Hi Lynn, it was a real wake up call listening to you talk about retirement. I retired early at 57 and we moved to a new area at the same time. My husband still works from home and the occasional visit to the office. I’m really struggling as I don’t know anyone where I live and have lost all my confidence going through the menopause etc. I’m good at talking the talk but when it comes to doing it I just can’t bring myself to try and do things. I think I’ll keep playing your TH-cam video so you can talk some sense into me 💕
Yes it’s hard but while you have your health, get up and get going. Join anything that’s free, a library, or a local social club. Come on, you know you can do it👏🏽👏🏽
I enjoyed your video. Just change the kind of bread you eat. A word of caution, do not miss any of your glaucoma check ups..I eat everything in moderation, on the advice of my doc I don’t deny any food completely. I try to stay active by counting my steps, and try not to overdo sugar and processed foods. You look great. I love Maxine’s channel too. Next time you visit the USA I hope you visit Ny😂 I love LV, and I love the slots too. I spent a birthday weekend there once and came home with a thousand dollars. I want to go back, but the fares from Ny are quite pricey. Thanks for sharing.
@@LouiseSpate Hi Louise, Probably about 10 years ago, going through the menopause, we moved to a completely different county leaving family, friends and everything I knew. We seemed to just move our furniture in when my husband was called away for work. Just me and the dog in a strange place knowing nobody until a friend suggested a charity shop as a volunteer. It was the best thing I ever did, made new friends, (still are today) and learnt quite a lot about the area in which I lived. Try it, worked for me wonderfully. Under No pressure to work, I done a few days a week. Hope that helps, good luck xx
@@tinahowson8335 Tina thank you for taking the time to reply to my comment.I really appreciate your consideration. I have thought of all those things, however, just can’t seem to make it happen
Hi Louise, oh I’m so sorry to hear that you are struggling, could you possibly try volunteering at a local charity shop maybe just one day to start, you will meet people and at least get to chat to the shoppers. Or anything else that you may be interested in, one step at a time, are there any groups in the area, like sewing/knitting circles ? I know it’s hard to push yourself, but you will be very pleased with yourself if you do. 🌹❤️🌹
Good morning Lynn, Can I just say?, I could listen to you all day long. You’re a breath of fresh air and inspirational with it! It is always a pleasure to tune into to your content no matter what it is on the day because you have a gift to command the audience that not many others have! You are fabulous! ❤❤❤
Aw Claire, you’re such a beautiful lady, you really are, thank you so much for saying that ☺️ my husband never listens to me hahaha he switches off 🤦🏼♀️ you are quite fabulous yourself and I can’t wait to see that lovely face again, so hope we don’t have to wait too long ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn, never a truer word spoken. I was 66 1st April...got my pension in May. Spend my time watching my grandkids 3 days a week, baking, gardening and i run a spiritual church. My hair is exactly same colour as yours, stopped getting streaks when covid hit and let it grow out naturally and its the best thing i ever did. Ive had more compliments for my silver hair than when i was blonde lol. You've certainly been through the mill these passed few years but you are an amazing inspirational woman. My mum had glaucoma and i get checked every 6 months. Also my grandaughter has the rubgy ball eye and getting fitted for contact lenses tomorrow especially made. Enjoyed your chat so much, lots of love ❤❤❤
Hi Sandra, wow we do have a lot in common don’t we lol. Thank you so much for all the lovely comments that you always leave for me, I really do appreciate it, so lots of love to you, and thank you 🌹❤️🌹
Love your talk Lynn ... especially the last bit talking about what you can do after you retire ... you really are an inspiration to everyone ... please stay well and as you always say, "take care of yourself" ... 🥰🥰🥰
Aw thank you Linda, retirement is a blessing that not everyone gets the chance to experience, so most definitely make the most of it, you take care too my lovely friend 🌹❤️🌹
I really enjoyed this episode of your life. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I’m enjoying my life now as I’m getting over thyroid cancer and waiting for spinal surgery. I love your positivity it rubs off on me so I’m so glad to get to know you better dear friend ❤🎉
