamieson Price is one of my favorites, he doesn't actually have much range. nearly all of his characters are the same voice, or close to it. Vic Mignogna on the other hand you can see range when you compare Ed to Broly from DBZ.
Watching this video now is just painful. Greed and jealousy has created a massive fracture in what was once thought of as something like a family. Even after Vic's name is cleared, and Monica Rial is proven to be a backstabbing charlatan, I'll still be able to appreciate her work. Just like H.P. Lovecraft was a brilliant writer, but an abhorrent human being, many of the Voice Actors in the debacle are talented artists, whose work deserves to yet be enjoyed and judged on it's own merits. Alternatively, swap Monica and Vic's names, but it's not looking likely that we'll get any proof of actual wrongdoing on Vic's end...
Same. It’s just so hard to want to agree with this list now since some of them are some of the biggest fucking scumbugs ever. I use to have so much respect for a lot of them until I found out how fucking garbage human beings they are. Especially ones who weaponize the MeToo movement with false accusations that makes the people they are accusing of get their life destroyed. It could even drive them to suicide when they didn’t do anything. It’s just as bad, if not worse, than a real rapist. What makes false accusations a lot worse than it already is, is that nothing happens to the person that falsely accused somebody.
Same :( sucks that my favorite voice actors (Christopher Sabat, Monica and Sean ) become something not good at all . I appreciate their work but what they did to Vic ..... SIGN
He was great in his Anime projects but these days he is more of a video game voice actor could be a reason he was not mentioned. I don't play many games so I myself still think of Troy as an Anime voice actor Greed in Brootherhood
Bryce Papenbrook, Wendee Lee, Michelle Ruff, Caitlyn Glass, Patrick Seitz, Josh Grelle, Maxey Whitehead, Joel McDonald, Troy Baker, Micah Solusod, and Aaron Dismuke are some of my favorites.
Three of my favorites are highly underrated: Brina Palencia, Eric Vale, and Austin Tindle (doesn't have as many credits as most VA's, but He was fantastic as Ken Kaneki)
I was beyond happy Johnny got number one. I’m also happy that Michael Tatum, and Vic were listed as well. I’m glad I got to see both Vic and Michael and get an autograph from Michael.
Ok, I kind of saw Steven Blum, Todd Haberkorn, Johney Yong Bosch, and Laura Bailey on this list (or in the honorable mentions). However, where's Micah Solusod...?
You missed Brittney Karbowski. She voiced a lot of people. Including.... Mikoto Misaka Wendy Marvell (original, young, and edoles) Black Star (soul eater AND soul eater not) Hitch (attack on titan) Yuri Nakamura (angel beats) Ryou Fujibayashi (clannad)Pride (Full metal alchemist, brotherhood)Selim Bradly (full metal alchemist, brotherhood) Alphonse Elric, young (fullmetal alchemist, ova)Hinako Tsuwabuki (Ouran High School Host Club) Roya (Kiba) Apis (One piece) Mousse (One piece) Yuki (One piece) Klabautermann (One Piece) and a TON more.
I hate when people say that anime dubs changes the original vision of the creator. Ignoring that fact some things don't directly translate through the words themselves, a great part of voice acting is the actors putting a little bit of themselves into it. Don't tell me that 100% of a characters personality comes from the scriptwriter and director. In some shows like Ouran High School Host Club, actors were allowed to do improv. I remember Vic Mignogna said something like it's voice acting, not voice imitation.
To all the people complaining about dubs, do you know how hard it is?! They don't even let you see then lines, until you go in to record and it can be a huge strain on the voice. You also need to match up your lines to the character speaking. So to everyone complaining, could you do any better?
I know someone who dislikes Dubs only because she can not only read and understand Japanese Kanji. Some of the jokes/word play/play on words get lost in translation since only Japanese speakers will get them. I like both Subs and Dubs so her reasoning didn't bother me. However I did just chew out one guy who said that American Dubbers can't convey as much emotion, like really dude?
UltimateMartin You do realize how many native Japanese you're alienating with that comment, right? I, while not disliking dubs, tend to gravitate towards the subs myself, mainly because there are so many badly dubbed anime, Robotech (I was only interested in the Macross portion) being the most cringe-worthy for me. Though, there are some pretty damn good ones. For example, I was VERY impressed with High School of the Dead's English dub. But that's besides the point. I'm sure plenty of people who speak Japanese as their native language will prefer raws or subs over dubs, mainly because they speak the language, not because they are fake fans.
Soulpilot That's why I'm trying to get into it but it's just that I have alot of trouble watching anime while at the same time concentrating on the Subs
I tend to watch the Sub first then watch the dub to see which voices fit the characters better. For example the DBZ voices fit the characters better in my opinion. Bleach is kinda a toss up but I give a slight edge to The Dub and my big Dub love is Ruroni Kenshin.

