Those old military grade, tactile clicky clicky's is what i want in my car
I kinda want it too.... not gonna lie....
🤭🤭❤️
Tesla: You'll take a big useless touchscreen and like it.
I was thinking of putting a kitchen timer lol! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Redundant detents, just in case...
Yep, I want seven dials to operate my windscreen wipers, and for it to take up a third of the dashboard. When I got my first car it was more important for me to put in a centre switch console than fix the brakes. (I did end up fixing the brakes).
This is the most icy cool 1 minute video I've seen on TH-cam. I imagine you couldn't hear it at all in a B-52 but that noise is so bone chilling for what it represents.
Totally agree! It's like straight out of a horror flick setting! 😬🥶
Then came the 555
what's a 555?
@@mortjoer timer chip
Any IC, involved in Neuclear bombing are toast
@hiteck007 does it also effect the lights here?
@@Eduardo_Espinoza there is Definitely a possibility because it's part of a circuit too. But if it's sitting in a packet not in a circuit it'll probably be fine
Gives a whole new meaning to blowing up your photos!
Photobomb
This went over my head 🤣
@@Eduardo_Espinoza I'll bet! 50, 000 feet overhead.
Oh that looks and sounds great, I hope you'll do a full length video on it.
Also check for radium paint if you haven't already
The sound it makes, it's like it's tap dancing. :)
That control panel seems to be wirelessly connected with me, because all the clicking and turning the knobs turns me on and warms me up... So sensual. Do I have a vintage electrical engineering fetish? Certainly.
Absolutely gorgeous... and no electronics! All electromechanical.
the HiFi sound, is ur. WiFi. :) (((♡)))
That is one gorgeous piece of equipment!
I think I have the camera that goes with this!
I think this is more reliable than an arduino. It is immune to noise
No wonder we needed 8 engines
For the K-17 Camera. Used by army air corp as well before USAF. I worked on these during the 80s in the USAF.
I sure would like to see more on this piece of equipment.
So that's where the StarTrek TOS computer standby sound came from... 😆 - Probably not. I guess at the time ANY computer had lots of clicky relais.
"Delay"... "Interval".... I want this to control the windshield wipers in my car... 😂
Great suggestion. That’s the ultimate application!
That co. Abrams instruments still exists. A 50yo co now.
Oh, that knob sound!!!!!!
Those are some immensely satisfying clicks
just amazing!
Thanks for sharing. 😉👌🏻
To ensure the enemy cannot plant false transmissions and fake orders, the CRM 114 is to be switched into the receiver circuit prior to receiving attack or attack cancellation orders.
Peace on earth or purity of essence, Gen. Ripper?
Retain those precious bodily fluids!
Funny thing I worked on the companion to this, just not the B52 version. This was used to provide the information the camera was there to record.
Amazing!
That's wicked cool
Wow , they did fine in dune without fancy computers and so did we.
I thought nothing could be big and heavy in aviation.
Counter argument: the B-52 itself…
Where can I buy one of those?? What a beast of a machine
This would make a cool as watch! :)
The noises of the knobs are priceless, not that rubber silent soft-touch quiet modern keypads or touchscreens....rubish, like David J. would say.
Cool!
That’s my style! 👍
Basically a time lapse mechanism...
wow. i love overengineerd stuff. thanks for sharing
Will you do a longer video on this please?
When you want to take your watch game to the next level. B)
Would have loved the option to full-screen this video.
All those old onboard electro-mechanical devices must have been quite a heavy load on a plane.
Should the exposures left counter be changing?
It is bomb proof. Very clunky. Its awesome.
badass
thats cool. can you play “Love Shack” on it tho?
Very effin cool! 😎
Nice video, but I think you had the camera the wrong way up :)
Mark 1
❤❤❤
really exists B-88
I wonder if this is for recon
DROPPING BOMBS my guess. Old aerial footage sure is filled with running films. I was curious about the timer, if it could sequence runs for as long as the bomb bay doors were open.
Probably for getting shots of the impacts for Bomb Damage Assessment
Very cool. And I like the shorts because I get to see more cool stuff that way. Those wanting only long form don't appreciate how much effort it takes and that it means rationing content.
Is it possible for you guys to take apart a CRM-114 from a B-52? That would be great !!
.......this is assuming he can get his hands on a crm-114, outside of a few people in the world who dont find this object too strange to own, i doubt marc has 1
@@frogz Plus, of course, it was just a prop. It does not exist outside of Dr. Strangelove.
Barometric, time and impact... Where's Major Kong?
knob feel likes this
Crap... where's the disarm.
Will your testing protocol include a bomb run? 😧
hrnnnng the switches have so much clunk I think you'd pick them up on sisemic equipment. they would have to give the tellite switches a run for their money.
MEIN FUHRER! I CAN VALK!
We must preserve our prescious bodily fluids!
So clicky... oooooo. Music
Yeah, I don't care what YT thinks is the next big thing. Shorts are Shhhhh...t.
Unless they're on women ;)
I look forward to the full video!
This **is** the full video! But yes...
@@CuriousMarc awwwwww.
:)
@@CuriousMarc awwww you sure you don't want to have a longer video of those clunks clicks and rotarys?
@@CuriousMarc except it is forced on us in a bad way on phones and a specific section of the tubes, i wouldnt mind shorts if they were suggested in the same way regular videos were, you can still find them in uploads and add them to your queue but i would prefer them just to list as regular videos and not a special looping version that is made for tall displays
