Homemade Gold Ore Jaw Crusher Part 1

In this video I begin making a homemade jaw crusher for gold ore from my gold mine. This will be a sample size crusher at about 4" by 6" to crush a rock about the size of a base ball. I have gathered and worked on some components already so I show what I have done and then build the moving jaw part of the crusher. In the next video I will build the drive shaft with the cam.

Rebar welded onto AR plate might not be durable enough over time. Maybe something easy to remove & repair. Where will you mount the drink holder?

I frequently make cold chisels from rebar so I know it can be hardened, what I don't know is if it can be work hardened... If it doesn't play nice I will spray weld some carbide hard facing on it. The drink holder will go on top for easy access of course.

I think you are right... I am a teacher and it is habit to explain things in detail. Probably too much detail...