Aw that’s so nice of you to say Lesley, you have been through the mill, and more to come with the surgery, I’m glad you are positive, I’m sure it helps with your recovery, all my very best wishes to you Lesley, speedy recovery when you have your op, and lots of love to you ❤️❤️❤️🥂🥂🥂❤️❤️❤️
Oh Lynn, I love you!! Even before you mentioned me on this video. I find you so inspiring. I really look forward to your videos too. It’s one I always sir comfortable to & watch properly. Thank you for the shoutout xx
Hello Lynn!! How I've missed watching your channel for quite a while, due to my husband's health issues. Haven't been watching TH-cam, but have found I've really missed watching you & a few other ladies. You're like good friends that you can sit down and have a chat with. Really enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing! Have a lovely day, hugs from America 💕
Oh I’m so sorry to hear that your hubby has been suffering from illness health, I do hope he’s on the mend and feeling better, and yes, TH-cam does feel like we are friends, and it’s definitely good company when your lost for what to do, or to take your mind off things, it’s been my friend many times. Much love to you Val ❤️❤️❤️
Oh Lyn ,thank you so much for your latest video you are so right about enjoying every day , I’m over 20 years older than you but my days are full I love gardening knitting , shopping especially clothes but my favourite has got to be baking so the kitchen and garden are my safe places . Please take care remember you are very precious. Much love from Joy ❤❤xx
Thank you Lynn. You are such an inspiration and positive person. I love being retired, never enough time to do everything I want. I have slowed up a bit as nearly 80. Try to stay as active and curious as possible. As you say, never know how long we have. X❤
Hi Chrissie, thank you, I try to see the positive in everything. Nearly 80, that’s amazing that you’re busy doing your thing, I admire you very much, and I’m sure you are an inspiration to your family and friends too 🌹❤️🌹
Enjoyed your wee chat today Lynn. Watched it in bits as my grandaughter was chatting away lol she is 15 months, god help us when she forms more words, never stops 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Hi Lynn , loved the Q&A. I retired at the begining of June , and I”m loving it I completely agree about all the things you said . I look at it as a new chapter in our lives . My husband retired 18 months before me and it’s now great to be off and about together even if one day we only nip out for coffee. So more holidays planned and can’t wait 😎. X
Hi Lynn and good morning, ive been on my holiday's so no u tube but im back so im working my way backwards on your channel, ive so missed your chuckle so im comment now before i listen then after your chat 😊😊
Just found your vids and have subscribed your very like me in everything you do and say I like your friendly attitude like me I’m from up north look forward to getting to know you ❤

Hi lynne, lovely video. I could sit with a cuppa and listen to you all day. Im still working 4 days a week, but still really loving my job, ive got a few more years to go before i can retire. But, i totally agree, you have to get up, and get going ! Enjoy life while you still can ❤
Hi my beautiful friend, I so enjoyed this video, but honestly I enjoy all your videos. But it just helped me to get to know you better, and that's what I loved about it. I spill my guts to you all the time. It's very nice hearing more about you. It's also nice you feel comfortable enough to share your life with all your TH-cam family. I was going to write last night and got involved in giving myself a pedicure and manicure, which took a really long time, because it's not as easy as it used to be for me. Especially the feet. But my feet and hands were in pretty bad shape. Of course, that was the procrastination setting in. I tend to put a lot of things off for "later". But I know I have to get out tomorrow and I will be wearing flip-flops because it's so hot here, and I figured I better take care of it. Then I had to clean the house today and do some painting of a wooden frame I've also been putting off so I can hang a canvas painting I got for me and Donald. That's what I'm doing now, I'm waiting for the paint to dry, so I can put a second coat. Also, yesterday, I made chicken salad for us to eat. Donald loved it. I hadn't made that in a long time. But I totally agree with you on the idea of when you have an opportunity to do something, do it. Because you never know what the future holds. Just like we thought we would be doing a lot more after Donald retired. And now look at us. His health is so bad we can't do anything. And it's not anyone's fault, it's just how things turned out. So we make the best