By the time you finish watching Sons of Anarchy, you realize what the show is actually about. Halfway through you’re still thinking it’s really about a biker gang but actually this show could be about any group of people. What it’s actually about is the drama of one woman and her lust for drama where she can’t just leave well enough alone, and every decision, she makes ruins everyone’s life that’s directly tied to her.
Gonna go ahead and throw gas on this, you couldn’t be more right… all big downfalls of any group… starts with one woman trying to be “the baddest queen” around and ends being a lying, deceitful, see you next Tuesday
Gemma was one of the most despicable characters ever on television. All she did was use everybody in her path, no matter the cost. I cannot understand how in the world any man would fall in love with somebody like that. This may sound cold hearted but by Jax killing Gemma he did the world a big favor. If you think that is harsh, just take into consideration how many lives she ruined. She had absolutely no redeeming qualities.
You are absolutely right... Like some of the nastiest characters I have ever seen, she kind of takes the cake... but the best part is she met her karma. I was really hoping the same karmic result for Wendy Byrde from Ozark, another equally disgusting woman..
This was by far one the most gut wrenching scenes in episodic tv history! Gemma knew Jax would never have true peace, until he killed her. Was Gemma sacrificing herself for Jax sanity? Or did she just know it was the end of the line for her? Either way you see it, however you feel about Gemma, she stood firmly, excepted her fate, and took that bullet like a boss! One of the greatest shows ever made
God, I love this show. It is still, to this day, my favorite show I've ever watched. It isn't perfect, but it's great. The interesting thing to me about this show, as someone who's watched it in its entirety, multiple times, is realizing that the show was never about Jax. It was never about Gemma. It was never about Clay. It was about the damage that the ones closest to you can do, and how to cope with forgiveness and guilt. Its cyclical. Clay and Gemma are the reason that Jax's father is dead. Clay betrays Jax, and ultimately the club, in order to protect himself from the truth of what he's done. Gemma then tries to right her wrongs by killing Tara, because she truly did believe that Tara was a rat. Jax kills Gemma in order to get vengeance for Tara. Jax then kills himself to end the cycle. But is the cycle really broken? The only thing that Abel and Thomas know are death and destruction, the same as their father, and his father before him. After all, they are the "Sons of Anarchy". In every sense of the word. And so, the cycle is bound to repeat. I absolutely hated the ending to this show, the first time I watched it. I was disgusted. It felt like a cop out. In reality, it couldn't have ended any other way. From the very start, the writing was on the wall.
Let's be real. The show wasn't bad, but it was excessively melodramatic, stripped of logic, and in the end was about a bunch of people murdering other people with impunity. It's decent at best.
Jax loved his mother and was willing to give his life for her, but when she killed his wife, she actually killed a lot of what he loved most. Finally we come to that scene in the garden, the final goodbye of mother and son, you can see that after what she did to him, he didn't want to kill her and is hesitant to do it. Immediately after he decides to kill her, he looks at her body and knows that he has done something that cannot be undone. The mother who raised him, loved him, knew each other for so long, just left in an instant. I like the theme when he looks up at the sky shortly after, it will seem like the gemma's soul has merged with his father and tara, and he knew he would be joining them soon.
@@katydid917 Jax cared for alot of people, but he loved very few. His inner circle was Gemma, Opie, and his kids. Tara was the inner circle within the inner circle. He couldn't survive without her.
2 of the biggest things that happened in my opinion that changed the show drastically.... when Tig shot donna by accident.....with no real evidence that opie was a traitor....AND when Tig went rogue and killed hopes daughter........that one thing caused a huge shift in the whole show.....Jax woulda never had problems with pope...alot of stuff wouldnt of happened

