Thank you for uploading this! I remember watching the original broadcast (in 1976!) when I was younger and have looked for it for years. The cinematography is simply amazing. Stouffer was the GOAT.
@@maddawgnollYeah, it's kind of confusing, but 94 was when it was re-broadcast under the Wild America banner. The documentary was almost 20 years old at that point. 😂
10:27 - You can tell the camera guy was a mere 10-20 yards away from that grizzly fight. At one point hes so close that he has to move position to get out of the way. Absolutely epic.
@@WildAmericaAnimalChannel they are brave and fearless just like the movie. Wish they had a part 2. Or something. Make 1 film and show the full circle of all the stuff they have seen. Wild America 2. But playing themselves........
@@nyelement007 mmm I like that idea. well, we will be posting more yummy animal vids shortly so ... at least there's that. I'll look into our library to see if we have anything along the lines of what you just described.
I wish I met him or talked to him. I never meet anyone famous I admired. And I have 1 question. I'm not going there but is the cave real? Is there really a place where there's a bunch of bears like that all together. Maybe Yellowstone somewhere? Or Alaska where's the population is really dense? Idk I can't figure it out.... It seems possible but more like a myth also.
Good question. That would be amazing. As far as I know, Marty is enjoying retirement. Not sure whether he’s thinking about doing more shows. But we will let you know if he is/does.
Golden apple snails from the Amazon have been introduced for cheap protein around the world. In Florida they made there from the aquarium trade, Considered an invasive species they have saved the snail kites which are evolving longer beaks to take advantage of the bigger snails.
I was slightly disappointed to find out the 1997 feature film had little to do with the real life circumstances surrounding this documentary. But that's Hollywood for you.
The movie Wild America brought me here.
Me too
Me too!!!😂
It was a excellent movie

This did not air until 1977, not 76
@Big_Hoss777 The original air date was May 1, 1976 via IMDB.
What's crazy about this whole comment thread. The description says release date 1994

Great and interesting video. I really wish our modern world had a better appreciation for the fact death gives life.
His excellent spoken English, without any hype or over pronounced wording, like you hear in today's videos, very enjoyable. Thank you.
As Marty says until next time enjoy our wild America.

It is very likely that those were not wild grizzlys. A lot of footage in this video is staged.
This brings back memories
I grew up with wild America I watched the movie and the t.v. series. Now I have the complete seasons of wild America on DVD.
The mountain lion hunting scene was cool to see. That's a hard one to catch on camera.
We need another Marty.
He's the best.

Where’s Marty?
Hi Jeremy, the episode was directed and photographed by Marty even though he isn't featured front of camera. Thanks for your comment.
다양한 동물들이 모이는 모습은 참으로 소중합니다

Some of these scenes were later used in his half-hour-long episodes.
David Attenborough once said he is the first person to witness bobcat fishing I bet he doesn't watch this one
Where is the cave of a thousand bears?

Robert Redford?? Where’s Marty??
The Short Tailed Schrew is venomous.
Had no idea.
This was going to be a really good documentary up until he started talking about early man as monkeys 🙄🙄🙄 come on 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Narrated by Robert Redford
It's a movie
So do I, was born in 1963.
Redford, your delivery is way to dry, sounds like an AI voiceover, impart ''something'' on it or pass it on.
Filmed 31 years ago...
Hunters in jail
Why is the video so long 😡😡😡😡😡😭😭😭😭😭🤬🤬🤬🤬
because it's a special episode. if you prefer the shorter ones, just check the title for 'special' to avoid the longer ones
It was made in an era where people didn't have tictoc brain. 😅
@arronlaceration lol