Woah, almost all of these voice actors voiced a character in FMA Brotherhood! Aside from number 10, 9, 5 and 3, which WatchMojo mentioned the character in FMA Brotherhood of, number 8 and 2 were also in FMA Brotherhood as respectively Alex Louis Armstrong and Ling Yao. This just again goes to show what an amazing anime FMA brotherhood is!
davernrush Well, I disagree. Good voice acting can make a show a lot better. Same as how bad voice acting can totally ruin a show. In FMA:B's case it did really help to take the show to an even higher level in my opinion.
Here are my favourite Anime voice actors: - Patrick Seitz (voiced Germany from Hetalia & DIO in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Anime) - Dan Green (YES, YES, I know he did this for 4K!ds company, but I like his voiceover for Yugi and his counterpart Yami Yugi) - Andrew Chaikin (voiced DIO for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure OVA) - Maile Flanagan (voiced Naruto)
They probably didn't include Maile Flanagan because she is known for only one anime character. She does such a great job with Naruto though that I can't blame you for bringing her up.
you guys forgot to add Durarara to Crispin and Johnny's role list. Crispin Freeman played Shizuo Heiwajima and Johnny Yong Bosch played Izaya Orihara. You gotta remember the badass characters, man!
Agreed. The roles they mentioned for Johnny didn't really show how versatile he can be at all, considering they only mentioned main characters. Even though I'll forever remember him as Lelouch, Ichigo and Vash, he's proven that he doesn't always have to be the big hero. He's more than happy to play jerks like Izaya or monsters like Ryunnosuke (from Fate/Zero).
The girl who dubbed Asuna in SAO and Patty in Soul eater named Cherami Leigh is going to be in a movie with TH-camr Shane Dawson called Not Cool. I felt the need to share this info.
How about Brina Palencia? she has voiced characters like Yuno Gasai from Future Dairy and Juvia from Fairy Tail, just to name a couple. Also Travis Willingham is awesome.
+NoLifeMcFagtastic Love me pls she's actually played some really good JRPG and Anime characters. Her voice overs can be either really deep or high pitched. Very talented

I loved all of these voice actors. Especially Vic Mignogna, J Michael, Todd Haberkorn, Crispin Freeman, and Johnny Yong Bosch. I loved Johnny and Crispin in Durarara as Izaya and Shizuo. They were awesome
Well, I was hoping to find a few comments about people stating their favourite dub voice actor, but predictably it's just a bunch of purists complaining that sub is better. If you idiots hate dubs so much then why did you come to a video titled 'Top 10 Anime Dub Voice-Over Actors on TV'? Do you like people knowing you have absolutely no life?
BioZero 216, ***** I was 100% expecting to be shot down by a purist by now, but so far everyone that's replied has agreed with me. Good work, people. I'm glad we all agree.
I hate when people hate on english dub without even giving it a chance. Alot of the times the english dub is better than the japanese dub, not always sometimes.
@@nolex9804 You mean how Vic ate Monica Rial's jelly bean and made a joke about it, combed Jaime Marchi's hair and hugged each other, and refused to sign a non-canon fan art of yaoi from Hanleia who started it all as a spiteful revenge? That's not justice, Dumbass. They have no solid proof to back up their claims of harrassment other than their fabricated stories and edited photos to frame Vic, and used MeToo as a tool to backstab Vic and target other VAs who stand with him and called them out on their Bullshit like Todd Haberkorn and Johnny Yong Bosch.
Vince Lumontad No, Vic grabbed them forcefully by their hair and whispered creepy shit in their ear. Also neither Todd nor Johnny stood with him. The fuck are you talking about? In various private messages that’ve been leaked, Todd’s made it pretty abundantly clear that he thinks Vic’s a creepy asshole.
I don't restrictively watch dubs because it would limit my options. But, if there's a series I like, I always look forward to re-watching it dubbed once it comes out. Very few english dubs in recent years (excluding Sentai dubs) have been legitimately bad. Voice actors these days are passionate about what they do (well, they kinda have to be since it's both the hardest voice-over job and the one that pays the least) and are well trained. Sure, Japan have a bigger number of VAs and they even have schools that specialize in voice acting, but that's because in a country where 50+ new anime are made every season, and that's not counting video games and other things, having voice actors is obviously more urgent. Long story short, sub vs dub is apples and oranges. American actors and japanese actors have different styles. One of the most annoying complaint is when someone whines about english voices not sounding like the japanese voices. Some disrespectful fanboy once whined, to JYB's face that his Ichigo didn't sound a tiny bit like the japanese version. And don't even get me started on the tired argument that is ''dub actors can't emote'' because they're used to how HAMMY japanese voices always sound. As a side note, am I the only one who likes Johnny Young Bosch better when he voices scumbags? Examples being Ryonosuke from Fate/Zero, Izaya from Durarara and Adachi from Persona 4.
