I know however when they do eventually reconcile it will be an incredibly beautiful and satisfying ending. I truly cannot wait till the second half to drop .

If he had courted her correctly instead of being unhinged and keeping to himself only to basically jump her at balls and interrupt her courtship with another man, she could have considered telling. I also think we should take in consideration that Violet's and Lady Featherington's (LF) advise to their children is often influenced by their own experiences. Violet had a love match and had a very happy and carefree marriage, so she has a very romantic and optimistic view on life. LF didn't exactly have the same journey, so she is more pessimistic and pragmatic about certain things. They represent both sides of the spectrum. From what we saw from that conversation in the trailer, I don't nessecerely feel like she's saying ladies SHOULD NOT HAVE dreams (although she might, we will see), but rather saying that ladies' dreams very rarely come true in the world they live in and that Penelope should be aware of this. Now, obviously I think that everything will turn out fine for Penelope and that Colin will be excepting in the end, but that is a very lucky situation to be in that not everyone gets. So, do I always agree with LF: absolutely not. But I understand where she is coming from and I respect her in her own way. I think LF's internal motto is something like: You can hope for the best if you want, but you better be prepared for the worst.

I have a theory I don’t think the confrontation we are seeing is the one where he finds out she is lady w because she is saying she can take care of herself and he is saying well then what good I am to you. That seems more like he feels he should be protecting her and if she can protect herself than what is his job as a husband. I think this confrontation is after they are married. I think this is after they have already gotten past the secret I think this has to do with her getting caught as lady w by the ton. Maybe she is trying to slip away from their home to go publish another column to unmask Cressida cause maybe he did stop her from doing it when he followed her or maybe Cressida is going to try to blackmail pen like In the book and she is trying to slip away to stop her somehow. I don’t know I got the feeling they were already married during that confrontation. Also the part he is sitting in the sofa and she is coming out of a bedroom. If they weren’t married no way in hell would she spend the night with him in a house alone. I know Polin like to dance around rules like they don’t apply to them but that would be a bit much even for them. It would be way too obvious that they have eaten the cake before the party.
I'm excited for the drama, buuuut I really hope there is a lot of romance and sweet/steamy scenes between Penelope and Colin. In most of the scenes Pen looks stressed as hell and I want her to be happyyyyyyy.

Thank you for reacting I am stressed and excited can’t wait to watch it, it looks like there is a scene where Colin kiss Pen in her LW clock so I think this will be after their discussion or arguments also I love Pen wedding dress I think it’s her wedding dress since its white we see it in the scene that has Francisca dance with John and Polin behind them dancing, this series even though we can tell it will have drama but this is the only season I am actually interested in the drama and I am sure I will rewatch part 2 many time this season has really became my favorite it was and still my favorite with my favorite couple I am happy we will have Kanthony and all the Bridgerton children will be there except sadly for Daphne we need her I wish she at least show up in one episode as a surprise.
The fact that Whistledown announces the engagement so rapidly, could be a huge tell and a mistake Pen makes in her excitement. If she writes it that night, and publishes the very next day, the circle of people who know is tiny and most of them are Bridgertons or Bridgerton staff, other than Pen and the footmen on her carriage. She appears to be writing wearing the same dress from the carriage, Benedict is reading it from Lady Tilly's bed (where we know he ended up that same evening), and the Featherington's find out from Whistledown as well, rather than from Pen herself. Colin finds her with ink on her hands, so he likely starts putting it all together, rather than anyone telling him. Why else would he follow her to the printers rather than confront her at home?

