Come With me, and you'll be in a WORLD, of imagination, take a look, and you'll see, that we are bent on world domination. Anyone, opposing us, will be killed, by decimation, and yes, all of this, was entirely my creation.
Come with me and you'll be in a world of depression There is no life i know to compare with pure reality Living there you'll be free if you're truely happy If you want see paradasie simply look around and search it anything you want to do forget it If you wanna change the world welcome to hell there is no meaning
This song makes me wanna cry. I feel like I'd rather sleep and imagine up more things. I'd write and write the stories of the citizens of my imagination... Sometimes I like to believe every story written down or thought of exists as a reality, and the writer would be the "god" who makes those characters, all in a separate world.
"Pure Imagination" is a song from the 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. It was written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley specifically for the movie and does not appear in the original book by Roald Dahl or the 2005 film adaptation by Tim Burton. It was sung by Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka).
This is how i think of this world, it's twisted and cruel, so I let my imagination out, I act like I'm living a cartoon, call me bonkers, that's your opinion, but honestly I rather live in my imagination rather then this world... It's just... Geh... You get my point...
After the passing away of Gene Wilder this past Sunday (today is 8/31/2016), it's really awesome to see just ho which this one song has affected and touched so many diverse people across the world...
whenever i hear this, i imagine Wonka being already pretty old, singing this to an grown up Charlie who's the current owner of the Factory, remembering how things even started, just before Charlie shows Wonka a golden ticket and talls him that "the story repeats itself"
the person on the bench is sitting down and imagining that they were in a better world. however there is no way they'd ever reach it, its very far away... so they can only dream. this and the song makes the atmosphere heavy with melancholy.
This song just has the feeling of amazement ever. I love it so much for no reason at all. I don’t even know where I first heard the song, I just knew this song for so long ever since I was young even though I don’t remember where I heard it first even my friends know this song. Fiona has probably the best voice ever.
Awesome version! "Pure Imagination" is a song from the 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. This would be perfect for an introduction to a futuristic sci-fi city through the eyes of a wide-eyed protagonist who's never seen such a place. The location is mesmerizing but with just a tad bit of grunge to give you a feel of mystery, like things aren't as perfect as they seem. The protagonist will be toured around the city by a bombastic and easily likable, yet hard-headed and arrogant female supporting character, who through certain circumstances, ends up becoming the love interest. She will be played by Jennifer Lawrence. Then, without the notice of our leads, there emerges from the shadows a sinister looking figure, who we later find out is the top spy for the notorious crime lord who now bought off the city's equivalence of the authorities and the judicial court system so that he may shape that city into his own liking. He currently has so much power that he only needs to lift a finger to make his problems disappear. He shall be played by Robert De Niro, as he can easily give off a soprano vibe. After De Niro's character confirms the target, he green lights the spy to go in for the strike. The spy (who will be played by Jason Statham) then ends the communication and makes his way through the crowd. Lawrence's character emerges out of a small restaurant with foreign-looking food for the protagonist and herself, when she notices a figure advancing through the densely-packed crowd toward the protagonist. She realizes what's about to happen and gets to him before the spy does. She grabs the protagonist by the arm and with little explanation she tells him to run. They maneuver through the urban jungle of chaos as the spy is right on their heels. Eventually they lose him through the alleyways. The protagonist finally asks Lawrence's character why they were being chased and she tells him that he's the key to bringing down De Niro's character. She says that she's part of a group of freedom fighters that have been trying to bring him down for years and the best option rests within the mind of the protagonist (insert sci-fi explanation here). He feels used and betrayed but his sense of justice eventually persuades him to help. Now they have to journey to the rebels' headquarters through a city that can be used against them in a heartbeat.
+Daniel Preciado I really like the original also Willy Wonka a disillusioned, isolated, and quite miserable man opens his house and factory to the outside world to give humanity a second chance. He is just trying to recapture his innocence and the childlike wonder he once had. For a moment when he sings the song he almost believes it.
Nicholas Dark like the back story, a girl swelling into a blueberry, a boy being streched by a taffy puller, a boy being sucked up a tube full of chocolate, creepy oomph lopas, a weird room shrinking and almost crushing people, a crazy boat going NOWHERE?!?!?!?!?!?!
I saw the ad with the scarecrow and I was like. I MUST FIND WHO DID THIS, because it clicked with the sorta of depressing melody they had in the original.
Nova Votum same my ELA teacher showed us this for a learning thing and everyone except my best friend cried my friend who didn’t cry knew this song from Willywonkas chocolate factory and she laughed