@Anthony Campos Even though Jax didn't find out the whole truth about his father's death, Gemma was an absolute traiter, from the start of the show, killing Tara just made that fact entirely obvious.
How do you make these video/clips. Is there a website or something. Do you download the episode then cut out the clips you want to post? I want to do the same for this show and many other but dont know how.💚
Im glad jax ended himself the whole show he went around killing and killing and being a thug. Nero even kept warning him. Everyone kept warning him the bad choices were gonna come back to bite him. Gemma was just trying to stop tara from ratting. Would have been a justified mistake. Tara was talking to the cops. She came very close to ratting. Even if she set all the bloodshed into motion even bobbies death jax didn't have to bring his whole club into the revenge against the chinese. Marks even warned him about taking things too personally. Jax was always crying and too emotional. He had people counting on him. Look at all the girls who were killed as a result. He kept making mistake after mistake.
Alot of you are missing the point: 1. “Gemma killed John” John killed himself just like Jax did, like jury said. Gemma didn’t. 2. Gemma murdered Tara bc she thought she was gonna rat on jax. Tara could’ve clarified and try to talk to her before attacking her. Might’ve saved her life. Putting it all on the chinese is which was WRONG from Gemma.
Gemma caused so many problems for everyone. Her loyalty was crap considering she killed one hubby and would’ve killed clay but she framed him for the one murder he didn’t commit.
"you have to do this. its who we are" no, jax didnt have to do this. if gemma never lied and have everyone turn on each other. never killed tara. never tried taking the kids away after that car crash. i think majority of the guys would still be alive right now and jax would be living his dream life with his family
Say what you want about gemma but she was a Gangster thru and thru..she lived by the code and died without begging for her life..if she had been born a man she would have been terrifying lol
Holy shit this is satisfying. Been waiting 7 seasons for this. Shame this was too quick, she should have gone through what Bobby endured because of her. Oh well.
@@gezenews as superstar says you should watch at least part of the show (or just a few specific scenes) and you'll see it. Gemma doesn't do sobbing or begging pretty much ever especially not when she's manipulating someone. She also knew this was coming at some point so she's prepared
I think she knew that if she wanted to talk her way out of it she could have. He was having some pretty severe internal struggles over it. I think deep down she actually wanted it all to be over as well. She'd lost everyone she loved & pretty much destroyed her entire life and that of everyone she cared about. I think at this point she was just done, and ready to go. I think if she'd wanted to beg/talk her way out of it, Jax was hesitant enough I think she could have. And I like to believe that she knew she knew that
Tara and Gemma were fighting just like how Laquisha and Tasha in Power . One of them had to die cause they were each fighting for their lives. When gemma found out she did feel bad she started talking to herself and “Tara”

I was so mad about this ending. He just basically kills everyone and then himself. It was horrible ending. He should have refused to kill his mother and she should have done it herself and broke the cycle. He should have taken his kids awaya and changed
Jax shouldn't have done it. As soon as she said "It's who we are" He should have said "No, that's who YOU are" Her punishment should have been more severe, emotionally. Booted and exiled from everyone she cared about. That would have killed her soul.
I understood why Jax did what he did. "An Eye for an Eye," but... To kill your own mother... It made me so sick. I understand, but... IDK, man. Gemma got away with so much for so long, so it was only justified this way, I guess.
It was a crazy decision. But at the end, it was like watching „The Punisher“. There is always a way to justify someone has to die. And i‘m 100% with you, no one deserved it more than Gemma. I kind of would like to see where Jax’s boys ended up with Wendy &’ the surviving members of the Sons. I hate the way Jax was played throughout the entire series. I genuinely feel for Juice..he was screwed the most.
So many people are saying: she raised him, loved him and yada yada.
How man ? she was the most fake persona ever? fake human, fake mother and fake friend lol. She never loved him, she looked at him as some piece of weapon for her ego.

