You've got three generations of pilot wisdom in that seat, and it shows.

Congratulations, Tyler! You were lucky to learn from one of the best! Ron, I had the privilege of teaching my son to fly. I'd be thrilled to one day teach a grandchild...but I need one of those first!!

Brilliant Tyler , congratulations 😃 You had the added luxury of radio contact and observation from your instructor as well.
I went solo in gliders in 1995 at Le Blanc, near Poitier France, I was aerotowed Up to 3000ft plus when released, with the comparative higher speed of the tow plane compared to the glider, I made use of if by climbing till I reached my usual cruise speed of around 55kts and trimmed accordingly. I had a good look around, no radio, no GPS, no airfield!!!!!!💩
As my general direction from the airfield was south, I banked around looking for landmarks, below me was a couple of small lakes and a river to my port side. The main landmark that immediately springs to mind was a large Roman aquaduct at Poitier which I spotted to the West. Scanning across the horizon I could make out the large national park which I knew was just above Le Blanc and headed to that general direction. My solo flight was half an hour!!! Looking at maps much later I was in the area between Journet and St. Léomer, about 23km from the airfield!!! Considering tow speed of 85 knots, 10 minutes or so in tow, it works out at around 26km distance!
Still wondering to this day if I was setup!😅

Great job, Tyler! I don't fly, so I'm extra impressed. Lucky to have such a great mentor. 👍

Congratulations Tyler ! It is a great day when you solo and you did it in S.T.Y.L.E... No noisy Mac drone engine spitting & sputtering like your instructor had to ! Many safe flights !!

Nice. You need to zip up your hip belts down tight before you tension up the shoulders...if you have an accident like you have them here you'll just slide out under and forward...

Question sir: Flying a Calidus below freezing, will blade icing be a problem if weather is clear? Thanks...

It is great to talk yourself through what you’re doing. However, recording a video is another thing. No mention of conducting a touch and go and no alerting the helicopter departing underneath you that you are on final. Aviate, Navigate, Communicate. Otherwise beautiful to watch. Congrats on the third generation solo!