Just another servant girl, tired from a long day, or maybe on an errand for her mistress, in a hired carriage as a splurge to rest her aching feet, or to facilitate the speed her lady requires, would make her invisible to nearly everyone. No one would look twice. She snuck out to speak to Eloise, so if she went out the servant's entrance, she's in the clear

I have watched this trailer so many times already and am excited! Whistledown is power- whistledown is still Penelope it's just her more confident her- Penelope does not have a good home life , her sisters bully her, her mother is narsasistic and controls and belittles her, the ton openly mocks her, Penelope is able to be herself in a diifferent way and at a time when women had b=very little agency Penn's thistledown self allows her to claim some amount of her agency back! I get why she needs it and is clinging to it, it's become a form of freedom for and on some level I think she may believe she is worthless and nothing without it(low self esteem brought about by her family and how the ton has always treated her)

Hey, I am new and I have SO MANY thoughts. I had immediate anxiety watching what's to come, so much tension. Yes in the book, Colin discovers the truth when Penn is dropping off the next Whistledown paper in a shady part of town. He drags her to his carriage and then the carriage scene happens, 😉. Anyways, if you look closer to the dance number with Francesca you can see on the right side of the screen Polin in outfits that look like wedding finery. We haven't seen those outfits yet. I myself have watched this so many times and get more excited each time, cause I keep seeing new details. Like Benedict looks to be getting his heart broken, which should be how they lead us into his story next season.

As stoked as I am to finally get pt2, I'm mildly peeved - discomposed, even - at Colin being all "if you have a job, what's the point of _me_ then?" (Paraphrased, ofc) Especially when that's not even a factor in the book! :\ He already knew Pen = LW when he proposed, and his only reason for wanting her to stop was because he was worried about her reputation. Slightly regretting having read the entire series of Bridgerton novels. For my part, I prefer the original Penelope and Colin storyline. Still enjoying Series 3, but can’t get past the major plot differences. ☹️

No spoilers please if you know the order of events keep it to yourself. But ep 8 is maybe when they make up?
Colin will likely find out episode 6 but then Cressida will lie and say she is lady whistledown and bc Pen rightfully hates her she will put herself at risk to prove Cressida is a liar and Colin will be upset about it. If pen can forgive Colin for publicly embarrassing her and basically implying she is undesirable. And Eloise for outing her secret with Colin then Colin can forgive pen.

Oh my really you don’t see the chemistry…to me the chemistry is in those moments that they laugh together and they have their sweet kisses. It feels so real that they are friends who have fallen in love. I def do think that Colin and pen have chemistry. What Anthony and Kate had was this amazing passionate gaze for each other that is unmatched in a way. They have a very different kind of love story that is amazing to watch in season 2. Very different but I do agree amazing chemistry.

I have a theory I don’t think the confrontation we are seeing is the one where he finds out she is lady w because she is saying she can take care of herself and he is saying well then what good I am to you. That seems more like he feels he should be protecting her and if she can protect herself than what is his job as a husband. I think this confrontation is after they are married. I think this is after they have already gotten past the secret I think this has to do with her getting caught as lady w by the ton. Maybe she is trying to slip away from their home to go publish another column to unmask Cressida cause maybe he did stop her from doing it when he followed her or maybe Cressida is going to try to blackmail pen like In the book and she is trying to slip away to stop her somehow. I don’t know I got the feeling they were already married during that confrontation. Also the part he is sitting in the sofa and she is coming out of a bedroom. If they weren’t married no way in hell would she spend the night with him in a house alone. I know Polin like to dance around rules like they don’t apply to them but that would be a bit much even for them. It would be way too obvious that they have eaten the cake before the party.
This tension pierces the roof, omg, we are in for such a drama, the trailer is pure fire!

Thank you for reacting I am stressed and excited can’t wait to watch it, it looks like there is a scene where Colin kiss Pen in her LW clock so I think this will be after their discussion or arguments also I love Pen wedding dress I think it’s her wedding dress since its white we see it in the scene that has Francisca dance with John and Polin behind them dancing, this series even though we can tell it will have drama but this is the only season I am actually interested in the drama and I am sure I will rewatch part 2 many time this season has really became my favorite it was and still my favorite with my favorite couple I am happy we will have Kanthony and all the Bridgerton children will be there except sadly for Daphne we need her I wish she at least show up in one episode as a surprise.

