Great video. I'm looking for a high temperature casting material that will basically be a substitute for machined aluminum. In your experience, what's the highest durometer silicone you have come across? I'm hoping to find something with viscosity that allows for easy pouring into a complex mold but also cures to a high hardness. Do you have a suggestion?

My concern about usual fillers to increase hardness is that they will reduce pourability. Thanks

You're a great teacher, and your content is just what I've been looking for. Hope to see more.

Oh, this is lovely info, thank you! I love math, haha.
Is it possible to combine hardnesses such that parts of the mold are harder and other parts are softer? (For example, a baby doll with soft cheeks but a firmer skull/soft tummy but firmer ribs/spine) If they’re all platinum cure and layered while curing, will they merge together, for example? Will it be a gradient of hardness levels or an abrupt difference? (Is it possible to achieve both depending on when you introduce the different hardness silicone?)
There are all sorts of videos of people making extra-extra soft silicone dolls-do you know if they’re probably adding silicone oil or slacker (or something else?) to achieve that?
Hope all the questions are okay. I’m trying to work out which products I would need to purchase for a project I’ve been thinking about.

Is it possible to cast a polyurethane part in two steps, first step with shore A40 let it cure and then the rest with A80? :)
