First time I've found you and watching from Brisbane Australia. And OMG I have been searching TH-cam for a video that gives you a good result when using this hybrid folder. I bought it and haven't had great results and have been frustrated. The impressions haven't been crisp at all. This is the first time I've seen the blending brushes being used and by the looks of your pieces they are nice and even and don't go into the low spots below. I so have to try this. Thank you so much for the video.
Thanks for watching, I am glad you found me. The blending brushes are the best for this technique for sure as I haven’t had much success when using the brayer.
I have to tell you, I have tried different ways to get a good stamped image. The blending brush works the best of everything I have tried. Thank you for great advice!
Thank you for the demo! I've been frustrated trying to run the embossing folder alone through my Big Shot. What sandwich did you use? I noticed a gray (silicone?) shim.
Hi, thanks for watching. I used the Stampin’Up Cut n Emboss machine. The sandwich is : base Plate - embossing folder then plate # 4 (grey)I didn’t use a silicone piece. Hope this helps.
thanks for your video. I have had nothing but trouble getting all the pieces to come out, especially the words on the top and bottom. I have used different shims, 2 exactly and that helped some, but still not all the pieces come out. I have the Big Shot Plus. I don’t know if it’s defective or just doesn’t work well with my electric machine. I even ran it through a couple of times. Disappointed😢
Sorry to hear you are having problems with the die. I have the Stampin’Up Cut & Embossing Machine and it works no problem. Did you try cutting it face down? Maybe you should contact Stampin up’s customer service as it be defective. ds@stampinup.com
