The more I watch people play this, the more I want to play this.
The more I do play this, the more I want to give up and watch a playthrough.
Relatable.
It was a fun game, even with outdated graphics. Not really interested in the 3ds version,but I am interested in replaying this.

@@BenjaminAnderson21 it’s good, it kind of has an unnecessary (arguably off putting) action heavy vibe to it, it’s not bad by any means, but definitely not what you’d expect from a reimagining of this game especially if you’ve watched or played the original version.

Isn’t it crazy how that’s the only non-Metroid “boss” in the game?? Like the Metroids pretty much wiped everything else out and so it hid away to protect itself, the irony of Samus killing it makes me feel bad for the poor guy 🤣

Why do the zeta and omega metroids fly in this?
The Zeta and Omega were supposed to be programmed to attack on land, but the developers couldn't, so they left them coded to fly like the alpha and gamma.
However, in the remake Samus Returns, they finally managed to program the Zeta and Omega to attack on land.
I hope they make a Metroid themed Game and Watch, and put this on it. Wish I would have had the chance to play it on Gameboy when I was younger.
What style do you prefer for a Metroid 2 remake: 2D like Metroid, Zero Mission, Super Metroid and Fusion or 3D like the Metroid Prime trilogy and for which console 3DS, Wii U or Nintendo Switch?

actually... no. It was a failed clone. Omega Metroid-X was much weaker than an Actual omega Metroid. mainly, Ice is it's weakness while only the larval metroids are weak to that and the others aren't.
For all we know, the whole "older forms' immunity to ice" thing could be retconned out (either by Fusion, or by Samus Returns). At the same time, it clearly wasn't weaker, taking out a whole energy tank in a single swipe. Also, its inability to fly (which original was only done to the Queen) might also be due to either retconning, or possibly the fact that it is anchoring itself down to avoid being sucked into space.
the swipe, yes it's clear that it is as strong as the original omega Metroid. but this omega Metroid is a clone. so it has some failures. the only failure we see is that it is vulnerable to ice. although it is strong, if not stronger than the original omega Metroid, it is more vulnerable than the original Omega Metroid. who knows? maybe Nintendo forgot about that.

FUCK THIS OUTDATED ORIGINAL! There's a reason why the official remake existed in the first place. Samus Returns is not only the official definitive way to play Metroid 2, but also a first proper good Metroid game in a long time after THAT FUCKING DISASTER THAT WAS OTHER M & FED FORCE! TWO OF THOSE GAMES BEING WITHOUT THE DOUBT THE ABSOLUTE WORST METROID GAMES EVER EXISTED! THOSE TWO ARE SO FUCKING SHITTY THAT NOT ONLY THEY'RE THE CONTRIBUTING REASON FOR THE "DARK AGE OF METROID" FOR SEVERAL YEARS, BUT ALSO ONE OF THOSE RESPONSIBLE TO NINTENDO'S DOWNFALL! EVEN AM2R AND AXIOM VERGE 1 EXISTED TO OPPOSE NINTENDO'S HORRIBLE MISHANDLING ON METROID! IT'S THAT BAD! But I digress. My point is that don't play the original Game Boy game, it sucks major ass due to aging like shit thus outdated by today's standards. Samus Returns is the official best way to experience Samus' mission to eradicate all Metroids on SR388 and her meeting with the Baby Metroid despite the little retconning from Proteus Ridley's interference which causes the dialog of Metroid Fusion's intro to be a little messed up. My point in that remake is that you just skip the cutscenes just to have a fun time there. Because as it stands after the fucking disaster of Other M & Fed Force, the story has lost it's greatness as it used to be in the past.