of the situation we are in and just happy we still have each other. I also clean as I go, it makes like a lot easier, doesn't it. I also clean as I cook in the kitchen, so that by the time the meal is ready, there's very little to wash. I've also had to cut some negative people out of my life. It just drags you down too much. By the time they get through with you, you feel dead inside. It's like they've drained every bit of life out of you. It's just not good, and nothing positive comes out of it. So we have a very small circle of friends and family, and we have more peace that way. We are just too old to deal with all the drama. I could go on, but I better shut it down so I can give your eyes a rest. LOL, but thank you so much for making this channel. It has been wonderful not just for you, but for many other people also. You are such a blessing, my dear friend, you have no idea. Sending lots of love & hugs. Donna. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good morning my lovely, it’s 06.30 here, I’m answering your message before hubby gets up, sitting with a nice cuppa. I don’t mind sharing parts of my life on TH-cam, but there are certain things I would always keep to myself, like most of us. I don’t think I would be able to do my own pedicure now, so I have my toes done every couple of months or so when I go for my manicures. In fact I’m having them done next Friday I think it is. I can see why you wanted yours doing if you’re going out in flip flops, we have standards don’t we Donna, hahaha 🤣 The sun is shining this morning, it rained most of the day yesterday, so I hope it stays fine, I’ve got bedding in the washer and I want to hang it out when it’s finished. I’m glad you are getting some time to do your crafting, even if it’s just a small project, it’s important to spend time doing the things you enjoy. I have quite a busy week this week, I’ve got to go to town to get my 2nd shingles injection tomorrow, and of course I will browse in the shops, I’m looking after Ida on Thursday as nursery is closed this week and her mum is on a course at work, I think I’ve said before, she is a midwife, and then on Friday I’m meeting a friend for lunch that I haven’t seen for a few months, so god knows when I’ll get chance to film lol. Maybe I could do something today for Wednesday, 🤦🏼♀️ I’ll see what I can come up with. We had a roast chicken dinner last night, I cooked it in the airfryer, it was lovely, and we had new potatoes, veg and gravy. We absolutely do not know what’s ahead, and it’s a good job we don’t sometimes, I’ll health can strike at any moment, so we should always try our best, although it’s not that easy at times, to enjoy our lives as best we can. As for negative people, always feel like they suck the life out of you, and leave you feeling empty and down trodden, so I really do my very best to avoid them. Some people just thrive on misery, well it’s not for me, no no no . I love family time the most, I do socialise with friends, but my family always come first on my list, love spending time with them. Even close friends can bring drama sometimes, so like you we just have a select few that we see regularly. This channel has brought me new life, I love filming content, chatting away, sharing our DIYs, I would be so lost without it, so thank you my lovely friend, and I hope you enjoy your little trip out tomorrow, much love, a massive hug and take care my sweet friend….. 💐💐💐🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
Hi Lynn. Loved this video it’s so nice to hear more about you and all the things you’ve done and you do. I follow a lot of the same people on you tube as you do and I enjoy watching all your videos. I don’t work due to various health issues and I find the days long as my partner still works even though he’s much older than me in his 70s and all my girls have flown the nest so I definitely feel lost so listening to you is definitely helpful. I struggle with negative people and don’t know how to say I don’t want to see them especially when one of them is a family in law what’s your advice? Thank you for saying about polishing I do polish my furniture once a week and dust every day but still see dust even when I’ve dusted 😂. I remember my dad saying the same as you to say yes to things and forget about the housework he said that it won’t be on my gravestone but she had a clean house he also said the housework will still be there tomorrow and open the windows and let the dust blow away 😂😂 life’s too short it’s so true. Love your videos Lynn you always make me feel better. Thank you. Have a lovely Sunday ❤️💕💕
