This level crossing is situated on the Upfield Line, and is part of a series of level crossings that run through the suburb of Parkville and Brunswick in this straight section of the rail corridor. This crossing is adjacent to Brunswick Station.
The crossing equipment used consists of:
- Westinghouse Incandescent and LED Lights
- Westinghouse Crossarms
- General Signals Type 3 E-Bells
- Siemens Boom Gate Mechanisms
- 2 Unmarked Bases
This crossing has been listed on the Victorian Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), with it, along with all the other crossings on this corridor (From Park St to Albion St), being removed by means of a elevated rail corridor (Skyrail). This is set to be completed by 2027.