Le Dom I completely agree with you. I have a friend that refuses to watch dubs but at least his reasoning was a bit better. He said that the way things are interpreted sometimes can be different. To which I'd have to say that even the subs probably leave things out as not everything in Japanese can be accurately converted into English. Also, unless it's from a major anime, it's often times fan-subbed. The voice actors (especially the ones with FUNimation, probably one of the biggest English voice dubbing companies) seriously put their all into their work. Anyone that doesn't believe this should watch the behind the scenes videos for Hellsing (they're here on TH-cam). To hear Crispin Freeman talk about his reverence for the anime and Alucard brought tears to my eyes because it's not just a paycheck for him. Some voice actors, a lot of voice actors, really try to envision themselves as that character as much as possible. Maybe after all of that, you still prefer subs and that's completely fine. But never say that they don't work as hard as Japanese voice actors.
Fluffymiyster In fact, I would prefer some English (or of course other language) dubs over "original" language dubs if I were fluent in the language. Animation is meant to be watched, not read. In the words of Miyazaki.
***** Very true :) Sometimes you miss out on experiencing the full show because you're too busy reading subtitles. I read very fast, but it's nice to be able to just sit back and just watch without having to read anything. Adding to that, I can look away from the screen for a moment with a dub and still hear and understand the action. With subs, since I don't speak Japanese (which I'm attempting to learn but my self-studies aren't making a lot of progress), I have to constantly keep my eyes on the screen when characters are speaking or else I'll miss part of the conversation.
Fluffymiyster What I forgot to mention was that some alternate language dubs are in fact done better than the original language dub. That is my meaning by "even if i were fluent in all languages". Another important thing to note is that some works with cultural barriers are something else. Aside from creators bluntly mentioning the spoken language in a fictional world (Eiichiro Oda says that the language spoken in One Piece is English), something like Black Lagoon or Baccano! being mostly English fits better with a specific "alternate dub", English, of course. Arguably, Mongolian Chop Squad is this as well. In the case of Gunslinger Girl, this is Italian. Azumanga Daioh is the opposite. Very tricky. If not localized properly, it cannot work as well or seem as clever in another language. That is to say, it simply does not work, and must be reworked. Because it is strongly language-and-culture oriented. On a lower level of that sort of situation, real-world-based works lose a bit of authenticity when spoken in a different language. This is the other side of the Black Lagoon-esque situation, where an alternate dub is unfitting to the setting. All of these are language-specific to some extent. This can technically be averted with fictional worlds, such as in Dragon Ball or Hunter Hunter, aside from, of course, the real-world terms. I suppose, however, many of, say, the Saiyan puns, or similar jokes, can be localized.
+R Edwards ALRIGHT YOU POOPNOBBLERS Attack on titan abridged should be number one. (If you took offense to that comment, just watch it, it's flipping awesome.

JaxBlade SAME BOAT MAN,
Ditto (or Metamon, take your pick)
I understand you very well ;)
Well said! :)

davy209 it’s purposely missing six
davy209 the person who was sixth didn’t voice act in fma
@Travis Touchdown the anime in the thumbnail is fullmetal alchemist lol
Good to see Vic hasn't been removed from everything he's over gotten credit for
Sabat should, tho
-jk, he might be a shitty person but no one deserves to lose their credit-
I don't think he did it.
Justy Gilberts
Rightfully so. KickVic has NO evidence against him
MurrZen I rewatched this video solely because I knew from seeing it years ago that he got heaps of praise in it lol.
It's kinda amusing that people who dislike dub just come on here to hate. Just goes to show how they have nothing better to do with their life. xD
IKR!.
Right, because hate can be the only reason behind preferring to watch anime in Japanese over English. Go to bed.
Michael Kelm You go to bed Michael. People who watch anime in Japanese or subs always hate on people who watch dubs, like you.
Michael Kelm Nah, he's just pointing out how pretentious solo sub watchers tend to be. Which is exactly how you're sounding.
Michael Kelm But if u prefer dub so much why watch thos go to bed fuckng bender
Bryce Papenbrook is the man! He’s my fav voice actor and Cherami Leigh is the my fav voice actress 😍
You played the Sonic games?
Bryce is the besttt
BRYCE IS NUMBER 1
facts he should be number 1 he does the best voices, every time i hear his voice as the mc i already know the anime is gonna be good
Me too
I literally shouted when they revealed Johnny as number 1! I love him so much. I'm a little sad they didn't mention his role as the number one troll, Izaya Orihara, though.
same i legit screamed. whenever i see a horrible list made by watchmojo i come back to this video to remind myself they can get it right lol
He can play any protagonist I wouldn't be mad ichigo as a voice is the best character in all anime, English and Japanese best voice actors
it's Todd "Fucking" Haberkorn
XD
+Elie Takumine Was that from the SAO bloopers>.>
exactly what I said so happy forgot about his role in my brides a mermaid as Nagesumy
From APH Paint it White Capslock commentary right?
Watanuki Kimihiro Ikr? I loved that Blooper...
*Kirito* : You gotta be kidding me.....HABERKORN
WHERE IS MA BOI SEAN SCHEMMEL, FROM DBZ AS GOKU, HE CAN SCREAM FOR DAYZ
Sean is a good acting. Yes. But the list gives us better actors, m8.