Hi Sandra, thank you. I think quite a few people follow the same TH-camrs, we gravitate to similar people don’t we. I think it’s more difficult when it’s family, would it be possible to visit them instead of them visiting you, at least that way you can give an excuse to leave. If someone’s negative, I try not to engage, listen for a minute, then change the subject to something happy. It’s difficult I know. When my children were small, one of the other mothers at school used to say, she never dusted and the children used to like drawing in the dust to make pictures hahahaha Have a lovely week ahead my friend ❤️🌹❤️
Morning Lynn…Thank you. I totally agree, enjoy life while you can, never know what’s around the corner. This is one thing that worries me in life. I want to embrace everything but we know because of restraints not always possible. I am fortunate in many respects compared to others so I take it as it comes. Never use polish either, just a wet cloth and we live like out in a village surrounded by farms so when harvesting starts wow…Thanks for sharing your life. Happy Sunday, take care, see you in the next xxx❤❤❤
Hi Tina, I try and find joy in the small things, don’t get me wrong if I suddenly became wealthy I would enjoy what that brought, but all in all I’m very lucky, and blessed. Sounds like we live in very similar surroundings, the cows are mooing a lot at the moment, because they are calfing, and they cry when the calves are taken off them, you get used to it though. Have a lovely week ahead 🌹❤️🌹
Morning Lynn I love to watch you video and haul I in enjoying your company and I love to see you and your give me some good ideas and I will keep watching your TH-cam I am enjoying watching you on my birthday I am 57 today
Hi Lynn, I made a post but I didn’t finish it and when I sat back down to finish it, it had disappeared 😃. I loved this vlog, finding out more about yourself and your wee family, it’s like having a new friend even although we are miles apart ❤❤xx
Great vlog Lynn loved to hear about your life very interesting.Las Vegas is another world completely different,it was great to see the different hotels with shopping centres inside and each one has a different theme going on outside. The casinos can be very addictive even watching people using their gold cards and your food and drink can be brought to you.I used to have dark hair then started to experiment going lighter I am at the moment still blonde,my mum and my grandmother had beautiful hair it became white so hoping that I take after them.Take care Lynn and carry on doing what you love to do xx❤️❤️
Hi June, thank you. It’s amazing, I went inside lots of the hotels whilst I was there. White hair is so lovely, I’m sure you will probably take after them. I will certainly be trying my hardest 🌹❤️🌹
Hi Lynn, I totally agree with you, when you retire try to make the most of it. We worked a long time. I like crafting too, I have a craft video coming next week. Take care 🙂
Hi Lynne, Loved this little Q&A vlog... just sitting and getting to know you. I retired when I was 65 years old, luckily I have my health so can do alot of walking, which we both enjoy. I still feel young, and I will continue doing what I'm doing, till I can't do it anymore. As my mum used to say "the minds willing, but the body's weak"... well I'm still willing in mind and body, and I intend to carry on being for alot longer. We married in Vegas, it's amazing! Would go back tomorrow, but the flight puts me off. My sister in law and brother in law have just started going to Thailand for a month in January... they love it, but again the flight puts me off. There's so much to do these days for retiree's, you'd never be bored! ❤❤❤
Hi Lynn, inspiring video. It's nice to retirexand not have to clock watch ,my last job in a care home ,I did 12 years of nightshlfts. I get up early walk my dogs ,have chats with people, be kind to our neighbours, and friends , and hope the next generations have good lives. Enjoy your Sunday. Thank you for you're words.xx❤❤
Exactly, although my body clock gets me up very early, it hasn’t retired yet hahaha. I did 5 years on nights in a care home, then went to work in care in the community, did some nights there as well for a while. Sounds like you are a lovely lady, enjoying your life Susan, good for you, take care as well 🌹❤️🌹
Always enjoy your Q & A Lynn and finding more about you. I agree you can easily be a slave to your house, my gravestone will definitely not have ‘She had a spotless house’, it may have ‘I kept telling you I was ill though’🌺😉🌺 xx
Oh Lynn that was a lovely video and so well put about doing what you want to as you never do know what’s around the corner. I love craft, cooking and holidays and I am retired and still dont seem to have much spare time. My days fly by, certainly can’t say I’m bored. I love been retired and I too left a year early. Thanks as always. Take care.
