Man, the 90s were the best. I realize I sound like a "get off my lawn," guy now, but being in high school from 91-95 was just awesome from a music perspective.
Hello Ryan, Nick & Ty, I thought I'd suggest a new artist to give a listen, if interested. "Michael Bolton - How am I Supposed To Live Without You (VEVO)" (by the channel: Michael Bolton) --Bolton recorded a version of this song for his sixth studio album called "Soul Provider" released in 1989. And as always, I enjoyed rocking with you guys. Thanks for sharing. peace out~
This throws me right back to when I was suffering a bad case of Low Self Esteem, when the love of my life and ex-fiance, was in love with another girl, I knew it, he told me. I stuck it out for *another* two years, but it was *not* gonna work, so once I graduated, I bought an airline ticket to a different country on the other side of the world, in a different hemisphere. It took almost ten years to get over, but, he will *always* be the love of my life, I am still single and I doubt I will *ever* find another *one*, this album is/was my (war) cry.
I think his voice fits with this style of music. Thats why it worked and we are still listening and they are still playing! I love The Offspring ...everything about them..vocals and all !
I really think you would appreciate Badflower. They have great songs with good videos. Their video for Family is amazing. Several friends on FB all think Badflower would have done good in the 90's alternative/grunge scene. Try it out!
Regarding the comparison to those Seattle Grunge/Alternative bands, it isn't really a great apples to apples comparison. The Offspring are much more of a punk band than a traditional grunge or alternative one. They're more contemporaries with a band like Green Day than those Seattle bands. That could be a reason why the vocals put you off a bit, because they're much more of a traditional punk vocal versus say Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, and Layne Staley who are legit great vocalists/singers in a more straightforward way.
We were just speaking in terms of 90's rock in general. It was a coincidence that we named off the Seattle grunge bands, lol. I guess since this reminded us of Nirvana, that genre was on the mind at the time.

Gone Away is an amazing song. The Official Video ❤🎉
shame FFDP ruined it
Yes it is. Heard that song years ago. Took a while to find out who performed it.
Fun little blast from my past…we were 16 when it came out! It was do much fun to dance and sing too! Good times!!!

Straight up jam. KICKAZZ bassline.
SMASH album is a banger 🔥 one of the first cds I bought ❤
Smash is one of the best albums from the 90s! Every song is 🔥
This is my favorite by them 🔥😎
Originally, i thought this song was 'more Nirvana than Nirvana!'
One of the best 90s albums. This one and Third Eye Blind's debut album are both fire.
Third Eye Blind is so not close to best of the 90's or anything.
❤This has been on my playlist for years. They are pretty fly😅 Love them!
Come Out and Play is another good one!
Did they record an early hardcore fan (similar to the pizza guy in Pick of Destiny) to record the 'you gotta keep em separated' line? Epic.

Gotta keep 'em separated!

"The Kids Aren't Alright" is my fave Offspring song!
But there's still lots of good songs like
"Pretty Fly For A White Guy" ❤
This song works because it gives us a chance to be rowdy….. sorry old-school
Never knew the name of the song, but I've always turned it up when I heard it on the radio. As the matter of fact, I do it with most Offspring songs.
Great 🎉
Great song but my go to is always: The Kids aren't alright

I think Gone Away is my favorite from them!
Totally unrelated. Hey, 502. Seen your Velcro Pygmies at the Hangout. 7-31.
🤘
Actually Nirvana's chorus on 'Lithium' is just 'Yeahs'.
You should check out their song - *Gotta Get Away*
By far the best song ever made that has the word "dweeb" in it. 😅

'Me and Mrs. Jones' - Billy Paul
🧔🏽🧔🏻
0:57 Nick 🤦🏽♂️
1:05 Ryan 👌🏾
“Self Esteem” is 30 years old. 🤘🏽
Check out "Gotta get Away" official video is great one
The vocal is tuned to females and/or anyone who has the tendency towards crushing on that dude. We can hear it even if you can't. LOL
Come Out to Play is a better song. I’d like to see that next.
I hear this on the radio station I listen to in my car. They play it quite a bit. That’s probably why I tolerate it. I’m numb to it. Not a fan.
What In the 🌎 happened 2 u .. Is a miss out tune that kinda gives em there own thing ...judt pov
I hated it. this is when music started to suck and this is why with songs like this
F these Kamala ads!!!!!
I didn't like it, I listened to it and forgot about it.
First time hearing this band. Music is fair but the singer sucks big time. Typical 90's crap.......