Cryptic Venom im guessing because hes only known for doing goku
burhan ghney Batman from the the dark Knight games and sun wukong.
I KNOW RIGHT DAMN YOU STUPID WATCHMOJO
or justin cook as Yusuke, one of my favorite shounen protagonists.
Colleen Clinkenbeard is perfect for Luffy, Riza, Erza, Teen Gohan❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nintendorak Yamato doesn’t she also voice Momo Yaoyorozu?
Absolutely hate her as kid/teen Gohan. I grew up with the orignal Nadolny DBZ sound. I actually got used to a few other changes for Kai, but I stopped watching for that squealy annoying voice.
She also plays Hana in the anime film wolf children
I love her for all those characters except teen gohan. Stephanie Nadolny was soooo much better. She will always be Kid Goku and Gohan for me.
She's got the third best lungs in the business. Guess who the two above her are?
Me: TODD HABERKORN TODD HABERKORN TODD HABERKORN
*death the kid appears*
YAS
Robin Plunkett You and me too ^-^
Andrea Perez kid kun is my bæ~ >:3
Robin Plunkett Crona's mine >:3
Andrea Perez kk X3 things would've turned ugly if u liked kid as well >:3 *aggressive yandere noises*
Robin Plunkett Kid is my third favorite
Vic and Todd are my faves~
And can you blame me? Vic has voiced the son of SATAN for god's sake, and Todd... He voices Natsu. NATSU. Do I have to say anything else? xD
just some fucking weeb: Who’s the “son of Satan”?
just some fucking weeb Fairytale is overrated
Really lol chicken beard is so talented idk how she can voice act and scream like luffy can she’s so talented and voice acts for the most famous anime ever.
Oh he does. I knew he voiced Hikaru tho
By the son of Satan do u mean Rin okumura? Because he doesn’t voice Rin, Bryce Papenbrook does...but ya, Vic, Todd, j. Micheal, Coleen, Bryce and cherami are a few of my FAV voice actors!😭😭😭
No Caitlin Glass? Not even cherami leigh?
Cherami Leigh deserves to be here
whatever edits Maybe for a Redux version of the list.
They're great VA's but they don't trump these guys and they were more going for iconic actors too... which is why I don't understand why Bryce wasn't on here
Not even sean schemmel!?
Ben Disken
I'm a simple person, I see Fullmetal Alchemist, I click
If J. Michael Tatum is not in this list, I'm getting a sledgehammer and breaking my phone. He is the king of anime voice acting.
Looks like my phone is surviving another watchmojo list.
they didnt mention him as erwin smith in attack on titan
ilovefood or okabe from steins gate which I think he is the best in
TheBigBean IsMean havent seen steins; gate yet but i’ll check it out!
Man, you guys love FMA Brotherhood. Who doesnt though?
You don't even need to be into Anime to like that show.
Birdie Wolf I know right! But they leave us on a cliffhanger in Netflix. **sobbing**
Lilyanna A. Grenade
Lel, not in Britain. Now, little boy, change that DNS code on your console/pc or whatever.
my mom
AwesomeDude110 Calling police for child abuse. brb
Todd Haberkorn 👌
Agreed
I love him (but they didn't say how he voiced Haru🐬)
totally
All the way yes
ryann valerie ikr hes the best
Some voices from Fairy Tail
1:23 Colleen Clinkenbeard - Erza Scarlet
2:16 Christopher Sabat - Elfman Strauss
4:54 Monica Rial - Mira Jane Strauss & Plue (One of Lucy’s spirits)
7:27 (my fav) Todd Haberkorn - Natsu Dragneel
8:39 Brina Palencia - Juvia Lockser
6:24 Vic Mignogna - Mard Geer Tartaros
Monica is a Liar
@@Alex-yr8iy we know.Everyone knows that she is a bitch and sad that almost all her voices are sweet people
J.Michael Tatum does all the SEXY roles! I always knew Kyoya was the reincarnation of Sebastian
Who says they aren't the same person? What if kyoya is a demon and he has a contact with Tamaki?
Savannah Harris Oh my god YESSSSSS!
The mad scientist Hououin KyoumaaaaAAAaa
Yasmin Eve-Townsend Then there's Scar
Atharv Koushal Nobody else could pull of that level of stupid and switch gears into the absurd melodrama and outright unfairness of Steins;Gate. Perfect choice.
I just finished watching full metal alchemist and I agree. The voice actors are pretty amazing...
+Clarice “C BERRIE 202” Berrie wanna get married? I think I'm in love with your words
Lmao wanna know who's words are even more beautiful? Any words from the mouths of these wonderful people
Clarice Berrie you are senpai and you are right. They're so beautiful *tears up*
I genuinely cant stop laughing dude! X'D
And they are definetly amazing! I listened to Vic argue his faith and now, I fucking hate religion, religious people are fine and can think what they want, but I am a girl of science and evidence, yet listening to Vic argue I was like "Fucking preach it!" Lolz
1:48, she also plays Erza Scarlet in Fairy Tail.
