I also felt that Sam “Samwise” perfectly shows how Jesus will accompany us the believer (Frodo) through our journey to overcome sin. Sam is the friend who sticks closer than a brother, he is there to pick us up when we stumble and help prevent us from giving into temptation and even when we fell, Jesus took up our sins and bore the burden, he cannot complete the journey for us but he can help us get there! And even in the end when give into our desires and we have fallen from his grace, in the end he still reaches out his hand for us to come back to him like Sam did for Frodo after the ring fell along with Gollum. Truly lord of the rings is a master class in storytelling able to preach such a powerful message with subtly and originality! He’s not trying to rewrite the Bible but incorporate its themes into his own story.
I think it would be interesting to talking about the music of the ainur, ardar marred, Melkor, the valar, the dagor dagorath and finally the second music of the ainur
They set out from Rivenhall on December 25th and destroyed the ring on March 25th which was thought to be the date of Christs crucifixion in The Medieval Golden Legend hagiographies.
Oh, I like that about Cain and Abel. That's a great catch. I forget Goldberry (I can infer from your connectino to Eve), because I haven't read through the books in a decade. Time to brush up.

Christian Bale is Orthodox.
More please! Smeagol and Deagol are Cain and Abel. Goldberry and Tom Bombadil are Adam and Eve

Also Sauron is basically Lucifer, a fallen angel who seeks to gain power and destroy what is good.
