I may not hit 15 but think about it, start at 1 pm, 1 drink an hour to 1 am is 12. I get the package to A> try new drinks B> pay for it in advance, no large bills to worry about as I am enjoying my vacation that's piece of mind and while it is a max of 15, 70 divided by 14 is only 5 drinks that make the last 10 free 🙂
$70 per day, with tax and gratuities, if you buy before the cruise. It includes unlimited bottled water ($4 ea), unlimited good coffees/caps, espss ($4-5 ea), unlimited sodas ($4 ea), unlimited milkshakes ($5 ea), unlimited energy drinks ($5 ea). So, if you have 4 bottles of water, two sodas, one or two coffees, and 4 drinks... it is worth it.
I can’t imagine drinking 15 alcoholic drinks in a day. I don’t drink much anymore(I’m an old lady) but when I was younger I did drink much more. I don’t think I ever drank that much in a day. 😂😂😂
I probably won't get the drink package. I very rarely drink alcohol and my husband doesn't either but was starting to drink more than he used too so he has cut back. I like specialty coffee but not but 2 to 3 a day, so to me it's not worth the money.
Only drink 1 or 2 (mainly beer) a day, while on a cruise, and my wife does not drink at all. As such no drink package for us. Even on an upcoming 10 night NCL cruise, we opted out of the Free at sea drink package as the Gratuities that you have to pay equates to about 5 beers. Wish cruise lines would offer a drink tab option where you pre-pay, non refundable, a certain amount of money and get like a 20-25% discount on the onboard drink prices. If you drink less you loose (a little) if you drink more you can either add more or just pay the excess at full rates. Right now all the cruise lines do is to encourage me to dink in port as that is cheaper.
I'm in the same boat as you. My wife doesn't drink at all and on my "very best day" I'll have 3 drinks. . .maybe. You propose a great idea. I wonder if the cruise industry would ever adopt that hybrid approach.
@@maddieblake6565Have never sailed Carnival. Does this give any discount? If not that is a scam as why would I do this while I can pay as you go the overpriced drinks.
Hey, what happened to never going on older Carnival Cruise ships ever again. LMAO. I know you love the Excell class now. The drink package works better on the Excel or Vista class. Better choices of bars on Excel and Vista. You can get the values of the drink package on 7 day or longer cruises. If you drink coffee, milkshakes, red bulls, 2 vitamin waters, you only have to drink 3 alcoholic drinks to make it worth it. Thanks for the video and your honest opinion
Thanks for watching! After these last 2 old ships, I really don’t plan to do more. The Excel class ships are so much better, but sometimes I only have the weekend to cruise and that’s usually only the older ships. A cruise on an old ship is better than no cruise!!
I understand you math, but for those of us who don't drink coffee or Red Bull (I like Monster Energy) it might not work in your favor. Especially if you are a light to moderate drinker.
We've Been on 10 Carnival cruises we learned the first one the giant package isn't worth it for us.. we drink only about $500 worth of drinks for both of us for a 7-Day Cruise
Carnival Cruiser here. The drunk package for us is soooooooo not worth it. A 7 night drink package for both of us would be $1100 or 2/3 of the cost of another cruise and besides we might have 4 alcoholic drinks each on a 7night. We just buy as we go. Which is about $125 Based on getting 4 drinks each for 7 nights.
Are you sure you're referring to Carnival??? A 7-day cruise is 489.65 a person, 979.30 for 2 people. 69.99 for 5 or more. 89.99 4 or less. Unlike NCL or Royal or MSC Carnival let you have anything else on the ship that is a drink. Every cruise line other than Carnival leave the drink Limit to the Bartender's. So, everyone has a cap.
It's definitely not worth it for us either.. when you buy drinks a la carte you can buy double shot drinks .. you can't do that with the drink package .. so many ignorant people cruise to it's laughable
I hate the way Carnival has its drink package because of the limit and they actors you while in American ports It’s not hard for my girlfriend and I to knock back 15 drinks (especially if shits are involved) but the price of the drink packages for both Carnival and Royal Caribbean are getting out of hand They are almost the cost of a cruise itself

You can definitely get your money’s worth if you take full advantage of the offerings, especially bottled water!
@@imobannon I forget all the other drinks you can get with the package. That makes it more reasonable to me
Good break down

I agree. I’m not even 30 and I still can’t imagine 15 drinks each day! Thanks for watching!!

Great point! I believe Virgin Voyages only offers bar tabs and not drink packages for this reason.
This is exactly how Virgin Voyages operates.
You can do cruise cash specifically for bars on carnival, up to $500 non refundable per stateroom

Don’t forget people you can get mocktails too for people that don’t drink alcohol

The Drink Package is worth it for Us but to each There Own ...
Not even in Vegas we drink 15 drinks a day combined. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
When my Son and I first started cruzing we would buy a watch. My watches all quit within a month later.
The drink package includes specialty coffee energy drinks milkshakes sodas bottle water etc
My experience was similar on Carnival. Loved the convenience of it but I didn't come close to getting my money's worth with the package.
If you order a drink package, everyone in your cabin must also order the drink package.
Thank you very much for sharing! Like 74
15 drinks from starting at 6am and going for 24 hours sounds like a nightmare for fights, arguments, vomiting, rude behavior etc.

Just always ask for premium liquors where you can , get what you like and know what the bar has on premium selections
I average 13.5 alcoholic drinks per day not including water, coconut water, juice, and coffee
So, I'm expected to drink approximately 5 alcoholic drinks every day for 7 days?🤨 I could never...
I think it was 15 a day. It would be challenging
@@Shaknbake15 a day is the maximum limit, not the number of drinks that makes it worth it.
@Shaknbake 15 is the max to get your money's worth you would need to consume an average of 5-7 every day