As well as Yuuko from xxxHolic
I love fairy tail
I LOVE ERZA SO MUCH AIIIEEE~!!!! ERZA SENPAAIIIIII~!!!!!
IKR, WHY DIDN'T THEY MENTION ERZA AS ONE OF HER BIG ROLES?
+Chantae Guzman IKR LIKE WTH
It sucks that Vic Mignogna got fired
Yellow Flame Gaulent how come?
RAZA 9428 Because of possible allegations of harassment and misconduct at the workplace (particularly Funimation and Rooster Teeth) and at some conventions. Whether it's true or not hasn't been outright confirmed, but many fans are immediately assuming Vic did nothing wrong and don't want to accept the possibility that their idol may have done something wrong. I may not be on the side of "Kick", but I am also not on the side of "Stand", because everything needs to be sorted out first.
TMX1138 oh ok, thanks for telling me!
You forgot to mention Colleen's role as Erza from Fairy Tail
Also Cherami Leigh, Brittney Karbowski, Austin Tindle, and Jād Saxton should've been on this list
TotallyTaco I love Austin Tindle
TotallyTaco or Monica's role as Mirajane Strauss
TotallyTaco and let's not forget Steve Blum's most recent role as Acnologia
edit: sorry, it was J. Michael Tatum that voices Acnologia, not Steve Blum; but Blum does voice Starscream in Transformers Prime
They also forgot greg ayres
I cannot believe that Sean Shemmel wasn't even an honorable mention. He provided the most iconic voices as Goku and King Kai.
I thought the VA in DBZ & DragonBall was JUST horrible, it was cringe inducing to the MAX! i couldnt watch it, bad VAs ruin shit.
Has he done anything besides Dragonball? Mojo said they were listing actors who had wide variety of characters. I can't think of anything else Sean has done.
***** we must be the group with a pair of ears then....
***** youre getting overly defensive here, this is why people hate the anime community, because of hardened keyboard warriors like yourself. I presented MY opinion! now, shut up! get a grip! & piss off!
***** lol, get owned.
True fans don't whine about dubs and subs, true fans watch whatever version they like while respecting the other version.
Well said. If only all anime fans thought the same way you and I did.
Aye sir!
I agree with this comment.
well said my good sir!!
Just expected Todd Haberkorn up there
Same. Especially now he's in some Watchmojo videos.
Link in Zeldamotion: A Link to the Past was voiced by Todd. So yeah.
His voice acting in the edolas ark of fairy tail was just amazing also Wendy and gajeels voice actors are good too
Crispin Freeman's voice makes my spine shiver with pleasure. Dub all the way if he's in it!
Sky Charbonnier Crispin Freeman's voice gives me life
Sky Charbonnier Crispin Is my fav VA and got me into English voice actors when I saw my third anime (not Bleach yea thanks Viz XD) The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzamiya, his Kyon nailed it.
Hell yes
Todd H. also voiced Ling Yao. :)
Yes, he did it good and funny to!
And death the kid
And sugou from sao
TODD HABERKORN IS A BOSS
Yes
+Jazmine Shin preach
Yes I am in love with his ability!
I wanted to see Ling Yao ;-;
Yes! Yes! Yes!
I'm so disappointed that Matthew Mercer and Bryce papenbrook weren't on this list, I'm hoping those two will be end up in another top 10 list
@Getting Fairest Matthew Mercer had already voiced Jotaro,Levi,Leorio,Law,Sinbad and Pain before this vid came out. Trust me He was big
I remember Johnny Yong Bosch for Johnathan Joestar from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure more than anything :D
How bout Bryce Papenbrook?
It's TRUE though
anisins begs to differ
@Wolie Using his arms to block...
RIP Alex of Anisins
He is the King of Edgy, I agree
Meliodas, Kirito, etc
Pain's voice actor should have been on the list with the Godly voice.
Wasn't he voiced by Vic Mignogna?
Deadrift89 no. He was voiced by Troy Baker. The voice actor for the second incarnation of Greed from FMAB.
Troy is mostly into video games, so makes sense why he isn't here
Kamui*sensei honestly Madara’s voice actor should’ve been on
Deadrift89 Vic voiced Nagato
johnny and vic are definitely my fav! their voices are so unique and attractive ❤

Do top 10 worst anime dub voice-overs!
Honestly every anime I've watched I always notice Monica Rial & Colleen's voice.
Why do so many people here hate dubbed anime with a passion? I don't understand it.
Because they are weeaboo's. At any rate, it's fine to have an opinion. But flaunting them all over the place when they know full well that they will conflict with other's opinions is downright immature.
Dub haters are idiots. Complete morons. They belong in the stupid community not the anime community
Because they are elitist idiots who see themselves as "pure" anime fans because they like the "original"
Because they're morons who wouldn't know good VAing if it hit them square in the jaw.