You are the same as me Pam, no time to sit and stare hahaha I’m never bored at all, I can always find something to do, and I quite like to do nothing at all now and again. I’m going to try making my own, see if that makes a difference, I’ll try sourdough bread first 🌹❤️🌹
Wow Lynn, you’ve been on TH-cam for a year now …..feel like I’ve know much longer.. your definitely right about beginning each day thin then by the time I go to bed yep look pregnant 😮😢😂. Still loving your channel…never get bored! Thank you for sharing 😊❤x
It’s strange isn’t it Joanne, it’s flown by, but yet I feel the same as you lol. I’m just reading about gut bacteria, maybe that’s something I need to be sorting out, it might help you too. Thank you so much Joanne ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn great video I sound a lot like you in quite a few ways.I found it hard when I retired but started crafting which I really enjoy.your you tube choices are similar as well.and I love in lanc s. Thanx for sharing your channel Suex
Good advice there Lynn. Life is very short. I’m transitioning to my natural colour just now, it has been about 6 months now, but my hair grows so slowly! I’m a kind of salt n pepper colour for about 3 ins at the roots the rest is ash blonde. What I’ve been doing is using a purple shampoo twice a week, so it doesn’t look too bad. I do notice my hair is getting a bit thicker since stopping the dye, so that’s a bonus. Have a lovely Sunday 😘💜xx
Thank you Lynn what a lovely natter this morning x Yes I agree we must enjoy our lives… im just contemplating on early retirement and wondering what I’d like to do ( maybe a little job ) I’m having my grandson 1 day back from August. Can’t wait to see your en suit etc xx Lots of love xx
I think you will like it Shelly if you decide to do it. I can honestly say I wish I had done it earlier, and how lovely to have your grandson one day a week, he will keep you busy for sure lol. The tiles are going on at the moment, I’m quite excited 🌹❤️🌹
Lovely listening to you again Lynn ❤. I reached 66 on Friday, unfortunately I can’t quite afford to retire completely as have too many grandchildren and 1 Great granddaughter 😊 I have however reduced my days to 4 and hopefully in January down to 3 and will reduce hopefully down to 2 days the year after, so not so much of a shock. I have already started saying yes’ to things I would normally have said no’ too, so good advice ❤
Happy birthday for Friday, hope you had a lovely time. It sounds like you treat them a lot lol. If I had been well, I would probably have worked for longer, but I have to say that I’m thoroughly enjoying my retirement. TH-cam is my work, but it doesn’t feel like work to me. I still have to say no now and again, but I say yes whenever I can, and I’ll continue to do so for sure, take care and have a lovely week 🌹❤️🌹
I can’t wait to go complete grey, my hair is about 50% grey. I’m very dark naturally. I hate having to go to the salon for highlights and the expense of course x
Hi Lynn I am planning on retiring on September, we emigrated to Canada over 30 years ago from the UK it was a big change, our son was 4 he is now married and we have a lovely little Granddaughter but they do live an hour and half away by air, (2 day drive), but we try and see them as much as we can, hopefully more when we retire 👍🏻. Your advice at the end of the video was very inspiring thank you, retirement is exciting but at the same time quite scary, your words of encouragement pepped me up thanks 👍🏻. All the very best Wendy 🇨🇦💕
Hi Wendy, retirement is wonderful Wendy, you have the time to explore lots of things that you didn’t have time for when working, it’s like someone’s given you wings, you feel so free, enjoy every moment. I’m sure you will see your family so much more, and they will be so pleased about that. The very best wishes for your retirement lovely lady 🌹❤️🌹
Hi lyn enjoyed this video im only 62 got to wait till 67 to retire seems ages-away but must not rush my life away so i try and do things i like see friends when i can and go out with my husband on our days off ❤
Morning lovely Lynn always enjoy your videos and really enjoyed this 😊 your so right about the cleaning on your grave get out and enjoy life if you can I'm like you I like a clean and tidy home but I just work round it gets up earlier if I have to hope your well have a wonderful Sunday the sun ☀️is shining hope it is where you are take care and lots of love Lynn ❤️❤️❤️😘 xxx