this song was my childhood song and everytime i hear it i just want to remember evetything i did and like i start to cry hearing this song.... so beutifull
I loved the original so much I bought the Depp movie. Managed to get half way through, pulled the DVD out of the player and sailed it into the garbage can! It usually doesn't pay to mess with perfection.
While you guys are talking about Gene being better then Depp which is true, I just though about a story for a movie. It's about a sentient, mother-like creature risking her life for the safety of a orphaned child that will soon be an artist. This song and Undertale (which I don't like that much, BTW.) inspired me to think of this idea. And one more thing, most of the movie takes place in a factory, a hospital, and a carnival. And finally, there's a lot reference to literature, which include Coraline, Miss Peregrine, and mostly Charlie and chocolate factory and many others.
Andre Hernandez Wow, that's pretty original. I actually thought about Miss Peregrine when I was reading your last comment. Totally fits the song. Why don't you write about it first? I'm writing a story on Wattpad.
I came here due to childhoods, but this version seems like what the original song SHOULD of been. The original one was suppose to be where wanka is kinda forever alone and he doesn't like our world so he made his own, because he was different. Also I heard this is the scarecrow video which was AMAZING with this music. Fiona Apple props to you!
I use this song to escape all the pressure of getting good grades, living in a world of terror, violence, discrimination, and being nice even when people bring you down.I may be young to say this because I'm 14 but his is reality and I hope to one day escape it...
stole my words. but it seems like your mindset to escape will lead you to drug abuse path... i already walked that one, i'm telling you in advance it's not worth it. you'll only get scarred more & more. the healthy way i found is the clicĥe one, but it worked for me. Love, a deep, good and healthy relationship where your SO cares about you deeply. goodluck!
come with me and you'll be in a world of no imagination take a look and you'll see into your broken nation ... if you want to view paradise simply close your eyes and dream it
The thought I have while listening to this is that like a kid gets bullied and he eventually snaps and he sees the world in a completely different way and he kills the bullies. HEY KIDS! STAND UP FOR YOURSELVES AND DON'T LET ANYONE EVER BULLY YOU!
Okay, I know that this has nothing with Undertale and I know the fact its pretty much everywhere in the internet. But still... I imagine Toriel singing this song.
+Dr. Ahera Well, I just though of that, I even thought of her being a female Willy Wonka. Also this something from someone who doesn't like Undertale that much and thinks it could have been done a lot better. (aka me)
+Dr. Ahera Heck I even come out with the idea of her just walking around The Chocolate Room and singing this song while everyone else is eating the candy. And at some point, after explaining the Chocolate waterfall, Asgore tells her if he can at least drink one spoonful of the molten chocolate, she says no, in which he replies "Then why is HE doing it?".
BARRETT M82 (U.S.A.) -The M82, standardized by the US Military as the M107, is a recoil-operated, semi-automatic anti-materiel rifle developed by the American Barrett Firearms Manufacturing company. Designated as a heavy SASR (Special Application Scoped Rifle), it is used by many units and armies around the world. It is also called the "Light Fifty" for its .50 BMG (12.7Ã-99mm NATO) chambering. The weapon is found in two variants, the original M82A1 (and A3) and the bullpup M82A2. The M82A2 is no longer manufactured, though the XM500 can be seen as its successor. The M82 is a short recoil semi-automatic firearm. When the gun is fired, the barrel initially recoils for a short distance, before being securely locked by the rotating bolt. After the short travel, a post on the bolt engaged in the curved cam track in the receiver turns the bolt to unlock it from the barrel. As soon as the bolt unlocks, the accelerator arm strikes it back, transferring part of the recoil energy of the barrel to the bolt to achieve reliable cycling. Then the barrel is stopped and the bolt continues back, to extract and eject a spent case. On its return stroke, the bolt strips the fresh cartridge from the box magazine and feeds it into the chamber and finally locks itself to the barrel. The striker is also cocked on the return stroke of the bolt. I picture this song being played while a mad scientist is creating an army of undead and as they destroy city to city turning others and or eating them and the mad scinentist walking throught the chaos smileing and just luaghing at what he has created....
I get your point and I once thought that too, he took his imagination and used it to create "something that defies explanation", yes, I just quoted the song ._.
I used to have musically before it was called til too and I used this sound I used to make with my lps and I’ve been trying to find this audio for soooo long and idk but my fav part is 0:39
if you have seen scarecrow, i thought of what this song could be saying. its like what happened in the video. just like food can be tainted, imagination can be too. so keep it pure.
I love how this song has that feeling, where if you watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (-I haven't o3o-), it doesn't feel as joyful. But if you haven't, it still has that feeling...and the song is written to be this way because of that commercial.