Here's my version of this video's Honourable Mentions:
Yuri Lowenthal
Luci Christian
Laura Bailey
Greg Ayres
Brittney Karbowski
Michelle Ruff
Stephanie Sheh
Sean Schemmel
Jason Liebrecht
Kyle Hebert
Sonny Strait
Brina Palencia
Kari Wahlgren
Where is Cherami Leigh????
she still pretty new voice actor but she a very nice people too
koromo amae yeah i love her voice for Lucy and Asuna
Hiba Zahir Ikr!!
Right!!
Ikr
I've always loved Greg Ayres, especially on Ouran with Todd Haberkorn. It was probably a lot of work trying to sync up their voices perfectly. It shows a lot of dedication.
Greg Ayres is underrated he does a pretty good job at voice acting.
he is so skilled at voicing younger characters.
You forgot Stephanie Sheh, Cristina Vee, Robbie Daymond...
Yass Vee is an excellent VA
R Edwards
Indeed.
R Edwards
As am I.
Eh, it's not the website, but the voters. The staffers do probably have experience with anime, movies, tv, and video games. But the process of creating a top 10 is decided by voters.
+R Edwards That's just the kind of thing voters WOULD be. Such bi's.
+Steven Choza to be fair, while Jamieson Price is one of my favorites, he doesn't actually have much range. nearly all of his characters are the same voice, or close to it. Vic Mignogna on the other hand you can see range when you compare Ed to Broly from DBZ.
Johnny, Todd and Vic are fuckin LEGENDS.
Nobody's mentioning Crispin's amaaazing portrayal of Kyon from Haruhi Suzimiya!! His dry, deadpan humour is brilliant.
+Sandra Karr Yes! Oh that epiphany in the movie was oh so godly that I think that it's better than the Japanese dub.
+Sandra Karr maybe it was because his performance didn't really trump the Japanese counterpart
+Sandra Karr He also played Zelgadis on Slayers
he also played as Shizuo Heiwajima from Durarara
+Sandra Karr to under the radar for watchmojo
SIGN
I love Todd Haberkorns voice 😍😍😍😍
Because your username is..
I see what you did there
Ah I see
So Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham ,but no Troy Baker or Matt Mercer?
He was great in his Anime projects but these days he is more of a video game voice actor could be a reason he was not mentioned. I don't play many games so I myself still think of Troy as an Anime voice actor Greed in Brootherhood
I wanna say someone like Tara Strong, but I dunno how much Anime she voiced in, either.
I think she only does western cartoons.
Tara has only done Hello Kitty as far as Anime goes
Troy actually has credits in various Anime unlike Tara
She's done Japanese video games like Metal Gear though, which is why I was unsure.
Bryce Papenbrook, Wendee Lee, Michelle Ruff, Caitlyn Glass, Patrick Seitz, Josh Grelle, Maxey Whitehead, Joel McDonald, Troy Baker, Micah Solusod, and Aaron Dismuke are some of my favorites.
I like your taste in Voice Actors.
Yep. Definitely. And Sonny Straight.
I'd thought sabat would be number 1:(
Don't forget Yuri Lowenthal.
Micah Solusod and Joel McDonald voice characters in my favorite anime! (Space Dandy)
Three of my favorites are highly underrated: Brina Palencia, Eric Vale, and Austin Tindle (doesn't have as many credits as most VA's, but He was fantastic as Ken Kaneki)
McToddyHaberkorn best voice actor and man there will ever be in funamation
Funimation*
Yep
Ani Evans So True!
so true
Ani Evans yep deco in fairy tail
Definitely Brina Palencia, it's hard for a girl to pull off a male characters voice, props to her, she's awesome!
She nailed it as the Kinoshita Twins from Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts
YAY I LOVE VIC AND BRINA AND TODD AND LUCI BUT WHERES CAITLIN GLASS
HollyIsNotSocial ikr
She deserves credit for her work!
Me too!
#IStandWithVic!
Mikoto Misaka
Wendy Marvell (original, young, and edoles)
Black Star (soul eater AND soul eater not)
Hitch (attack on titan)
Yuri Nakamura (angel beats)
Ryou Fujibayashi (clannad)Pride (Full metal alchemist, brotherhood)Selim Bradly (full metal alchemist, brotherhood)
Alphonse Elric, young (fullmetal alchemist, ova)Hinako Tsuwabuki (Ouran High School Host Club)
Roya (Kiba)
Apis (One piece)
Mousse (One piece)
Yuki (One piece)
Klabautermann (One Piece)
and a TON more.
ikarus (Heaven's lost property)
Katsuragi (senran Kagura)
Eve Neuschwanstein (Needless)
I hate when people say that anime dubs changes the original vision of the creator. Ignoring that fact some things don't directly translate through the words themselves, a great part of voice acting is the actors putting a little bit of themselves into it.