Hi Coral, I’ve been taking pants up that are too long, it’s a job that’s been haunting me so I got it done today, 4 pairs lol. Have a lovely week ahead 🌹❤️🌹
So relatable Lynn I’m same age as you and enjoying life Couldn’t agree more say yes to most things some weeks so busy doing lovely things with friends n family love it .I also go to aqua fit 3times a week and made another lovely group of friends .Thanks for lovely vlog ❤.X
Hii lynn do you mind telling us where your settees are from? And how you get them so clean I have leather ones and they don’t look at all like yours, I love your videos and you have a new subscriber! 🎉
Hi Gemma, we bought ours from Sofology, it was quite expensive but it’s lovely leather, we got a cleaning kit with it, but I haven’t used it yet, I just wipe it down with a slightly damp cloth, the two end seats on the sofa recliner, and the chair reclines. It’s so comfy. I chose leather because of having Ida, if she drops anything on it, or spills, I can just wipe of straight away. Thank you so much for subscribing Gemma, that’s so very nice of you, so welcome, it’s lovely to see you here ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn, your so right about retirement and doing what you like. When your working your life is run by a clock, time to get up, time for lunch, time to eat, time for bed, retirement frees you and you can do what you want when you want. You never know what's around the corner, so you haven't to take things for granted. I've developed closer friendships with women I've known for years who have become widows like myself and that has been good for the 3 of us, as well as 1 friend still lucky enough to have her husband. I try to avoid as much as possible negative people, can do without that. Take care, love Jean ❤❤xx
We’re on the same page Jean, life’s too short, we did our bit working so now it’s our time. I’m like you, have friends that I’ve known for years, and we do try to meet up as often as we can for a nice catch up. I don’t have a lot of free time with TH-cam etc, but I try to utilise the time I do have doing things I like, no negative Nellies allowed haha love Lynn ❤️🌹❤️
Hi Lynn, very relaxing chat! You are right about not saying ‘No’ to offers of things you want to do. I would just add that it may be that you make your own opportunities sometimes, rather than rely on family/friends etc as you could be waiting for ever! Mostly aimed at solo people. Some of the comments have mentioned being aged 60s, so remember that after 70 the clock ticks faster than ever, so enjoy and use every minute. I would ask about where you like to go on holiday - so can you add that to your list for Part Three. I too enjoy your ‘giggle’.
Thank you Hazel. Yes you are right, my mum used to say, nobody is going to knock on the door and give you what you want, you have to go and make it happen, she was right. Oh every year goes faster than the year before. Thanks for the ? 😂☺️❤️❤️❤️
Interesting video thankyou 😊 your description of bloating tummy sounded just like me. I discovered it was milk causing it so dairy too. Replaced with plant based foods cut out meat and have soya milk. No more bloating or dreaded stomach pains. Meat was OK I think but now vegan. Milk is the main thing and it's in loads of things including bread. Hope this is helpful ❤
Thank you Dusty, it’s a minefield isn’t it Dusty, it could be absolutely anything, I’ll have to try cutting things out one by one till I find the culprit, thank you for the milk info, that’s really helpful 🌹❤️🌹
Hi Lynne really enjoyed your questions and answers session.Ive found i have the same problem with bread so i have rice cakes instead but smother them in butter cause they can be a bit dry.Ive got another 7 years till i retire but am trying to save like you did to finish earlier.❤❤
Good for you, it’s the best thing I did, in my case I would have been 66, so I retired at 65, and that’s 5 years too long on my opinion, nobody should have to work after 60 I don’t think, yes if you want to, but not forced to. I hope you manage to retire early, keep saving 🌹❤️🌹
Your retirement story is so inspiring, I’m one of 6 sisters and we all have some health issues. Three of us are retired and two are semi retired the youngest is still working full time as a teacher of special needs children , I don’t know how she does it.
