Definitely doubt myself constantly but what helps is focusing on what really matters to me like my family. That and seeking inspiration either though browsing tidal and/or youtube for new music as well as watching videos like this

Trust The Process!! Good to know I’m not alone. It can definitely get discouraging at times, but we have to remind ourselves of the success we’ve achieved no matter how big or small and understand it’s possible! Keep going fam!! I love seeing people take that jump and fully believe in themselves, but to see a family do it together is amazing. Salute to you and your wife.

I’m a full time freelance engineer and I work a part time gig and I have my own music career going. Things get very crazy very fast and I keep it together most of the time but as long as doubt exists, I will always face those days that you’re talking about. Gotta kill that doubt 💥
When you work for someone else you can always dip out. But with your own company; you go down with the ship which opens up a whole different mental state that’s very hard to keep balanced when you first start out. But Jordan, you’re always killing it, man. Keep up the good work ✌️

Pressure is part of the game J, we all question the journey sometimes... Especially when you have a family.. It's growth fam, don't stress too much J, blessings.

Stop thinking so much!! You are a very talented guy. I appreciate you, you motivate me 100 percent. I think we all tend to have negative thoughts or self doubt sometimes as long as the good out weigh the bad. Don’t be so hard on yourself we can be our own worst critic. I’ve been watching your channel for some time and I can say you are definitely evolving everyday. Keep pushing #respect

Man this really hit me a lot. It took me two months to watch this video. I too feel this way a lot of times. I work a 7 to 5 job and I still go to gym after and I work on music for the remainder of the day. I push myself a lot and I'm also hard on myself. But at the end of the day I believe I will get a grammy one day. That's always been my goal being a producer. I might live in Trinidad and Tobago but I will continue feeding and manifesting this dream until it comes into reality. because believe me I know it will happen. Great things will happen for you Jordan man. You are one of the few people I look forward to listening to especially on my lunch break on work. Stay blessed bro.

Ive dealt with that too bro, and just to encourage you. Be consistent in your goals. I think that one thing that can create doubt in peoples mind, is when we try to take on too much. Gods got you and your family, he’s with you

I feel you on that. The studio game is hard, nowadays people With a Mike and a laptop Call it a studio. The trick is you have to be more to talented in other areas where you're not just depending on engineering, you have your hand doing other things as well.

I'm right there with you man. I started doing this part time a few months ago and there are days where I just feel like the doubt takes over and all my energy and drive start to get sucked away. I know I love this and I want it to be my full time gig but the climb to get there hits me hard sometimes. These videos of you sharing your life and struggles really empower me to stay motivated and keep grinding so thank you Jordan. I thank God and appreciate you for your struggle and what aim to accomplish. Blessings over your family man.

I understand where you are coming from, sometimes you have to appreciate how far you came from being so good at your craft, many people that will try to be in your position don’t even get a chance to make it “that far” these days. I’m rooting for you to not give up even when all odds is against you and self doubt starts to kick in. One thing that helps me personally is this app called motivation, it sends me quotes throughout my day so whenever I feel like crap, I look at the app and it’s makes me motivated again no matter what! Peace and love brother.

Man I completely understand! You have an amazing gift and continue to strive for better each and everyday. I have no doubt you will go on to be a highly recognized engineer. Back in 2016 I reached out to you regarding mixing my own music and your advice helped me progress to where I am today. Stay inspired, you got this!

As a beginner I definitely struggle with self doubt a lot. I felt this in so many ways bro, I respect the hustle. By Being an artist/mixer at a intermediate level and life's trials and tribulations things get Rocky, it can easy throw you off balance especially in my case. I mean my day job is fine, but there's nothing like getting paid for what you like to do. But good video man you spoke the whole truth I felt this bra things gone be aight keep pushing, I love the channel.

Dope video, I can certainly relate with what you are going through in regards to being a freelancer and letting that self-doubt set in sometimes. It's funny because I am in a very similar situation. My wife is a photographer and I am a music producer and digital marketer. We watch your videos because we can see you guys may be experiencing some of the same challenges we did earlier in our careers. IT'S HARD but it is well worth the struggle. In the end, I am sure you will get everything you deserve. You seem to be a great provider for your family. You are an inspiration to us all... Real Talk.

God is great, have faith and you‘ll be good. Honestly, if you have a loving family you have it ALL. I know so many people who are rich but alone, or even sick. We shouldn‘t thank God only for the things we have but also for the things we don’t have even tho we might think life would be better if we had them. Sounds weird but let that sink bro. All the best 🤟🏼

I deal with self doubt every single day. This has let me to a dark place where I can't seem to get my ideas, songs, beats done. I've been making music since 1996 and for a while now it has been a struggle for me. I hope I can get out of this soon. Music is my passion but as many others I had to get a job that I hate just to sustain myself right now.

We all go through it bro, but if I’m going to share any advice, it’s this, keep adding revenue streams to your portfolio, create additional courses, look into clothing line (you don’t necessarily need start up capital), ramp up video editing or get into making music videos with the equipment you already have, the more revenue streams you create, when one slows down you ramp up another. Appreciate you and appreciate you opening up like that. I think most of us share the same anxiety and the only remedy is talking about it so we can do something about it.

Yo everything you talked about is exactly what I’m going through. I freelance and work at a small studio that doesn’t get consistent business. I’m trying to find a better studio to work at and build my freelance portfolio and it’s all super stressful.

  • @AnkhManRaw
    @AnkhManRaw 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Damn homie going thru that right now. I am at that stage where I am trying to transition from Corp to freelancing. I guess I can't sleep yet I have no course correction or mentor for guidance. Sometimes you just need reassurance with someone that knows what you are trying to acheive.

Brotha, The SELF DOUBT is F.E.A.R (False Evidence Appearing Real.
What works for me is R.A.^G.e (Rise Above ^ God's enemies) I'll "Rise Above the Box that I'm currently in and I'll See the Bigger Picture, plus that small box that seem so big when I was "TRAP" in Self Doubt.

Don’t sweat the negative...Always Keep some type of part time/full time job.
Try applying at tv studios/churches or music studios.
Also do you measure your progress per monthly basis? Income/rates/client projects etc...

Im 20 years old , got a u87 , Neve 1073spx , Apollo twin , own alll the UAD pluggins got the ultimate bundle .I financed all that with credit cards and payments throughout 6 months successfully . boughtt a 2020 iMac , presonus 8 monitors , London 12 acoustic treatment in cash . I dont go to college dont pay no bills to live home . im saying this to all the young boys out there who live at home for free FKN TAKE FULLLLL ADVANTAGE OF THAT . because when you move out on ur own buying this equipment will be 100x harder and life will hit you hard unexpectedly . INVEST IN UR STUDIO THE MOMENT YOU GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL , u can easily make 30k a year working a warhorse job , u invest 15-20k a year for 4 years u have a 80 thousand dollar studio ! . or can spend 80k and go to music school in college like a dumbass . just my option tho

Wish you much success and a blessed future with your family, you are truly talented and skilled at what you do, you also seem like a genuinely great person. We all have self doubt, and if you don't you aren't human. To combat my self doubt I like to listen to my favourite music to bring good vibes through my mind and body, even dance and sing along to it, or spend quality time with my girlfriend making her laugh and smile, because it reminds me how blessed I am to have such a quality/beautiful person in my life, and that life is more about being happy with the people that love you.