Don't tell me that 100% of a characters personality comes from the scriptwriter and director. In some shows like Ouran High School Host Club, actors were allowed to do improv. I remember Vic Mignogna said something like it's voice acting, not voice imitation.
Besides, not everything Japanese translates very well when translated word for word. Changing things up keeps things interesting.
on top of that subs are not 100% accurate
its best just to lean Japanese lol
Todd Haberkorn's voice is like zuko's voice. its extremely hard to imitate it.
so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love it!
jesus christ now i can't watch one piece without thinking Luffy is Riza Hawkeye
To all the people complaining about dubs, do you know how hard it is?! They don't even let you see then lines, until you go in to record and it can be a huge strain on the voice. You also need to match up your lines to the character speaking. So to everyone complaining, could you do any better?
Dub haters are fake anime fans
Not talking about people who prefer subs over dubs. I'm talking about those who insult dubs and anyone who likes watching dubs.
i love dub and didnt complain abut it but i think i could do it... but then again ive been practicing a lot since a few years back
I'm probably the only nerd in existence that prefers dubs to subs. Yeah, it's cheesy, but you can expect a bit of cheese on that toast.
***** don't worry your not the only one lot of people feel that way.
Trust me. I Can not stand Subs. I'm trying to get into them because most of my friends hate me for it XD but it's gonna take a while...
Nothing wrong with that, but the are some amazing anime out there that are not dubbed. If you can adapt to the subs its so worth it.
Soulpilot
That's why I'm trying to get into it but it's just that I have alot of trouble watching anime while at the same time concentrating on the Subs
I tend to watch the Sub first then watch the dub to see which voices fit the characters better. For example the DBZ voices fit the characters better in my opinion. Bleach is kinda a toss up but I give a slight edge to The Dub and my big Dub love is Ruroni Kenshin.
Johnny Yong Bosch is my fave. Glad he's #1. Also love Steve Blum and all the VA cast from FMA. Good list.
Mustang: And when I become Fuhrer, There will be changes! That day, all female officers will be required to wear TINY MINISKIRTS!
Havoc: Your a miracle Mustang! I'll follow you for the rest of my life!
Mustang: Yes!
That and "I loooveee doooggsss!" were his two biggest mistakes. No fan will ever let him forget those lines. No fan ever...
Every time he hears someone say that line or is asked to say that line, he always cringes. Poor guy.
Aznponie12 Even if you're not a fan and you hear those lines, you'll never forget them.
FUCK YES JOHNNY YONG BOSCH!
He's in my top 10
YES. HETALIA FINALLY MADE IT INTO AN EPISODE! I'm pretty sure I can die happy now.

What did you expect FMA:B is one of the best anime of all time...and the dub wasn't horrible either
It's on the list cus there aren't that many shows out there with voice acting that great. It has nothing to do with how good the show is
davernrush Well, I disagree. Good voice acting can make a show a lot better. Same as how bad voice acting can totally ruin a show. In FMA:B's case it did really help to take the show to an even higher level in my opinion.
Bobby Jones
Why so aggressive?
JustAGuy247 try great teacher onizuka. acting so bad it is just fantastic. and funny as all hell :)
Here are my favourite Anime voice actors:
- Patrick Seitz (voiced Germany from Hetalia & DIO in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Anime)
- Dan Green (YES, YES, I know he did this for 4K!ds company, but I like his voiceover for Yugi and his counterpart Yami Yugi)
- Andrew Chaikin (voiced DIO for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure OVA)
- Maile Flanagan (voiced Naruto)
i totally agree on patrick seitz. they could've at least made him an honorable mention
I completely agree! I was expecting to see both of them in this video but neither showed :(
ikr? They're both awesome characters in an equally awesome anime.
Btw, I MET Vic Mignogna, Todd Haberkorn, and (sorta) Crispin Freeman just last year.
...on my 18th birthday.... at Otakon... which my first time being at an anime convention...
Are we gonna forget the fact that Vic Mignona has godly lungs for voicing Broly?!
& Where's Justin Cook?!
Vic Mignogna: "AAAH! MY POOR VOCAL CHORDS!"
Also Sabo from One Piece
There was a Todd Haberkorn joke in the Sword Art Online season one bloopers
Was he a character in Sao (the episodes after episode 14)?
He's also Ayato from Tokyo Ghoul
Todd played Oberon.
adoptedmoth Speaking of SAO, why wasn't Bryce Papenbrook at least an honorable mention!?
The girl who dubbed Asuna in SAO and Patty in Soul eater named Cherami Leigh is going to be in a movie with TH-camr Shane Dawson called Not Cool. I felt the need to share this info.
What?!
Cherami Leigh is so cool! She's also going to be the new voice of Minako Aino/Sailor Venus.
Wow that's cool
How about Brina Palencia? she has voiced characters like Yuno Gasai from Future Dairy and Juvia from Fairy Tail, just to name a couple.
Also Travis Willingham is awesome.
Oh my god. She IS Juvia. Can't believe it took so long to find that out...
And Touka from Tokyo Ghoul.