Hi Lynn I have put weight on over the last few years about 10lb don't to seem to be able to shift it but now just going to eat healthy like u i wont be going on a diet those days are over but I am healthy and I am happy as they say your health is your wealth . I haven't retired yet but have cut my hours and only work 2 days a week 4 more years before my retirement as long as they don't change retirement age hope u have a lovely Sunday 😊
Hi Eileen, the menopause played havoc with me, and it’s all around my middle, and my bum has gone flat hahaha but I try to embrace the changes, no point getting upset about it. I do hope they don’t change the retirement age, unless they lower it of course, have a lovely week ahead ❤️🌹❤️
Morning Lynn please to see you well I wach you every time you are on here am retired but am still working 12 hours a week and I am 68 But at the moment am enjoying it take care 🎉❤
Morning Lynn I have stayed in Las Vegas 3 times, the last time we stayed at the Mirage. We have been very lucky to have holidayed in the USA quite a few times. Some of the places we have been are San Francisco touring that area. New York, Florida,Key West and Key Largo. Miami,Wyoming, flew over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter and our last trip was to Yellowstone which I loved. So many places can’t name them all. My husband did the ride on top of the Stratosphere. When we went to Carmel we went to a cafe owned by Clint Eastward. Route 66 and the 17 mile drive, I could go on. Needless to say I love touring the USA. We were in Yosemite when 9/11 happened and as you can imagine it really affected America and flights. I let my hair go grey in Lockdown and love it. I have some purple highlights put in and have had many compliments which is lovely. An we went to Egypt after we retired we went up in a hot air balloon which was fabulous . I play bowls for a club in our village and travel to other clubs and have made lots of friends, that’s what retirement is all about. I have Osteoporosis and Angina but will keep going as long as I’m able. I worked in the care system for Leeds City Council for 26 years. My husband was a Police Officer for West Yorkshire Police for 30 years and retired as an Inspector. We’ve done our bit so now it’s our time. ❤️
Wow Patricia, you have been all over the USA, how wonderful. I went in the helicopter over the canyon, and we landed in the bottom, had champagne and strawberries, it was fabulous, I went indoor sky diving, I had a fabulous time. Lockdown was the ideal time to do it, pale shades of purple, blue and pink look lovely. I’ve been to Sharm el sheik many times, I love it there. I’m still waiting for a diagnosis so once I know, I can start to exercise more. It’s most definitely your time to enjoy every moment, keep exploring 🌹❤️🌹
It was my husbands birthday and my daughter order the cake,it was delicious and there is so much left and I can’t leave it alone. I am usually pretty good with my diet.
Im silver grey like you but put pink or purple temp colour. I retired at nearly 59 as i was made redundant. I accessed my work pension soon after so retired. OAP money came in later! But im an early Waspi so61 was official date. Im 73 now & do all sorts of craft - paper crafts, make jewellery, sewing, etc We have 5 grandchildren 18, 15, 15, 11 & 9 . So 4 of of them will not remember me working! Its great to see them& look after them.
The temp colours are good, if you don’t like they wash out, so you can experiment a bit. Lucky you, how nice that you got to take early retirement. It’s nice that you get to craft, and that you looked after your grandchildren, I’m looking after my little one on Thursday, can’t wait xx
Oh Lynn what a lovely positive message to us all - live everyday like it's your last!!! Love to hear about you and your ideas. Take care x
Exactly Milly, you just never know when it might be ❤️🌹❤️

I hope so Jacqueline, try to always look for the positive when I can ❤️❤️❤️
Hi my beautiful friend, I so enjoyed this video, but honestly I enjoy all your videos.