Come With me, and you'll be in a WORLD, of imagination, take a look, and you'll see, that we are bent on world domination.

This sounds like it should have been the 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate factory theme. Creepy and beautiful at the same time.
Was just thinking it's definitely got the Tim Burton vibe and reminds me a lot of Lana Del Rey for Maleficent
naomi walton it is from there
Thank you someone actually listens
Too bad this song cover was released 8 years later.
this is from the first one tho
I can't believe so many people don't know where this song is originally from... that upsets me.

This song makes me wanna cry. I feel like I'd rather sleep and imagine up more things. I'd write and write the stories of the citizens of my imagination...

I just imagine a twisted version of Wily Wonka whenever I hear this song. Something American McGee would do.......that should happen.
An American M. twisted version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, except Charlie would be the victim.
+Jane Crocker And that Augustus, Violet, Veruca, and Mike should be boss fights, if they ever make a game.

Daniel you are a God
I'm considering collaborating with a friend to make this a book. Hopefully he's not too busy with his own stuff.

THE MOVIE IS SOOOOOOO DARK!!!!!! it scares me.
Willy Wonka? Chocolate? Endless supply of lollies?

Nicholas Dark @FUN FACTS/RANDOM QUESTIONS is the same person.

If they ever make another Charlie and Chocolate Factory movie, I want this song to make a appearance in the credits, or The Chocolate room.
I loved the original so much I bought the Depp movie. Managed to get half way through, pulled the DVD out of the player and sailed it into the garbage can! It usually doesn't pay to mess with perfection.
+ThePianoMan1953 He doesn't even compare with Gene.

I use this song to escape all the pressure of getting good grades, living in a world of terror, violence, discrimination, and being nice even when people bring you down.I may be young to say this because I'm 14 but his is reality and I hope to one day escape it...
*this
your not the only one.
such nice name for such a mean sentence
We will all escape it one day my good friend
stole my words. but it seems like your mindset to escape will lead you to drug abuse path... i already walked that one, i'm telling you in advance it's not worth it. you'll only get scarred more & more. the healthy way i found is the clicĥe one, but it worked for me. Love, a deep, good and healthy relationship where your SO cares about you deeply. goodluck!

Who's here from the Microsoft Surface vid?
you know it boi
me
Me
come with me and you'll be
in a world of no imagination
take a look and you'll see
into your broken nation
...
if you want to view paradise
simply close your eyes and dream it
thumbs up if "the scarecrow" brought u here
matt thomas me
The Wings of Fire Blaze MAP brought me here
sounds so sick and twisted....i love it
Literally the only good cover of this song.
Bullshit. Josh Groban.
+samuraistalin I rest my case.
+Jordan Montenegro Hey, if you wanna admit you have no taste...
+Javeri Raj my name is tori
It's an opinion doods.
Never noticed how beautiful this song was
there is no life i know that compares to pure imagination
our lives drab all across dabbing through out the entire nation
I actually sang that just now
+Nona Mouse just to be funny
Yeah
Eniarrol Enna HAJAHAJJXFJN
The thought I have while listening to this is that like a kid gets bullied and he eventually snaps and he sees the world in a completely different way and he kills the bullies. HEY KIDS! STAND UP FOR YOURSELVES AND DON'T LET ANYONE EVER BULLY YOU!
Okay, I know that this has nothing with Undertale and I know the fact its pretty much everywhere in the internet. But still...
I imagine Toriel singing this song.
Btw, This cover of Pure Imagination is beautiful.
Lol I know what you mean
+Dr. Ahera Well, I just though of that,
I even thought of her being a female Willy Wonka.
Also this something from someone who doesn't like Undertale that much and thinks it could have been done a lot better. (aka me)
+Dr. Ahera Also...
I don't know what you mean.
Heard this cover the first time for hannibal S3 promo and I was literally mindblown
I imagine this being in a movie trailer soon
Ndesire Like another Charlie and the chocolate factory remake?
Ugh no, let's let that Johnny Depp version be the last and let it die in obscurity
Tim burton
Who thinks this song goes great with the game Portal?
*rises hand slowly* it sort of fits
Gosh yes. That's exactly my thoughts!
It does
Yah makes me think of what Wheatley would think of GLaDos' s world.
SuperCaleb360 no i just picture this song and like a compilation of apeture in portal 1 compared to how it is in 2
this version of the song makes me cry :'(
Best version by far. Fiona forever!
Life brought me here
This is a masterpiece, what a unique twist!
My friend says this my song because I have "A huge colorful, and beautiful." imagination.
It's song is so BEUTIFUL
I had about a year searching for this version of the song
loving the forrest gump background
Reminds me of Alice Madness Returns or American McGee's Alice. A twisted wonderland...
True
hauntingly beautiful
Thanks, Microsoft.
I want the microsoft version!

I love how this song has that feeling, where if you watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (-I haven't o3o-), it doesn't feel as joyful. But if you haven't, it still has that feeling...and the song is written to be this way because of that commercial.