I agree, Brina should totally be on the list! :)
Yuno and tohka she needs to be on here
I love how Vic is higher on the list than Sabat
Geeky Nerdy That’s why Sabat fired Vic. Sabat is a jealous fuckface.
I felt that Laura Bailey should've been on the list and not Just an honorable mention
+ThePokefreak98 Seriously! I only clicked this list thinking she'd be the top!
+NoLifeMcFagtastic Love me pls I know her from voicing Amber from RWBY
+NoLifeMcFagtastic Love me pls she's actually played some really good JRPG and Anime characters. Her voice overs can be either really deep or high pitched. Very talented
+NoLifeMcFagtastic Love me pls
I know her from Fruits Basket as Tohru Honda. It's supposedly one of her most famous roles.
+ThePokefreak98 She is in sooooooooo many good animes and games. She deserves at least top 3!!! I also enjoy Brittany Karbowski too tho
Okay, I know that this is viewer-voted content.
HOW THE ACTUAL HELL ARE YURI LOWENTHAL AND LAURA BAILEY HONORABLE MENTIONS, HOW IS J. MICHAEL TATUM ONLY NUMBER SEVEN AND...
*WHY THE ACTUAL HELL IS VIC MIGNOGNA, GOD AMONG VOICE ACTORS, AT ONLY NUMBER THREE!?*
YOU VOTERS ARE CRAZY. WHYYYYYYY WOULD YOU DO THIS!?
Also why wasn't Bryce Papenbrook mentioned? Tsk tsk other voters. Step up your game.
Or Catelin Glass? She's done some amazing work as well!!
ShortLived86 Overrated? He voiced hundreds of video games and Ben 10,along with Sasuke Uchiha. Not to mention many other shows.

One of my favorite kids anime has Johnny Youg Bosch, Todd Haberkorn, Crispin Freeman, Yuri Lowenthal and Bryce Papenbrook as main characters. The show is Tenkai Knights
TRUUE
THE PEOPLE IN FMAB ARE REALLY GOOD
Skinner The Stealth Wizard It's been back on for a while.
Just another Role player *ahem* www.watchdub.com/english-dubbed/fullmetal-alchemist-brotherhood/ You'll thank me later since you can watch all episodes for free. I'm sure you can find a "sub" version if dub isn't your thing.
Just another Role player it's still on there
Joe Devaney Do they have all the episodes? Last time I tried to watch Brotherhood on Netflix they only had up to around the part where they fought sloth.
also, not bad that Johnny's first anime role was Vash. he was great then and he just keeps getting better
I loved all of these voice actors. Especially Vic Mignogna, J Michael, Todd Haberkorn, Crispin Freeman, and Johnny Yong Bosch. I loved Johnny and Crispin in Durarara as Izaya and Shizuo. They were awesome
YUSH
If Billy Kametz were still here, he would have been on the next list of top 10 voice actors because he was AMAZING!!
They're just retards who wouldn't even be able to understand anything about what's going on without the subtitles.
People are idiots.
What do you expect from sub elitists? They're only purpose is to piss pff true anime fans who give respect to VA's.
BioZero 216, ***** I was 100% expecting to be shot down by a purist by now, but so far everyone that's replied has agreed with me. Good work, people. I'm glad we all agree.
i grew up to dubs and am a big fan of voice acting. But the new attack on titan dub though.... -cringes-
Can't wait for the dubs vs subs debate in the comments.
Bring out the popcorn because it's already starting!
Can I watch too?
You spoke too soon =_=
I hate when people hate on english dub without even giving it a chance. Alot of the times the english dub is better than the japanese dub, not always sometimes.
Vic micnogna is the best voice actor along with mail flanagan
Senku Ishigami This comment sure didn’t age well.
Vic is still the best actor compared to the scumbag backstabbing VAs these days
Vince Lumontad They spoke up about how he harassed them. That’s not backstabbing, that’s justice. Dumbass.
In various private messages that’ve been leaked, Todd’s made it pretty abundantly clear that he thinks Vic’s a creepy asshole.
favorite voice actors are J. Micheal Tatum and Todd Haberkorn.
yess
Yep
Shelby Nicole exactly
Shelby Nicole Hell yeah!
Shelby Nicole agreed!
Le Dom ^THIS
Le Dom I completely agree with you.
*****
Very true :) Sometimes you miss out on experiencing the full show because you're too busy reading subtitles.
I'm still waiting for the day that a "Top 10 Abridged Anime Series" list is done
Pleease!!!
+R Edwards ALRIGHT YOU POOPNOBBLERS
Attack on titan abridged should be number one.
(If you took offense to that comment, just watch it, it's flipping awesome.
R Edwards We need an episode 2 :P
R Edwards Yeah!
What about SAO abridged? I am pretty damn sure it trumps all.
+Oshawott 9874 It may not be as prolific, but SAO Abridged is just plain genius!
Crispin Freeman, and Travis Willingham's voices just give me chills😍😍 ugh...
