Wonderful interview. Devin seemed so relaxed, and you asked questions that got unique answers from him. Very insightful stuff, loved it!
Devin is a true gem. his sense of humor and style and intelligence is unmatched by other metal musicians. i honestly think he's the most creative and amazing metal artist of all time.
I don't know much of Devin's music (I only own Synchestra) but holy cow I can listen to him speak all day. His proficiency in expressing himself makes me want to dive head first into his music. He's no rock 'n roll dummy!
Deadhead will always be my favorite song of all time.
I have seen a lot of interviews with Devin and they all confirm one thing, the man is genius on so many levels, just focus on the way he constructs his sentences when answering.
Devin is doing what a lot of metal bands don't do and thus loses a lot of fans. He evolves and it's a scientific approach to making an awesome sound
His explanation of Metal in it's live form as a fundamental tribal moment resonates deeply for me. Was never able to put it into words.
I think Devin gave more than something fun. I would call his music 'metal of hope'

Fucking A!! This guy is so damn brilliant. Probably one of the most articulate people I've ever heard. And he's not pretentious at all. He's just wise as fuck.
So refreshing to hear a metal dude talk who actually isn't an idiot, and doesn't say all the same boring stuff like all the others.
I went to my first ever devin concert earlier this year and it was hands down the greatest experience. His fans are humble, social, accepting, intelligent people and its so refreshing to be a part of that family
I really connected with Devin when he said that de didn't knew who the fuck he is and that the process of finding out and sharing that is his legacy to the World. love that
