16:29 I'm with Alex here, I put in over 300hrs before I was ready to face Ganondorf, simply because I didn't want the game to end and although you can keep playing after, it doesn't feel quite the same and I have less motivation to complete things after that. So I tried to do as much as possible before, and just kept putting the final boss off!
That's me as well! I'm about 100 hours in, but not even halfway done :)
I can agree to that somewhat - but I'll be honest. That's simply because Tears actually has _Fun Zelda stuff_ to do!
Like actual Dungeons. Whereas Breath was a never-ending spiral of cope (I spent just over 100+ hours desperately trying to find where any real Dungeons were before uninstalling the game.)
@@netweed09 In the first hours I thought breath of the wild was still gonna be better than tears of the kingdom. But yeah the one dungeon I've played now, convinced me that totk is so much more improved
@@wouterdutch4706 Ikr?? 👍💯 The thing I always notice is the people who say they dislike Tears always say the same generic; ''I could not get into it'' or ''the Story didn't do it for me''. I can never understand those people after We got Breath that literally did _nothing_ apart from acting as the Perfect tech demo to announce the Switch with a bang. Don't get me wrong: thats still very _important_ , but as a Zelda game? It blows. Important =/= Fun.
I did beat Ganadorf hoping for a post game but there is none - I do regret a bit doing the boss fight but it's a glorious one. I have too many other games on my list but need to get to some of these side quests
How Smart I Am, a Summary: seeing games on this list and thinking, "Oh, that looks neat, I wonder if it's on Switch."

What I love about these videos is: everyone has different answers, and there's always a game I forgot about that I get to rediscover. I completely forgot about FE: Engage and WarioWare. Still haven't gotten to Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. I spent so much time with Zelda, Baldur's Gate, Dredge, and Dave the Diver, I didn't get around to finish everything I wanted to. 😅 Many thanks for such a great year, Zion!

I remember when Zion joined Nintendo life, I was kinda frustrated and just missed Alex. but nowadays I get very excited to click on a Zion video :)
When TotK came out, my then fiance (now wife) would just have a video chat up while we both played through... then we'd mute our mics during cutscenes to avoid spoilers. 385 hours in and I could still do more.
I'm doing exactly what Alex is doing as well. I'm nearly 230 hours in TotK and still won't face Ganondorf. I want to at least finish exploring the Depths before I go to the final fight, despite having been ready for it for a long time now. That's because I know that as soon as I complete the main story, I'll move on to other games (if only because of how large my backlog is).
I love Sega is revisiting Jet Set Radio. We probably have Bomb Rush Cyberfunk to thank for that.

oh Alex, I understand exactly how you feel about Tears of the Kingdom....I played well over 500 hrs before finally going to fight the final boss
7:10 other versions don't have a 60fps mode cuz the game just runs natively at 60fps on every other platform. I actually keep this off cuz when i turn on the camera function it messes with the framerate and it even crashed the game once on switch. Very rare but yeah, still an issue for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk on switch, even tho that's what I bought the limited physical version on, bought it at release on PC cuz the game's mod scene is Crazy good!

I didn't fight the final boss in Zelda: TotK until I did everything I wanted to do in the game. That ended up being 420 hours.
for me it was Honorable mentions because they arent full games : Tales of Arise and Xenoblade 3 DLC

When totk came out I loved it so much, but after awhile I didn’t care, like i guess it’s just because the sky islands were disappointing for me
For some reason I had to shout "WHEEEEEEELS" everytime I played Wheels.
Quite different guide and that’s what I love . Some guys really feel like they been for years.
Wario ware Move it needs more attetion,is't a really great spiritual succesor to Wario ware Smooth Moves
I did not mesh with 3 Houses at all, so I am very sceptical about Engage.
Might pick it up at some point if I remember, but there is so much on my plate at the moment.
They are very different games though. In fact most people love one while hating the other.

Tears of the Kingdom is my number 1. Such a fantastic game. I still haven't beat it I still have a lot to do the amount of content is insane.
I enjoyed it, but I still think I had a better experience with BotW. Glad to hear I'm in the minority, though.

Fire Emblem: Engage is such a funny game to me. When I beat it, I called it "A perfect 5/10".
Three Houses is my favorite Fire Emblem game, one of my favorite games of all time. However, I feel like it's gameplay left some things to be desired. It was very good, but part of it felt off. Engage fixed that in the best way. In terms of gameplay alone, it's not just the best Fire Emblem game in my opinion, but one of the greatest games ever made. The gameplay is within the top ten games I'd say have near to perfect gameplay. I LOVE it! And it's good music too, so cant go wrong there.
But dear God, my praises sure stop there. The character design ranges from decent to god awful. Especially the villains. I HATED thier designs (except for the ones that were so obviously going to defect to the good guys). Zephia has probably the worst design of any character I've seen......ever. Griss was just plain annoying. And the story feels like they had a great idea, but decided to stop writing halfway through the rough draft and slapped something together at the last minute. Story wise, Engage is one of the worst games I've ever played.
Fire Emblem Engage is a perfect 5/10.

Geez...a bit overkill on TOTK - I didn't bother with it as I got bored with BOTW. I don't think these new Zelda titles even compare to Ocarina and Wind Waker which are a couple of my favorite games of all time.

I love your list but...Sea of Stars??? I don't get ANY of the love. Sure it has beautiful art and music, but the characters, story and combat are so...horrible. It makes me questions how many JRPGs people who love this game have played.

Did you understand that there was a 4th person who made sure there were no duplicates? If there was then one person would have to change the game? I didn't listen to the whole video but I assume everybody had to make a change.
TotK is a slog. Started off fun, but fell off so hard. The game design is such a mess. Far from the worst game I've ever played, but definitely the most disappointing after the initial hype. BotW is leagues better.
