It's a shame this mod has been infected by stooped noobs. They don't understand the secret ways of how players work as a team. They say it's 'gay' which I highly disapprove of. I think it's an amazing game.
I knew that the company would prevail on the 270 something bot charge. The Battle of Thermopylae shows that, if a pass is narrow enough, even a small force can hold off an entire company. In this case, the road was narrow enough that a small shield wall protected Helms Deep. The logic behind it, if anyone cares, is simple. A primitive fighting force, such as this one, can only fight with a select number of men. The Infantry, in this case, could fit, what, 6 men on the front line? Of course, there are archers raining down living Hell, but the shields were adequate cover from the arrows, whilst their archers disposed of the enemy marksmen. Accept my sincere apologies if I mislabeled a troop type, as I am not knowledgeable on the lore and details of LoTR.
This mod was so much better in its earlier days, idk what happened but the models, music, and mechanics have changed so much and it's nowhere near as fun
Thorulf Scottson i play a lotr mod called the last days of the west (or simply tld). It's pretty good, you can play both good and evil side, and it has a unique economy thing like, you should try it out
