Awsome review, concise, and putting the gun through its paces. Was looking at a TAR on PSA deal fer 199 right now, but through other vid reviews, I was on the fence. TT seems like the better deal. Also earned your bad self a new subscriber
Thanks man! Hands down the TT12 is a better shotgun and way more reliable. I've got a TAR also that I've done quite a bit of internal work to it and it still is hesitant to run reliable on lower powered shells (bulk Walmart bird shot).
According to tokarev they are about the same thing just with a different hand guard. This is just the 2023 model with the new rail....they should all run the same
Currently have the TX3 pump. Very nice. You get what works for what you can afford. I would suggest folks quit playing politics and stock up for the party. Time is wasting.
Yeah man! I'm going to make a video about are down and reassembly soon. Unfortunately there is little to no information why this shotgun is way better than everything else at its price point.
I got last year's model for $199 from PSA today. It's the same gun with a different hand rail, same materials, and same fire control internals. Great video, can't wait to shoot mine 🎉
Awesome! The TT12 has a redesigned gas system that is completely different from the TAR12 shotguns though. The Tar is still a great shotgun, it just likes hotter ammo.
@@mobilegamersunite I shoot 3 gun so a majority of the time I use bird shot for steel and clays (the less recoil the better for follow up shots). Slugs, I like to keep it in the 1300 fps range, but the tt12 handles 1600's just fine.
@The_Hunan ahh that makes sense! I just got a RIA vrpf14, so I figure I would test them out together. The TAR looks like it would work well with slugs so I picked one up.
I just bought mine in Duncan (glad to see another SWOK person here, btw) yesterday and I could barely get mine to run with 1330s. I ran the same box of 1125 top gun blue box you did and mine didn't even try to cycle. Not even an eject and stovepipe. Just kept the bolt closed and had to manually cycle every shot. I'm glad to see yours is running well, though. I'm gonna try some lube and working the action to see if that'll help any.
Hmmm, I'd definitely add some more lube and keep going at it with hotter shells. You may need to get some of the thicker lube out of there they ship it with. Keep me posted
Then 19 round mags can be found at palmetto state and other numerous vendors. The 30 rounder was from tooth and nail but I don't know if they sell them anymore.
It does not. It's a proprietary lower. The upper is the actual serialized part of the gun. The only thing on the market that interchangeable with an lr308 lower is the genesis 12, and even some lowers won't work with their magazines
@@andrewhardman7520 the tt12 is the one you want over the tar for sure. It has a dual piston gas system and will run anything. It's fully ambi and you can swap the charging handle from either side.
@@The_HunanWinchester's Federal's and two other types of shells that have laying around no three inch shells whatsoever. I probably put 40 shotgun shells through it. Turn on all the shells I probably had three to four cycle through correctly.
You really want to run some hotter shells through it to break it in (1250fps or hotter). Oil the action real well as well as around the barrel. It may not hurt to put a little oil on the piston (it may cause more carbon to build up though).
Best Video on this so far.👍👍
Thanks!
May your shoulder Rest In Peace lol. Good job and review.

I like shotguns and have several of the more traditional ones. But this is the 1st one of this type that appeals to me. Great demo. Thanks.
Thanks! In its price point, this one is a winner.

Thx for the Tokarev review brother! New Sub!!!

@@The_Hunan good to know, thanks!
@@The_Hunan what do you use slow ammo for? Just wondering 🤔

I was on the fence about a Mac Arms 1014. But this Tokarev TT12 looks nice. It seems reliable.
What ammo will it run out of box oz and velocity
Where you get your magazines from
@@Saterica.williams they are rock island 19 rounders. Palmetto has them, or advanced tactical
Where are those doubles and triple extended magazine found?
Then 19 round mags can be found at palmetto state and other numerous vendors. The 30 rounder was from tooth and nail but I don't know if they sell them anymore.
Does this use an ar10 lower? Like a dpms lr308 pattern, the common one.
It does not. It's a proprietary lower. The upper is the actual serialized part of the gun. The only thing on the market that interchangeable with an lr308 lower is the genesis 12, and even some lowers won't work with their magazines
How does it feel compared to the TAR 12MP?
Less recoil and isn't picky about shells. I have a tar12 also and it doesn't like to cycle anything lower than 1250's
@The_Hunan thanks I was looking at both of them because I'm left handed so options are limited.

I see you are using 2 3/4” shells, Have you tried 3” shells. Any jamming?
I honestly haven't tried any in it yet.
Left side charging handle?...
You can put it on either side. It also has ambi controls for the mag release and bolt lock
@@The_Hunan thanks!..I ordered one,but I didn't know you could choose sides forthe handle ..
