Saddened by murders, racism and discrimination. Reflective and thoughtful in prayers and loss of intellectual prosperity and livelihood of families. Excellent research and telling the truth of American history. Great work University of North Carolina Wilmington scholars, historian and alumni in the pursuit of truth.

This is so relevant right now, especially in light of the Presidential results. I cannot wait to attend the premiere in Wilmington.

      EXACTLY!
TRUMP supports and emboldens the white supremacists - both these age-old ones as well as the descendants of these terrorists.

First song damn near killed me. Is it Rhiannon Giddens? Does anyone know where to find this song and her other music heard in this? It's so good.

Good ear! It is an original composition by Rhiannon Giddens - not currently available outside the film but we'll share if it is released.

Shameful... Yet this has happened many times in many cities by one demographic towards more than just the African American demographic.

When, where and what degree? Was it codified into law? This event and others like it were tied directly to Slavery/Reconstruction. Were those that you're speaking of?

Damn shame. History is good, but America has a lot to answer for when it comes for the mistreatment of people. United States is still the greatest country in the world.

Oh yes, the good old fake Bible belt is on trial and it should have been a long time ago. I'm an American descendant of slavery that lives in North Carolina 45 minutes. Might I say from the exact slave market house That my great-great-grandfather was sold from. Not once but twice His name was Peter Jones, that slave market. House still stands in the middle of Fayetteville, North Carolina. A lot of people in this area who went to public school had no idea what kind of markethouse they glorified my community did #ADOS
