Glad too. Sorry I couldn't keep being a Patreon patron. Had other priorities for, and a lesser amount of, my disposable income at the time.

Did your dad ever buy himself an old Ford? I can still fix him up with a 69 Ranchero!

Good job, one nice benefit working at an auto shop is using a lift for personal auto repairs! Great job Ellie!

When I had my second Falcon, a 68 with a 289 V8, I had an oil leak, had the car up on ramps and cleaned the engine, and it appeared to be leaking at the gasket. So I removed it and reinstalled it. I still had the leak. I worked harder at cleaning the engine and inspecting for the leak. It turned out to be the pressure sensor. That was a plug similar to a sparkplug in appearance. I bought a new one and installed it. No more problem. Your transmission problem reminded me of it.

At 00:08. I make that same noise when I mess something up, but usually followed by some colorful language I learned in the service. Too funny Ellie! You are in good company.

Nice job on identifying the leak and learning your mistakes, if it were mine and I knew I was going to keep it, I would have put in a drain plug kit for next time I changed my transmission filter! Your boss should have suggested this too!

Good gosh! It's great to have a REAL lift to do these things, isn't it? When I was an active-duty Air Force guy, there was a place on the base where I could rent a stall with a lift and tools to work on my car by myself. Like you, I learned A LOT by doing this. I wonder if there are places for civilians to go and rent stalls with a lift... I am SO happy you not only have this resource as a result of your job, but that you can also SUCCEED in diagnosing and repairing the problem. A simply stellar result! Aloha!

AWESOME job Ellie. Take it from a vetrean trans builder, banging out the pan like you did was good. FYI...check the bolts on the band servos to make sure they are tight too, and the modulator as well. Tthes are promblem spots as well for leaks on the C-4;s....MOPAR 4 EVER.

Good job on the pan gasket replacement 👍🏿... Another place to keep an eye out for leaks is the Servo and band adjustment nuts. They're NOTORIOUS for leaking and blowing fluid every which way and the pan gasket usually gets the blame.

I'm a little surprised you didn't use a torque wrench to make sure you didn't over-tighten the bolts. I have an inch-pounds torque wrench on my christmas list for just this kind of work. :)

Good call. I think it's about 15 ft. lbs., but I was just feeling like I'd make it snug and be done. Probably not the best idea but I think I was just kind of worn out at the end of the day. ha

I'm having the exact same from my c4 transmission in my 67 mustang. A couple years ago I swapped out the original transmission pan because I thought it was warped and I got one with a drain been through different gaskets and just Friday I ordered what looks like the same one you got in the video from national parts Depot and it just came in today. Hopefully it fixes my situation