It's Macbeth...
@@wbdx9785 nope, it's Hamlet
@Wayne3791 Its ok. It takes someone of intelligence to understand all this. You don't have it and that's fine.
It's The Godfather meets Hamlet.
She had absolutely no redeeming qualities.
it's just a show dude, chill out
I agree. Gemma is the tv character I despise the most of all time
You are absolutely right... Like some of the nastiest characters I have ever seen, she kind of takes the cake... but the best part is she met her karma. I was really hoping the same karmic result for Wendy Byrde from Ozark, another equally disgusting woman..
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂@@Chris-wq3pe
I have never hated a character more than Gemma . She makes me puke
From the very start, the writing was on the wall.
até parece que Gemma era essa santinha que você fala
Let's be real. The show wasn't bad, but it was excessively melodramatic, stripped of logic, and in the end was about a bunch of people murdering other people with impunity. It's decent at best.
Watch the wire. You realize no matter what the cycle will always repeat
Dude I don’t think you could’ve put it any better
@@TheBrandonFrank I've heard great things, but don't spend much time watching shows these days.
Jax is mr mayhem
Gemma brought this on herself.
The one person he kills without looking them in the eye
He didn't mourn her either. He looked up at the sky and then just walked away. When he found Tara's body, he cried like a baby.
most overdue death of the season, Should have written her character off the second Jax took over the club.
Good thing you aren’t a writer
Uh, when was Jax willing to give his life for Gemma? Tara was the only person he would die for. Gemma? No.
@@anthonycampos8057He’d without a doubt die for Tara, but I think Jax would be willing to die for a lot of people in his life. Especially Opie.
@@katydid917 Jax cared for alot of people, but he loved very few. His inner circle was Gemma, Opie, and his kids. Tara was the inner circle within the inner circle. He couldn't survive without her.
I mean, I'd die for my wife, not my mother.
Yep I dont like tig
This is why it's always important to know the whole picture......
This had to be one of the hardest scenes in any series I've ever watched...
Phones be reading our minds! I was thinking about this specific part of this show and this randomly pop up. Haven't watched this show sense it ended but yet here we are.
Hunnam is an otherworldly good actor. It’s actually disorienting to hear him in interviews and to lay witness to how drastically different he is in real life vs Jax Teller
I think it was from that moment that Jax knew what his own end would be.
Jax died the moment he found Tara lying on that kitchen floor. Her death sealed his. He couldnt survive without her. Bobby himself said it.
Giving me BIG "Look at the flowers" vibes from TWD
When this happened, I put my fingers on my forehead and and just said “damn, Jax has to die…”. His mother was by far the most evil bitch walking in that entire coast of the nation. But that was his mother. You get me? This is so not easy to digest in any way shape or form.
There is no coming back from that
She deserves it
Coming back? He pretty much died after Tara's death.
He died when Tara and Opie died. There was never any coming back after those two for Jax.
Genesis 2:24: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. i know its a show etc but she killed his other half , she had to go mother or not you're wife is everything at least she is supposed to be
What a horrible situation. I’m not sure what I’d do.
Gemma had no idea that when she killed Tara, she also inadvertently killed her son. Gemma killing Tara was the ultimate betrayal.
@@anthonycampos8057 ummm she knew
@@anthonycampos8057 she did the right thing. Until she found out she didn’t. That’s from her perspective. Not mine
@Anthony Campos Even though Jax didn't find out the whole truth about his father's death, Gemma was an absolute traiter, from the start of the show, killing Tara just made that fact entirely obvious.
Great family with great traditions. When it’s their time, they end each other. Jax fucked up by taking away his son’s birth right to end him later on

True. Tara even attacked gemma first. Could’ve made it clear to gemma that she wasn’t ratting. Might’ve saved her life
This was probably the saddest episode of the entire series 😢
Alot of you are missing the point:
Gemma and EZ telling their loved ones right before they get killed by them….”I’m ready”
Gemma caused so many problems for everyone. Her loyalty was crap considering she killed one hubby and would’ve killed clay but she framed him for the one murder he didn’t commit.
"you have to do this. its who we are"
no, jax didnt have to do this. if gemma never lied and have everyone turn on each other. never killed tara. never tried taking the kids away after that car crash. i think majority of the guys would still be alive right now and jax would be living his dream life with his family
Man watching the last season of Sons of Anarchy was absolute torture lol
years after first watching this scene, without fail, every single time, I still jump when Jax's gun goes off.

I’ve never seen this show this dude seems like a psychopath because every clip I see he’s killing everybody. What she his mom.?? DAM!
Juice said it best “Gemma is the gate keeper to all of it”.

HAD TO BE DONE
Exactly. Gemma knew she screwed up big time when she killed Tara. And she knew that she had to pay the price.
I see what you did there. Using Gemma’s words from after she killed Tara. Nicely played.

And I like to believe that she knew she knew that
One of the most sadistic female leads ever… she deserved it! And much more for what she did.. all because of her vanity
Tara and Gemma were fighting just like how Laquisha and Tasha in Power . One of them had to die cause they were each fighting for their lives. When gemma found out she did feel bad she started talking to herself and “Tara”
I'm rewatching the show. Just started season 7. Did anyone else notice jax kills gemma in the exact way Patterson said she wanted the guys who killed her son to go. She said that's the way they deserved to go and jax killed Gemma that way. The foreshadowing! This show is amazing!
