Thanks for the feedback, MasterWriter is available for $9.95 per month, $99.95 per year or $149.95 for a 2-year license. Let us know if you have any other questions.
You are commenting in the creative writer version, but we actually have a songwriter version which pertains to your questions more. Here is the tutorial th-cam.com/video/C2u6Gy0cvg4/w-d-xo.html&t MasterWriter is a lyrics based program and will not develop melodies or chord progressions, but it does have the ability to record. Not sure what you mean by save features, but please contact support@masterwriter.com for answers to your questions.
Don't be concerned, we will never call you. It's very common to collect phone number when collecting billing info, I'm surprised that the other products you are ordering do not request this. That said, I assure you that you will never get a call or text from us. I hope that helps, please contact us at info@masterwriter.com if you need further assistance.
I'm a screenwriter and just purchased. It's not an App and doesn't link up to Final Draft or anything. You access it through the web (btw, this demo doesn't do a great job of showing how a writer actually uses it). At any rate, It's like a really good dictionary and thesaurus geared for writers.
It's a tool for writers of all mediums, styles and genres. It's a collection of reference dictionaries that works smartly alongside your compositions. It has nothing to do with the type of script you're writing. All writers can benefit from the plethora of information available in an instant.
I just purchased the 2 year plan because there was a huge discount going on but I'm a little confused. Do I have to buy 2 seperate versions for songwriting and creative writing because they "PROJECTS" section says only "SONGS" or "new Song" not project.
It sounds like you purchased the wrong version. There would be no reason to purchase both, but unfortunately, we cannot look you based on your youtube username. Please email support@masterwriter.com so that we can locate your order and address this. Thanks.
@@MasterWriterSoftware I didn't purchase the wrong version I wanted it for songwriting but I thought there was only 1 version that encompassed them both as I also want to write fiction as well
@@VaVaLoo The differences between the versions are negligible, they share the same dictionaries, either version can really be used to write anything. The only notable differences is that the Info page on the SW version has many fields that would be applicable to tracking information related to a song. It sounds like you have the correct version considering you will be using it for both songwriting and creative writing.
You can use Word alongside MasterWriter's dictionaries. Just resize your browser window and place it next to Word. Just to be clear though, you can't access MasterWriter from within Word because it's a web-based application. Think of it like having two different applications open at once, Word and a Dictionary app. You are free to copy and paste text back and forth between the two.
Unfortunately, we are still in the midst of reprogramming this version. Since the size is between a 13" and iPhone, we've run into some real estate issues. We are sorry for the current inconvenience. This is a top priority to get the iPad version up to date.
Yes, you can use it with any writing app. Just use it in the "Dictionaries" mode as shown in the video. You can then resize it and use it alongside your favorite writing app. However, it doesn't integrate inside of Google Docs.
I am flabbergasted! If you need software to come up with "scorching sun" and "breathtakingly beautiful", then you have no business in creative writing whatsoever.
Serchingthetruth, While we appreciate you taking the time to comment on MasterWriter, we do not agree. Some of the finest writers use a Thesaurus not to teach them descriptive words but to remind them of all the possibilities they already know. No matter how good your memory is, it is impossible to remember all of the possibilities. Even should you try, distraction is the enemy of creation. In addition to our Thesaurus, MasterWriter’s Word Families gives you choices for hot that you will not find in a Thesaurus, like an angry, glaring, fierce or unforgiving sun. Using your other example, you can use the Adverb breathtakingly to intensify beautiful but in Word Families, but you can also use Adjectives - breathtaking, flawless, perfect and dazzling to replace beautiful. In addition to Word Families and a Thesaurus we offer Phrases, Figures of Speech, Intensifiers, Rhymes, a searchable Bible, Pop Culture, Similes, Metaphors, Oxymorons, Idioms and more. Our program may not be for you but it certainly deserves serious consideration if you are a writer.
While you are entitled to your opinion about what distinguishes a real writer from a fake writer, I view it as just another tool in the toolbox. I can only imagine how wonderful your writing life must be without needing any writing aid such as a dictionary or thesaurus. You must be a fantastic author and have hundreds, if not thousands, of sales on a variety of titles. I envy you and your brilliance.
Thank you for your comment, we’d like to take a moment to address your concern regarding MasterWriter being a subscription service. MasterWriter was once a traditional standalone program that you could purchase outright and pay for future upgrades. With the evolution of tablets and smart phones, we began to receive countless requests to make MW compatible on all devices. It was through much consultation that we came to the conclusion that the only feasible way to accomplish this was to make MasterWriter a web-based program. We’re a small company serving a niche market and we simply don’t have the resources to program and maintain a standalone version for all operating systems and devices. A web-based program that can be constantly updated and improved was the best solution. It may not seem that a program based on the English language would require a great deal of maintenance, but we have had a programming team on staff since our inception. Not only are we updating MasterWriter regularly with new tools, features and content, we have to continually address any incompatibilities that arise as a result of an OS or browser update. The move to a subscription-based model was not financially motivated, instead it was our best option to stay up to speed with technology and serve the needs of our users. Another advantage is that all improvements and upgrades come at no charge, so you always have the latest and greatest version.