Oh Lynn you’re full of life and inspiration.
Thanks for sharing your life with us. 🌸
You are so welcome 🌹❤️🌹
Hi Lynn great Q&A. Enjoy listening to you look forward to the next video. Take care ❤
Thanks so much ❤️🌹❤️

Hi Lynne,
Loved this little Q&A vlog... just sitting and getting to know you. ❤❤❤
Hi Mary, how lovely. Wow, married in Vegas, I know what you mean about the flights, but overall it’s worth it, my husband won’t do long flights 🌹❤️🌹
I agree Lynn you don’t know what’s around the corner so enjoy every moment ❤🙂
I’ll definitely be trying my hardest Carol ❤️🌹❤️
Hi Lynn, inspiring video. It's nice to retirexand not have to clock watch ,my last job in a care home ,I did 12 years of nightshlfts. I get up early walk my dogs ,have chats with people, be kind to our neighbours, and friends , and hope the next generations have good lives. Enjoy your Sunday. Thank you for you're words.xx❤❤
Exactly, although my body clock gets me up very early, it hasn’t retired yet hahaha. I did 5 years on nights in a care home, then went to work in care in the community, did some nights there as well for a while. Sounds like you are a lovely lady, enjoying your life Susan, good for you, take care as well 🌹❤️🌹
Love your house you both did a fantastic job and you are right our houses will still be there when we are not ❤️❤️

Take care.
Oh and I am trying to cut bread out for bloating. My stomach grows thro the day. I feel better this week hardly had any bread. Wonder what it is.
You are the same as me Pam, no time to sit and stare hahaha I’m never bored at all, I can always find something to do, and I quite like to do nothing at all now and again. I’m going to try making my own, see if that makes a difference, I’ll try sourdough bread first 🌹❤️🌹

Oh how lovely Janette, I’m so happy for you 🌹❤️🌹
Hi Lynn I am planning on retiring on September, we emigrated to Canada over 30 years ago from the UK it was a big change, our son was 4 he is now married and we have a lovely little Granddaughter but they do live an hour and half away by air, (2 day drive), but we try and see them as much as we can, hopefully more when we retire 👍🏻.

@@Nanna-MI say do it ❤️xx
Thank you so much for subscribing Gemma, that’s so very nice of you, so welcome, it’s lovely to see you here ❤️❤️❤️
@@Nanna-M thank you so much Lynn, leather seats are the best for babies and clumsy people!
Great chat x

❤ good vlog our Lancashire rose 🌹xx
Thank you!! 😊 ❤️🌹❤️
Your retirement story is so inspiring, I’m one of 6 sisters and we all have some health issues. Three of us are retired and two are semi retired the youngest is still working full time as a teacher of special needs children
, I don’t know how she does it.
I’ve worked with special needs, it’s very rewarding but hard work ❤️
So enjoyed this vlog Thanku from another Lancashire lass near you 😊❤❤❤xxx
Hello Lancashire lass, thank you 🌹❤️🌹
Oh...by the way, I enjoy all the your tubers you mentioned as well as Helen Mary Jo and Silvermoonlight. Bye again x
❤️🌹❤️
Hi Jacqueline, nice to see you too, and as long as you enjoy working then good for you, TH-cam is my work now, and I love it 🌹❤️🌹
Morning Lynn I have stayed in Las Vegas 3 times, the last time we stayed at the Mirage.
Oh dear, it’s very hard to resist lol ❤️
Im silver grey like you but put pink or purple temp colour.
I retired at nearly 59 as i was made redundant. I accessed my work pension soon after so retired. OAP money came in later! But im an early Waspi so61 was official date. Im 73 now & do all sorts of craft - paper crafts, make jewellery, sewing, etc
We have 5 grandchildren 18, 15, 15, 11 & 9 .
