The moment i read about them breaking up,i broke into pieces. The werent a band to me they were an emotion. And like you said it wasnt an end of a band, it was an to a specific phase of our life. We listen to so many bands and filmy songs these days and yes there are numerous artists out there who have my respect. But the respect these guys have earned all these years i dnt think anyone can come close to it. 33 years without a controversy, 33 years being down to earth, even after getting all this fame. The simplicity in their music and their personalities. I can easily say strings were my friend, even though i havent talked to them lol butbi feel they werr part of my life❤️

First time I listened this euphony in 2014, and I became a life time fan of Faisal. His smoky voice is so full of mannerism, and urban rise vibe that puts any post 2003 kid on cult string fan list. This might be musically selfishness, but "ZINDA HOON" can't be delivered on mic or even live better than Faisal himself. Gosh, the dulcet texture of his voice sets the bars so freakin high for this song, and I think no one is gonna come close to his pitch.
I think after ZINDA HOON, strings were literally not in need to come up with anything else. This is a lifetime treasure they had given to the youth in India and Pakistan. And boy, look at the level of calmness and surreal happiness about their own work. Strings have been the poster boys of subcontinent pop rock and heavy metal rock. Now I get this, how and why it became a text book reference to have a black Ray-Ban even performing in full darks. Faisal sir is simply awesome. Man look at him, simple elegant but yet more trendy and classy than even movie stars.

Strings are everyone's favorite. I grew up listening to them. They are a part of my life and still can't believe that the journey has ended. 🥺 The biggest regret is that i never attended their concert. Much love and congratulations to them for making our lives good. Let's not forget the man behind strings song, the one who wrote their songs through out the career, Anwar Maqsood Sahab, father of Bilal Maqsood. If you guys don't know who is Anwar Maqsood, He is the host of the show loose talk (Acha to abba harmonium bajate thay?) The finest writer of our country.

I could have listened you all for hours, talking about strings and memories. This was the best tribute to string i have seen so far online. After these many days i was still panicking over strings disbandment. But believing what bhola said is comforting, just pretend nothing has happened to Strings. This mantra is the only way to go. 😐

I was in grade 4 when 'sar kiyay yeh pahaar' their first song came out...i feel like something has been ripped out of my life...but at least rhey are alive and well (rememebering the news about junaid jamshed)...wish them all the best...my whole life i have been listening to them...what is so special about them is they have been so responsible with their music and in their lives...have been a role model...their album 'thirty' also came out...you should dedicate a whole week to reacting to them only
Dur in PTV first-time. That was their comeback song. And what started after that was a much much much mature and excellent Strings. They had become boys to men.
Though I am more into Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, but I listen Pakistani Pop music for support, but Strings and Vital Signs were love, I have grown up listening Sar Kiye Ye Pahaar and when were school/7th or 8th grade Duur were released and it was the BOMB! literally it was the 2nd time when Pakistani music was revived!
Strings were formed in late 80s and when Sar Kiye Pahaar was released we must be new born, but we grown up listening to it. Very few people know strings were disband in 90s because they didn't found any space for them as Awaaz Band, Junoon and Vital signs were ruling the music scene (not much TV Channels, No TH-cam/FB etc.) but Vital Signs and Specially Junaid Jamshed forced them to make comeback, and rest is the history, they came back with Duur in 2000 (2 of their Band mates left), so Bilal and Faisal remake strings with few session players and SUCCESS SUCCESSS SUCCESS...
Note: Just for the information, This Red Bull Battle were held in 2018 between Ali Azmat and Strings and they released the videos when lock down started in 2020 (Corona), we spend time listening to it.
First of all thanks for the beautiful mink tribute. To be honest most of people do reactions for the likes or other stuff without knowing much. But you guys are so real and it comes straight out of your heart. So this is the only reactions channel i usually watch. Keep up the good work and also Love you strings. Good addition of maddy she knows lot about music.
I love these 2 performances of theirs. I'm glad you picked them. Indeed that Pepsi one had a powerful closing. I always go back to this version just because of the closing and the vibe.
This band is loved so much on both sides of the border, sometimes i wish that it would be so much if they Do a performance at the border with fans at both Parts rocking singing dancing together.

This was pure nostalgia! ❤️ Got very emotional listening to this live performance. ‘Mera bichhra yaar’ - the words just pull at the strings of your heart, especially after hearing about their split. 😪 What can one say about Strings? Their music was....IS...such a vital part of our lives, and associated with SO many memories. I’m so privileged to have met Faisal when his son Armaan was my student at a Karachi school a couple of decades back! My most precious memory would be the time he came to our class with his guitar and sang for the kids. ❤️ He especially sang Duur at my request - will NEVER forget that moment! Sar kiye ye pahaar and Duur are my all time favourites, but give me ANY strings song and I’m in 7th Heaven! Love, love these guys - Faisal, Bilal and their music will live on and on in our hearts forever! ❤️

Yeah I'm happy u raise this point ,rock music had english origins but when rock music enter Pak ,Pak rock stars transform in to their own signature style without copying english rock with deep lyrics ,other countries lack this transformation specially india ,most pop /rock singers was born in upper middle class families, because of this they don't care much abt money and focus on art that's y they always trend setters in industry,like naZia hassan,vital signs,haroon,fakhir

wait... what? I'm feeling like I've been living under a rock these past months... I was just checking out random reactions on your channel and came across this video. Wouldn't have know otherwise that they've parted ways. I grew up listening to them. I've still have the Duur cassette, that was the first album I ever bought as a kid. So many memories and emotions, it really is hard to say goodbye.

Hey jyo, Strings put out their last Album in 2019 called "Strings 30". It's kind of a celebration of their 30 years journey. It took them a whole year or more to put out all the songs of the album because there are total of 8 songs and every song has it's Official Video.
