      I also remember where I live in Middlesbrough (smoggy land) that , the council used to put skips (dumpsters) out all over the estates for your unwanted stuff
      now " if you have a three piece suite or a mattress " wardrobe etc etc to get rid of
      you have got a phone the council up , and pay £15

      I’ve lived here in Manchester 21 years and while Piccadilly Gardens was bad then, it has got far worse now, with open drug dealing going on at 12 midday all the time, the first I heard of this was when I was chatting to a lady in the City Centre, as she’d been terrified after being approached by a drug dealer offering her drugs when passing through the Gardens - I’ve seen photos of the Gardens from the 1950’s and there is simply no excuse why it has become the way it is now - they need to deploy armed officers and military down there on a permanent basis and they need to impose the death penalty for drug dealing, drug trafficking and drug smuggling offences, as dealing in drugs is dealing in death

    I don't know why police want Charlie to move away because the alleged criminal in handcuffs is getting arsey. I would have thought the police would like it because it means they can add on resisting arrest to the charges.

    There needs to be a routinely and visibly armed police presence in Piccadilly Gardens and in all other areas of the City Centre at all times, with support from the military, deployed as required - just like in the aftermath of the riots a few years ago, any offenders must be dealt with far more harshly by the courts if the offence is committed in the City Centre - drug trafficking and drug dealing must carry a sentence of at least 20 years to life without parole and without credits for time spent on remand nor for good behaviour (personally I’d like to see the death penalty for such offences) - if this situation gets any worse, the military will have to be permanently deployed and the City Centre will have to be governed by Military Law, where armed Military Police will have to be deployed on a permanent basis

    • @goodyeoman4534
      @goodyeoman4534 ปีที่แล้ว

      Armed police won't do anything as no one's going to get shot for dealing drugs. Regular patrols and courts that will actually prosecute is enough.

    This is where the police tactics with suspects once arrested falls down every time, where a “no nonsense” approach is always needed - once suspects start mouthing off and spouting their nonsense, they need to be told (firmly) to “pack it in” and if they don’t, a good sharp slap to the back of the legs with a baton or a taser will make them be silent - at all times, policing needs to be determined, resolutely firm and uncompromising, applying ultra strict discipline (which is clearly required in all cases) to raise their standards of behaviour to acceptable levels
