Yes, the paper is important to the veneer set. Great if you need to make a small repair on something!!

That Fenton covered candy dish (the blue hobnail) is outstanding!!! You don't see that color that often!! I can't believe it was there on half off day!!! Lucky find :)

Score!! Fenton Turquoise Hobnail Footed Covered Comport Candy Dish...rare!! One recently sold for $179.50!! Another one sold for $230.00! Awesome haul!

The gingham apron with “cross stitching” is called “chicken scratch” embroidery. It’s a really fun type of embroidery that nobody seems to do anymore. Pinterest has lots of examples - I keep thinking I’m going to try it one day. I have a green & white chicken scratch apron that I’ve kept for decades as inspiration.

🌺. THATS SO FUNN THAT YOU FOUND THE WADE WHIMSY “ FISH DISH SET “. JOSLYN PURCHASED ONE THAT SHE FOUND AT GOODWILL THIS WEEK OR LAST!! AND I HAVE THE PURPLE RUFFLED GLASS VASE THAT YOU BOUGHT FOR $8.00. I GOT ONE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AT THE END OF A ESTATE SALE & I WAS SO EXCITED BECAUSE I GOT THE VASE LIKE THE ONE YOU PURCHASED, A SET OF (6) PURPLE GLASSES & IT CAME WITH A 6 1/2 INCH RUFFLED BOWL AND SHE SOLD IT ALL TO ME FOR $10.00. OF ALL THE ESTATE SALES I HAVE EVER BEEN TO THAT ONE WAS THE BEST!!! IT WAS QUICK & SUCH A ADRENALINE RUSH. 😜. I wish I was there!!
That silver and glass Condiment/cruet set looks to be an antique. My maternal grandmother had a set very similar to it. As far as I know it's still in great shape.

You know Really Great Estate Sale’s are Rare. Especially when they are selling Antiques & Vintage for Really Great Prices. That was Fun!! 😁

🌺. Some people use the fruit sacks & Flour Sack’s for home decor they make pillows, wall hanging, or folded up to use in kitchen decor up on a shelf Or on top of there kitchen cabinets. That’s a great price!!

The Hemisfair Zodiac dish is from the World's Fair held in San Antonio, Texas in 1968! The Tower of the Americas (with the rotating restaurant on top) was built for Hemisfair and is still in San Antonio today.
You missed the Watt Spaghetti Bowl.. :( "Lyre" are pronounced "liars"... :) I believe the wood was "salesman samples". AHHH, you left the pamphlet from the wood samples behind... :( Great haul!
That “chalk head” wolf or bear is plaster of Paris. I made and painted one when I was in Cub Scouts back in the early 1960’s.

I have been hunting for a cruet set like that. So many great finds there. Wish the estate sales where I live were half that great.
I would have grabbed the wood samples as well. My dad is a custom builder and would make a neat gift for his wood shop.
That was a great estate sale. I would be dragging a big IKEA bag(or 2)thru the house, grabbing all sorts of stuff. I could tell you were excited, you were breathing hard. That's what I do too. I'm surprised there weren't more people there.
I could be wrong but I'll bet that wasn't a true "estate" sale in the traditional sense. In our area we have a couple that pop up during the holidays that advertise it and make it look like it is, but in reality it's an antique dealer(s) renting out temporarily a portion of an old house that's either on the market or going on the market, then list it and make it look like an "estate" sale. It's really deceptive but VERY effective to draw a lot of buyers/collectors in a very short time frame vs. what they could sell in a booth and commision to the store. Prices tend to be close to antique store prices. This one has very similar traits to the couple that do so near me.

Grapefruit bags, actually any commercial bag can be lined and turned into a shopping bag. I have one that I made that's from a bag of foal food.
I think those pieces of plywood were samples to take home and sew which one you and your spouse like for flooring or walls, like paint samples, and carpet samples that we use today. The samples are in veneers because it wood be way to heavy to send 3/4" plywood Samples home with you.

The Scotish Thistle and the Rose of England shortbread mold was a modern copy of a pattern dating back to King James VI of Scotland and I of England.

The green vase that you picked up and put down he’s from the 1960s, Whitefriars, extremely collectable and certainly in that colour is expensive here in the UK, Even though it was made in London.

What a collection! So lucky. The wood laminate samples would be nice for someone who restores furniture. If you have acquaintances who do this. Good gift for the holidays, or you could make a slight profit. Or go to Facebook groups and see if you can reach out
