- ❗️ I've been procrastinating again ❗️ Come along with me today as I finish quilting: 1) A gorgeous table runner and 2) An old UFO quilt. Both were finished on my domestic machine. ☀️

Holy cow! I just finished binding 6 placemats and only one of them lies down completely flat where the ends meet, no matter how careful I am. This pocket ending is genius and I may actually not dread adding binding to a project ever again. My mind is blown! Thank you so much!

Try a pair of quilting gloves. They make moving a big quilt around on a domestic machine (instead of a long arm machine) so much easier! You’ll be surprised.

Generally, how does the batting hold up with only horizontal quilting? The quilt and quilting looks great.
The batting holds up just fine. Batting packages usually tell you how far apart you need to stitch. It's usually in the 8 to 12 inch range. The problem comes in with scant seams or intricate patterns, with rough wear or a lot of washing those seams could come undone. Have a great day!
