I love what you chose to purchase.I wanted Barb to buy something but I admire her reserve unlike me!
Woe is me when I wake up at three A.m to see our dog illuminated in a moon beam with that look in her eyes. I don’t get to go back to sleep. She starts the agitated scratching on the comforter then begins doing burn outs then the race through the wood floor hallway. I never know if I should laugh hysterically or be sorry for myself. I do know I’m tired the next day. 😑

This was a great shop along! I found that Franciscan ivy celery bowl this week lol. I didn’t know what it was though. It’s my thumbnail for today’s video. So weird to see you find it on the same day! I collect blue and peach lusterware too. Great minds lol!

When my brother put the neighbor kid through one of the rounded glass pieces of our curio cabinet, my dad replaced it with plexiglass. My sister now has the cabinet and you still can't tell the difference.

The wood of curio cabinet with the rounded glass is usually called tiger oak. I have seen where some people call it quarter sawn wood, not sure if that is correct. In the booth where you got that clock and then Barb was looking at the cookie jar, just next to it was a oil lamp that was iridescent. On another video they showed iridescent glass and said that it was depression glass. Do you know if that is true? I so love the clear iridescent anything!

To cover the broken glass you could stick some faux stained glass sticky pattern over it :). There are ways to patch broken items.

I grew up with your tiled clock in our kitchen. I would love to find one. You should have a little snack. Especially since you didn't get enough sleep. I definitely would've gotten the candles. They don't have to be just for Christmas. I love single bookends. Barb has great willpower. You two are cute buddies. This was a fun trip.

I sold an owl vase which I regret.

The Northgarden Finds on Etsy has a Celery and butter dish combo of Ivy Franc. on her site, I saw today in perfect condition.
I just looked up that flamingo print on eBay and it sells for good money :) I just searched Turner flamingo print
My gramma had the flamingo picture in her living room. Frame was similar but mirrorized.

I had the Turner Flamingo print in the mirror rimmed frame, and sold it. I still have nightmares about losing that sucker and will probably end up paying two or three hundred bucks to replace it eventually. I do still have the cockatoo in the white bamboo styled frame that was a gift from my Mom and will NEVER part with it even though I'm not over emotionally attached to "THINGS" in general.

I think the cabinet with curved glass is quarter swan wood that gives it the tiger like look.

Hmm Turner Flamingo prints are apparently making a come back and can be worth decent money. The one on Ebay is selling for $439
14:02 the one all the way to the left is a Cockatiel while the 3rd from the left is a Cockatoo. Big difference!
Jeffrey, if that Flamingo print lived with smokers, it may just be the glass that has yellowed. You wouldn't believe the yuck that would clean off.
We had a clock just like that that hung in our kitchen in the 60s. Hope you put it online and not in the booth! :-)

Hi, the finish on the china cabinet could be 'poor man's oak' where a faux finish was painted on a light color hardwood, and people will remove the faux finish causing the piece to go down in value, have a great day

That Turner print has sold on eBay for $140-200, it's in brighter condition. Too bad that's so dark and dirty.

I picked it up when I was there after watching you purchase it in a previous video. I put it down when I saw the price too! Love your channel, to see suggestions for antique shops on the East side where I live. The malls in Carlinville & Litchfield are on my list now.

Our Antique Mall in Peru Il. Is huge too & the are going out of buisness. Most booths & glass cabinets are on sale. Started 1st week on Jan. Last day April 1st. A few 50% off booths.

Luan Petre lol! Definitely sounds like you got some nice workers that day. There's a huge sign on the door (at least all the times I've visited) saying no photography of any kind allowed. I even drove out there one day specifically to vlog it. I was SO SAD!!! LOL. I'll have to take a trip back out here and check out the sales though, thank you for the heads up! 😍