The fact that Whistledown announces the engagement so rapidly, could be a huge tell and a mistake Pen makes in her excitement. If she writes it that night, and publishes the very next day, the circle of people who know is tiny and most of them are Bridgertons or Bridgerton staff, other than Pen and the footmen on her carriage. She appears to be writing wearing the same dress from the carriage, Benedict is reading it from Lady Tilly's bed (where we know he ended up that same evening), and the Featherington's find out from Whistledown as well, rather than from Pen herself. Colin finds her with ink on her hands, so he likely starts putting it all together, rather than anyone telling him. Why else would he follow her to the printers rather than confront her at home?

I always thought it odd that no one noticed her sneaking out at night, either with a Featherington carriage or a hired carriage picking her up, then I realized that her disguise, the maid outfit, makes her completely unremarkable. Just another servant girl, tired from a long day, or maybe on an errand for her mistress, in a hired carriage as a splurge to rest her aching feet, or to facilitate the speed her lady requires, would make her invisible to nearly everyone. No one would look twice. She snuck out to speak to Eloise, so if she went out the servant's entrance, she's in the clear

I have watched this trailer so many times already and am excited! Whistledown is power- whistledown is still Penelope it's just her more confident her- Penelope does not have a good home life , her sisters bully her, her mother is narsasistic and controls and belittles her, the ton openly mocks her, Penelope is able to be herself in a diifferent way and at a time when women had b=very little agency Penn's thistledown self allows her to claim some amount of her agency back! I get why she needs it and is clinging to it, it's become a form of freedom for and on some level I think she may believe she is worthless and nothing without it(low self esteem brought about by her family and how the ton has always treated her)

Hey, I am new and I have SO MANY thoughts. I had immediate anxiety watching what's to come, so much tension. Yes in the book, Colin discovers the truth when Penn is dropping off the next Whistledown paper in a shady part of town. He drags her to his carriage and then the carriage scene happens, 😉. Anyways, if you look closer to the dance number with Francesca you can see on the right side of the screen Polin in outfits that look like wedding finery. We haven't seen those outfits yet. I myself have watched this so many times and get more excited each time, cause I keep seeing new details. Like Benedict looks to be getting his heart broken, which should be how they lead us into his story next season.
Omg that’s what I do..I watch the scenes based on the outfits they are wearing. Like ok, she’s wearing this outfit in this scene..is this before or after he finds out haha! Literally breaking down the trailer. Hahaha!

As stoked as I am to finally get pt2, I'm mildly peeved - discomposed, even - at Colin being all "if you have a job, what's the point of _me_ then?" (Paraphrased, ofc) Especially when that's not even a factor in the book! :\ He already knew Pen = LW when he proposed, and his only reason for wanting her to stop was because he was worried about her reputation. And even at the end, he was like "YO LOOKIT MAH WIFE, THE AUTHOR" So I hope we do get there in the show.

@@shinshin1000 But in their dance scene (wedding dance) they look upset at each other, so I think he finds out before they get married, but he still continues to marry her despite being mad (especially since he’s the man, he can’t be the one to break off the engagement). In the trailer you can also see he is sleeping on the couch of their new home, so I think he’ll be mad for the entirety of maybe ep 7, and ep 6 is when he finds out? No spoilers please if you know the order of events keep it to yourself. But ep 8 is maybe when they make up?
Colin will likely find out episode 6 but then Cressida will lie and say she is lady whistledown and bc Pen rightfully hates her she will put herself at risk to prove Cressida is a liar and Colin will be upset about it.
If pen can forgive Colin for publicly embarrassing her and basically implying she is undesirable. And Eloise for outing her secret with Colin then Colin can forgive pen.
He will def forgive her..he is way too in love with her to not forgive her ! Like did pen mess up..absolutely. But they love each other tooo much to not end up together in this story.

Oh my really you don’t see the chemistry…to me the chemistry is in those moments that they laugh together and they have their sweet kisses. It feels so real that they are friends who have fallen in love. I def do think that Colin and pen have chemistry. What Anthony and Kate had was this amazing passionate gaze for each other that is unmatched in a way. They have a very different kind of love story that is amazing to watch in season 2. Very different but I do agree amazing chemistry.
