This scene is so incredibly touching, and the sound track really amplifies it. While the official track isn’t out yet, I believe it’s a reprise of the songs ‘the first lie/the first I love you’ which are always used during professions of love in the series (Jonathan and Nancy kissing for the first time, Robin coming out to Steve and him supporting her bc he loves her for who she is, Eleven and Mike saying I love you for the first time). And what better way to show someone you love them than to fly to russia and break them out of a prison? I presume this song will probably have ‘the first’ in its name when the soundtrack comes out to follow the trend, but we’ll see. These two deserve the world, all I wanna see is them on a date finally

This was a very touching scene. I must admit that this "russian" arc was what got me very hooked up to this season. One last thing: if dmitri dies but yuri manages to survive in some way, i will lose my shit for real.

Masterful acting here. At 37, I've always loved me some Winona Ryder. Ever since Mermaids. This show just made me love her even more. She's aging like the finest wine, and her acting just always hits the mark. This moment here was breathtaking from the moment you see her eyes. She looked so hurt because she thought he was dead before she even knew he was alive, then you see the love, the relief, the embrace. Hops eyes as he embraces her hesitantly. Like he can't believe that this human really loves him that much that she would go through hell to save him from the fire. This moment was perfection and had me in tears. I'm not a relationship person, but deep down, I think we all desire and deserve this moment, and if you already have had this moment, never forget it. Magical scene.

This scene, the Hopper/Eleven reunion, Eddie the hero, and Murray with the flamethrower were among the best scenes in Season 4, and of the whole series.
I love the parallels between this scene and El/Mike reuniting in season 2. Hopper with his fists raised ready to fight looks a lot like when Eleven walked into Joyce’s house ready to throw hands, then the look of being completely disarmed by what was in front of them. Amazing!!!
I mean she came all the way from America to Russia to save him. That takes immense hope and love!
Not to mention she is a single mum so the risks are even bigger if something would happen.
