  • #gardening #homestead #diy This is part 2 of making our new greenhouse with discarded trampolines that we sourced for free from the internet.
    UPDATE: We have been asked how we joined the tops as we didnt show this very well (camera and sound issues) We will do an update soon for you all.

    What a great idea, we are on it! Followed up with your tomato planting and care then your relish video, looking forward to giving that a go. Thanks for sharing.

      So nice of you. I would love to see your results. The relish is delicious. We have to stock pile it for friends and family 😆

    Love the math stuff dance. 😉 Great finding a way to doing as well but for a much more cost effective price. Can't wait to see when it turns into a greenhouse if and when the plastic makes it off the boat.

    It looks great 👍 I’m glad you used zip ties or you’d be unaustralian 😂😂 I love the idea of recycling/upcycling the trampolines🍺🍺

    I've been recently looking into building a hoophouse, and I was also interested in getting a trampoline for my kids... saw some wrecked trampolines on FB marketplace listed for free for someone to take away.
    I made the connection. Seems like I'm not the first to see the potential.

    Great one , well done guys , it’s far to hot here in my neck of the woods to garden comfortably so I’m waiting for April .
    Massive savings 🤩
    Ps , zippy ties are holding my gear box together at the moment 😂

    Great video! I got one trampoline and collecting some more. Do you have to get the same size? I have 15 feet right now. Can I mixed with 14 feet?

    • @SweeniesCreekFarm
      @SweeniesCreekFarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi sorry for the late reply. You could use different sizes that arent too far apart. You will need to cut the bigger one down to get a similar arc otherwise it will be wider or taller.

    Beautiful job! I am currently collecting frames myself. There is one point of construction that I haven't wrapped my head around. At the end, you showed the ridge pole join, but I couldn't tell how the connection was made on what had been the top of the trampoline ring.

      One side uses the fitting for the leg, but how is it connected on the other side? Is there a bracket of some sort?

    • @SweeniesCreekFarm
      @SweeniesCreekFarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      some of the joins needed a bit of angle grinder engineering. Some poles had half of the tube cut off and then flattened out to make a connected flange. Others used the frame leg sockets but they rarely lined up and other used bolt based bracket that was used on the trampoline to hold poles onto the round frame. We had a problem with our camera when we filmed this part of the construction but when we extend it or build another one, we will make sure we show you all the tricks we used.

      @@SweeniesCreekFarm Thanks so much!

      @@SweeniesCreekFarm I am thinking about making two-rib sets, with complete leg assemblies connected 'foot to foot'. Super strong. Then the ridge pole would have to be somehow run between the sets. Hmm.

      Sorry for such a late reply. It depends on how long you want it to be. In this one we used 4 in total. Thanks for watching :)
