Very Good Video and content. Aspiring actor here. I was wondering this very question this past week, then I found your channel and this video. I have been in class for a little bit, I've gone to workshops and I've watched tons of YT videos on the ins and outs, do's and don'ts of auditioning. I hope I'm not rushing it but I was thinking of going on some auditions and see what happens. There's only so much reading, YT watching and workshops one can take before you have to just go out and do it. Thanks to your video I now have some things to check off to help me decide if I should go for a particular project or not. Thank You very much.
In my opinion if you're thinking about auditioning then you're ready to do it. I say go for it! Auditioning is a skill that needs practice too, to get good at it. Get out there and audition! Best of luck and let me know how things are going once in a while.
